@Calin I'm very happy seeing this changed due to the initial settlement happening from an incomplete match report, apologies for the inconvenience again! Here's the message received in the case from the sportsbook: "Upon further checking, we have confirmed that we have settled the bet prematurely as we have used the match report until the 80th minute only. But we already resettled customer's bet to the correct outcome. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this." /Jeppe

Thank you for the picture @Roni, I hadn't realized that the one sent to you was actually a picture of the official report. What they're saying is that this is the report that was first made official by UEFA, not that we decided all of the sudden to settle the bets at 80 minutes of game time. I don't think this report comes out before the match ends, but do correct me if that isn't the case and it is instead updated live. I'll dig into the case with the sportsbook and see what they say on this feedback; I've never actually seen it be a mistake like that, where the official report just isn't finished. The relatively rare times the reports come out with errors( @TDW I realize this is the second case within a few weeks, but think about the thousands of bets that are settled correctly and quickly in this system), it's a single statistic that is changed because it was logged incorrectly initially. /Jeppe

@Calin @Roni I haven't seen the screenshot, but I agree that it's very poor work to send one out that's taken after 80 minutes and refer to that - I'll definitely follow up on that. I don't know if you received word from Customer Support, but the information we have from the Sportsbook in the case is that the first official UEFA report that came out from the match(from which we make the settlements) was later corrected. And yes, before you say it, it really sucks that a bet is settled as lost when it's not actually what happened in the match, from a perspective of wanting our players to have the best experience possible, it's actually one of the worst things I can imagine happening at all. The system isn't foul proof and the problem we have is that when the first settlement is done, the winners are paid out as well - so to you change yours to a winner, theirs would have to be settled as lost and money removed from the account, which might already be placed on another bet or set in motion to be withdrawn, as well a players generally also getting very frustrated with money leaving the account all of the sudden. Added together it's our opinion that it would bring a number of issues that we as a company believe are worse than the alternative of having to accept, that people who weren't supposed to win get to keep their winnings. You could argue that we should pay out all the bets when this situation happens and from a players perspective I wouldn't disagree with you, but as a betting provider we also want it fair in both directions. By that I mean, that since our intent is to settle bets as quickly and precisely as possible, we have to go by the first official report - if we waited x amount of minutes/hours to allow for UEFA and other sports bodies to correct possible mistakes, we'd be the slowest at settling bets of any betting provider you'd know. If we wanted to be quicker, we could settle off of information from the likes of livescore.com, but then we'd more errors than anyone else. The first official report is the compromise here, it's just very unfortunate when they make mistakes in it and we pay out a lot of money based on the information being official and correct. The official rule is in the spoiler: Result Settlement B.5.2: Settlement of bets will not include any changes deriving from and/or attributable to, but not limited to: disqualifications, penalizations, protests, sub judice results, and/or successive changes to the official result after the event has been completed and a result has been announced, even preliminarily. For bets referring to competitions which span over more than 1 round/stage (e.g. Season Bets), only amendments affecting bets which settlement has not been decided yet will be taken into consideration. Only those measures that are announced by the governing association before the last scheduled round/stage will be considered. Any changes effected after this time, or changes referring to bets which have already been settled based on events that happened during the event/competition will not be considered. Trying to find a silver lining, the bet might be settled incorrectly without a possibility of me getting it fixed, but it got you here on the Community, and from the bets you describe and the passion you speak with about it, I figure you guys might like to join our free SuperToto football competitions. Also, please do check your notifications tomorrow evening or in the weekend, while I can't change things here directly in this case, there is something I'd like to do for you guys, I just can't announce it before tomorrow. /Jeppe

@Yann Sorry for the troubles on this one, I agree that it's not a good situation and I remember we saw something similar happen, I believe last year, when bets where settled on the basis of the first official report(like always), which was then later corrected by the association. I'll get in touch with the Sportsbook and hear if there's a further explanation. but I cannot make any promises on getting it changed if it's in accordance with the Sportsbook terms and conditions, as well as what I've seen described here in responses from the live chat. /Jeppe

