@swooon

There's been some kind of a mistake with the setup of that.

Stubbe gave the below answer to another member with the same problem on the poker chit chat thread:

@jerry, thanks! Saw the report in the betting chit chat as well and forwarded it to the guys. Don't worry, we'll credit tickets manually tomorrow 🙂

@cris1285/ @FreedoM, your bets were actually placed on NBA Play-IN games, rather than NBA Play-OFF games which is why there were not in the list I had (Who knew play-ins were a thing)

- To qualify for a ticket for the exclusive €1,500 Betting Freeroll in April, players must place a bet of at least €10 (or Currency equivalent) on any NBA Playoff match between 15th April 2022 and 17th April 2022 within the Unibet Sports site. Pre and live bets count.

I worked it out after crediting the tickets so you can keep them.

So play ins, play offs, and why not everyone who logs in gets ticket. Welldone boys, welldone.

Asked @Stubbe-Unibet about stats how new betting freeroll will come through and he said he will deliver stats and have high hopes if not great belief that this new one is better if not awesome. Yeah, stats will look awesome now for unibet "promo team". "Look how many took shot at it" 🤣

Not sure why you didn't get a ticket. Can see the valid bet so have manually added for you.

Also placed a bet without getting a ticket! Or did I also also bet on a play-in instead of a play-off match? This is all very confusing for all us non-NBA experts, who just wanted to make a bet to join this bonus tournament 😄

I suggest next time you include play-in matches as well, if they happen around the same time 😉 (Ive never even heard of the definition before)

The ID of my bet was: 4573729352

Could you look into it @Andy-Unibet?

Btw, when you click on NBA in the betting section at unibet, I doesnt say anything about whether a game is a play-off or play-in game.

I think most people will have no clue about the difference, hence youre likely to get a lot of people betting on the wrong games, thinking they qualified for the betting freeroll.

Thats a setup error, the person in charge for the promo didnt even know about the playin. The promotion period started from the 15th (with playin games running), but the traditional PO started on the 16th.

The good thing is that we still have community, where mods (usually) fix these kind of errors. 👍

The last time I logged into the lobby I had a ticket and this time I don't?  😕 Why and quite a funny situation, because I did not bet on any meeting with the NBA on 15-17 April 😅

This is my last bets on Unibet and before that it was only on Apr 12 🤪  but you can add a ticket like the last one 🤫🤭

There was something wrong with the setup, so they decided to give a ticket to everyone that logged into the client during a certain time period. That's how you got the previous one 🙂

@100HourChallenge, bet was placed on Play-In game which is why a ticket has not been credited.

I agree it wasn't the best that there were both play-in and play-off games on the same weekend the promotion ran. I expect Seb wasn't aware either when we asked the sportsbook team for the event codes that would trigger a ticket.

You were sent the email, along with a number of other customers, in error. It was an email that was supposed to go out to customer that had placed a qualifying bet but had not registered the tournament last Monday.

And your conclusion was the people who played at play-in games shouldn't get a ticket??? Even saying that you didn't even know yourself that there were both play-in and play-off games that weekend. Thats a bit ridiculous. I made this bet in the hopes of getting a ticket to this free roll.

But yeah, thanks for looking into it @Andy-Unibet

The fact I didn't personally know play-in games existed doesn't change the promotion and the T&Cs which stated bets needed to be on play-off games. I didn't create the promotion and didn't have anything to do with the setup of it, I just have to try and find a fair solution when a problem like this comes up.

In this case, the poker team has no control over how the sportsbook presents games and I don't know how it looked at the time to know if it was clear that some games were play-in and some were play-off. Some of the responsibility does fall on the customer here to ensure the bet their placing is going to qualify for a promotion but we should also be more aware of situations like this and made sure all possible events that a customer could consider part of the promotion are included.

Obviously we could have given all play-in bets a ticket but that would be unfair for all the players that did place a play-off bet as they'd have to play in larger field freeroll even though they followed the T&Cs.

Thanks for the response.

yes, fair enough, although I think many of those who followed T&Cs were just luckier, when placing the bets.

the way I did it was just to click on NBA and place a bet on the first available match(never heard of play-in’s before 😅)
