I now realized that you're accusing us of not showing sporting ethos by not properly congratulating Shitty.

Funny that i don't remember his grats for Pool trophies, is it my memory or his image of himself that is off??? 😀 Not that i expect any grats when Pool wins, i have no part of it.

Sounds like a good plan 👍 Way better than spamming two threads when none really cares that much when shitty plays with their own rules. But if you try to annoy and someone replies, don't become a victim and claim you are being dragged to something 😉 I was pretty sure that it was due that shitty wins cl so ain't jealous, pissed off or anything. Like said, match was really bad once again and certainly not worthy of cl final but other than that outcome was expected.

You mean what shenanigans ain't going on as there are so many 😄

Lukaku is still Chelsea player too and apparently heading to SA 🤑

Money from selling the club was suppose to go to Ukraine, yeah right 🤣

They just bought Enzo and now about to get Caicedo too for over 100M 🙃

Only thing they could screw things up more would be hiring Kahn as CEO

I understand, it must be a deeply ingrained cuckold mentality.

Nkunku to Chelsea now official. Great player, but I have a feeling we'll see him back in Leipzig in 2 years, similar to Timo Werner.

Shitty willing to go after Gvardiol after signing Kovacic? That would be absolutely hilarious if the team being under investigation for 115 cases of fraud, spends 100 M+ on a single defender.

I don't think you do, it may have been lost in translation but would you care to explain who has been cuckolded and how?

Meanwhile Dortmund are reported to be looking for a few specialist players, ones that have some sort of backbone and are willing to try to get their hands on a trophy, especially when being handed the cabinet keys and told when the guards are on holiday.

Sounds weird from a City supporter. City has all the advantages (legal and illegal) on Earth and couldn't win the Champions League until now, even when faced with the likes of Lyon or Tottenham, or even when leading until the last minutes (Real). They looked just the same clueless, no? And now, compare the budget of the two clubs. Ahh, and the backbone of the club owners...

Dortmund has the same problem as Arsenal. Most of their players are young and inexperienced to fight for a real title. That is the reason they both failed the same way and not that City and Bayern were unplayable.

I'm confused. What has being a City supporter got to do with not knowing whose wife is having a sexual affair with another man? This thread does take some interesting turns.

The thing about being young and inexperienced is that you have to be given the chance to grow and learn. I don't know the average length of tenure of managers in the Bundesliga but in the Premier League it seems instant success is demanded. Chelsea are notorious for that, even changing managers after success but I'm a fan of Mikel Arteta and it seems he is being given time to develop his players and systems, four years so far, another couple of years and he and Arsenal could be a big danger. I was so pleased for David Moyes, shown the door at United far too soon but allowed time at the Hammers and bringing a European trophy home. And of course Alan Hansen's famous "You can't win anything with kids," the kids in question going on to be one of the most successful teams in  Premier League history and doing that treble in '99

This year's final may have been poor (it was) but I'll forever have warm memories of City beating Bayern and dismantling Real on the way. It seems some people will never concede certain points, City can't win in Europe despite all their perceived advantages, fair or unfair, but when they do win it's because of the shortcomings of their opponents. C'est la vie.

City was the same two weeks ago in the CL. Being there at the opened door and failing like a loser. That's why it's weird from you to bash Dortmund for the very same. I'm confused:

To be fair, I said since the world cup that City will win the CL because the best teams seemingly fell apart after the WC. Feel free to scroll back through the various topics. And yeah, if City can not win with all the cheating and millions, that's a shame, if they can, that's fine.

The Dortmund bashing wasn't exactly for their failure, it was more a Wudu bashing, who seems determined to revel in anyone else's misery for failing while organising a victory parade for his own team which ultimately proved a tad premature.  We Cityzens have for years held the mantra "If anything can go wrong, it will," so to celebrate prematurely is not in our DNA.

Absolutely fair but my point is that some people can't accept City won it on merit but won it because other teams didn't stop them. It's always and forever going to be the case that you can only beat what's in front of you. If other teams weren't up to the task, so what? City didn't fall apart after the WC despite having as many if not more players playing in it.

Wudu confusing everyone by using a word obviously not knowing what it means, then pretending he's confused because no one can understand him, pathetic.

Yep, Haaland was dead tired after the WC, De Bruyne who said he didn't wanna go to Qatar was clearly fatigued too. And all the others who have been in the semifinals. Alvarez and... anyway, all of them 🙂

Making the point that City will win the Champions League because the best teams fell apart is far too simplistic. The best team of all didn't fall apart and won it, it's called managing.