@sgriff I guarantee that we'd never block you from taking part in promotions for something that you wrote on here, I just wouldn't do that without a very good reason! I'm looking into it on your behalf with the UK team, but due to it being weekend it'll take a few days before I hear back on whether or not this is an error, or if team UK really don't want you to take part in the promotions going forward :wonder: /Jeppe

Sorry about that @heisenbergwern, we always try and have complete betting offers with as many scorers available as possible, but sometime the Sportsbook can't get them all in there, usually when it's players who might not be too active on the team for most of the matches. If you come across it again, fell free to ask for the availability beforehand and we can make a request for the Sportsbook to include it in the offering. /Jeppe

So the hands aren't from Unibet and there's no documentation of it actually happening other than a guy saying it in a video. I can't comment on other sites, but in the past I've played about 5 million hands myself and statistics of the outcomes didn't end up like the ones for the guy in the video - for sure I won a hell of a lot more with AA than AQ :) So what does that mean? Probably that no, 1 million doesn't equal forever and variance can happen even within a large sample like that, or perhaps the guy in the video isn't being truthful and is instead trying to get other people riled up about "the great poker scam" or whatever - I have no idea who he is and what his credentials are for talking about such a subject. I've been in poker for so long and I've seen badbeats you wouldn't believe, one of the very worst and most unlikely ones happened on a hot summer day at the Wynn in Vegas - so nothing phases me anymore in this regard, all there is to do is get back to a balanced state and play your best game again :)

Hi @bodvoc and welcome to the community :) You sort of answered your own question in that it has officially been declared a runner. I realize it can seem unfair at certain times, but we always settle bets based on official results as it's the only way to stay consistent in the settling of all bets. I haven't looked deeper into it, but gambling isn't illegal in the countries that we operate :) It not about illegal gambling but about restrictions like in the swedish market in where adding free stuff(?) are not allowed etc. For countries where we've deemed it necessary to exclude certain promotions, we've made it so the promotions board cannot be seen. So it would have to be some pretty specifc rules that would cover for members of quite a few countries not being able to join. The idea was to make a disclaimer, saying that you as a member agree to put up a free bet or bonus stake for this exact promotion, and everyone would have to write that they agree. But if there isn't really any interest for this kind of promotion, it's not something I'll pursue :)

Is that even allowed due to gambling laws? What is my incentive here except that it raises the variance like crazy? I won once in 8 matchdays, with 3 guys pooling it up, I might win once in half a year, emphasis on "might"... I haven't looked deeper into it, but gambling isn't illegal in the countries that we operate :) The incentive would be for you to compete vs other members in your own mini competition within the SuperToto. You and some others choosing to do that, I see no different than when people sign up for and play against each other in a Poker MTT or SNG, except here there'd be no rake :)

@Blessed I realize that you are frustrated, but the least you can do is speak properly and not call people "motherf's" and what not - consider this a small warning. As for the subject at hand, how long do you feel a run should be before you can say that there should be no variance? Secondly, how did you get a million hands from Unibet into a poker help program? Secondly, sometimes it's good to take a break from poker and gain a bit of perspective from afar instead of staying in the middle of it where bad beats will increase the frustration to levels that should never be reached - I'm speaking from experience here :) /Jeppe

Been thinking if people in the competition would be interested in a "Bet the prizes feature"? :) Proposal I was thinking was that if you win e.g €10 one week, then pooling it up vs others for the next week before Ray or I add it to your account. Then the next week, the members who have joined the pool play internally in a winner take all setup vs each other. Example: Livertool has just won €10 value, instead of me adding it to his account, he writes in a thread that he'd like to pool it. Maruni and Wudu who's also won €10 value says "Hey, we'd like that too!". So the next week, Livertool, Maruni and Wudu compete for a €30 Bonus, Free Bet or equivelant in Poker Points between themselves as well as being in the new main competition. The size of the pool could be as high as many members would be willing to join, wouldn't see a need to limit this.

I've decided to make the Wiki thread into a general discussion thread for the SuperToto as well, as there's some discussion about certain subjects that I feel will get kind of lost in the regular weekly promotion threads - so better to keep it here instead. I've been moving some posts from the most recent SuperToto about the X strategy that I think are pretty interesting, and I've removed som of the posts that were already here in the topic as they didn't really have anything to do with SuperToto or the OP :) /Jeppe