Obviously, but it's way easier to manage it when your best (and maybe third best -thinking about Mahrez) player doesn't even attend the bloody winter world cup in Qatar, and except for one of your subs, no one goes deep in that tournament.

I don't mind, Man City will win it next year too, most of the giant teams need big and refreshing changes, and some of them don't even have the money to make it. And unfortunately, the rich countries from the Arab world wanna expand their power to Europe, so whatever they want, will happen. Football dies a bit every day.

I think that's scraping the bottom of the barrel for excuses about extra matches. This year City won the FA cup, 6 matches, and played 3 matches in the other cup, some years they'll run deep and others won't. If you really went deep and totalled all starting matches and minutes played for all the players for champions league contenders I daresay it averages out over the years, so imo not a valid excuse or reason.

I've said it before and will say it again, if every team in Europe were owned by oil billionaires there's still only one team that can win the Champions League. The obvious example is the NFL in America, they're all rich but only one wins the Superbowl.

I get the annoyance of sugar daddies buying clubs and i agree to some point but it is not all bad. For example ask Dortmund owners how they feel when they made hundreds of millions on arab money. Can't blame arabs if Dortmund don't invest money back to club. What i got problem with is when they don't play with same rules as others but other than that it should be just positive that they bring money to sport. Too bad we don't see any of that money in here to impove our league as if some Fin once in decade gets big transfer he has already travelled so many teams that we get nothing.

That last sentence i don't get at all. When has football been better and professional than now? Back in the days when players went practise after 8 hours of welding?

If you mean players wanting to go biggest and best clubs to have best chance of winning, that has been motivation already from junior leagues when no money is involved. At least we wanted to get to play to top team of out town insteaded of playing on our shit excuse of club in sand field 😆

Apparently we are now losing some top players to S-A but like i said already if money is the only motivation then good riddance, Euro football don't lose a thing.

I've just lost a few brain cells reading that. I think you've now surpassed the Stub as the regular commuity member with the dumbest posts!

TV gif. We look up at Rowan Atkinson as Mr. Bean wearing medical scrubs. He pulls down a surgical mask, gives a gloved thumbs up, and smiles maniacally.

In the NFL there's a hard salary cap for every team. There are still differences but still, in principle, every team has the same money to spend. There are no Arab states coming into the NFL breaking the rules 115 times, paying players/coaches/agents off the books and thus gaining advantages this way.

I said it before, from the business perspective, sugar daddies and Arab states bringing in money is even wanted by most of the players/agents/clubs. Transfer prices, salaries, agent fees, anything related to football appreciates in value if you have states pouring in dirty money. Everybody knows that Shitty and PSG are cheating, everybody knows that Barca is broke but these clubs move money. So of course, people have an incentive to turn a blind eye to all the fraud.

The English are just total cucks who let that happen to their leagues, not being able to think long-term. If the 50+1 rule in German foootball wouldn't exist, imagine what would happen if Saudi-Arabia decided to take over Schalke 04, for instance? You'd have riots by its fans with people literally being hunted in the streets.

Veikkausliiga is just a shit league, in order to get your share of oil money you need to develop players. Similar to what BVB, Red Bull, Benfica, Lyon and so on are doing. Of course, as a Finnish club, you won't be able to sell to Shitty or PSG but you could still attract and develop talent.

Do you think football in general is going down a sustainable path? In the US, you have a soulless product, but at least you have some kind of parity amongst the franchises.

Yeah, really bad job. In 30 years league transformed from hooligan show to most followed and successful league. Can't say it is failure.

Reality check. Can't compare to those teams to ours 😅

Players here don't get the visibilty and attention so there is no competition of possible buyers and therefore even if we got good player he has to be sold with peanuts or end up with nothing. And when we got just peanuts it impossible to improve our league. There should be some auto clause in every contract that some portion of every transfer fee goes backwards to all previous team. Even if it would be just tiny portion still better than nothing. Probably biggest transfer fee that Veikkausliiga team has got and how much value was lost:

No i don't, infact already cancelled my football channels when it cost nearly 100€ per month to see pl and cl. Rather go watch matches that i really want to see to pub than chip in to that robbery.

US have killed their sports with closed leagues but i would like to see some budget caps here too. How to implement between so many countries and leagues is another story.
