These Are the Voyages...

Super frustrating night. Got places 3, 4, 4 and 6 from small fields and busted last and only real megafield at 14th which had almost 2k€ for winner. One 4th place was from 10€ R/A Megastack turbo.

Community leaderboard continues as a trainwreck, no cash:

Might skip Saturday and rest of series. But let's see - if I feel good at playing in Saturday then I will probably reg PLO events too.

Part of the problem with current league is that point system is heavily flawed. Using cashes as "points" has lots of issues in comparison to better point systems, but maybe most major of those is that as latter leaderboard events have smaller fields and thus smaller prize pools making it almost impossible to reach top2 at the leaderboard when one is this far behind.

You think so for nothing. As the practice of previous seasons shows, everything can change even in a week, and at the moment even half of the distance has not been covered. Even I'm not writing myself off in this race yet, and it's much too early for you 😉

The fact that you are only interested in the first two places will of course complicate the situation, but the difference is less than 200 euros and there are 20 tournaments ahead. Still can happen.

Yeah, problem just is that getting 2 trophies is harder than it sounds. And while you get 2 trophies, other players will also score some points so you stay behind. And as I mentioned, fields go smaller and when we have 50-60 players at the events top prize will only be like 70-80 euros so you would have to win 3 while your competitors shouldn't get meaningful points.

Main issue supporting not playing these is just that only reason I "have to" play in Tuesday and Saturday are these events, and other leaderboards (and other promotions) where I fare better are around Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. Playing 3 compulsory weeks a day leaves much more room instead of 5 compulsory days.

And on those 3 days I usually have my screen full of tables when league events run, since all events run around same time slot 😄

You can't really tell the lone wolf near prey to back off.

That's your world. It's not THE world.

Big Sunday. Horrible Sunday. With like almost 1000€ of buy-ins and biggest cash being 60€ or so (also got 3x 100€ tickets and used them, one of them to Supernova) it is quite clear that losses were considerable, about 500€ or so. Had 50€-100€ MTTs alongside regular stuff - juicy opponents there too, but nasty dealers everywhere.

Also lost all leaderboard stuff maximal way this week (from 1st -> 5th at the most important one). Demoralizing stuff really. Need to go for a long walk, next week gonna try to have 3 good days of game.

Two MTTs from Unibet today.

Salty heads-up loss though. Opponent was 4 times at all-in flip against me with worse cards at the FT with his stack in the middle, but won every single one (splitted one).

Zero cashes from like 15 MTTs on other sites, so pretty bad day. Probably about break-even, with 100€ ticket extra. At least better to go break-even than for loss - there were lots of great value satellites on other site so bit different day as skipped most O8-MTTs today.

The New Schedule introduced 10 months ago was in my opinion just horrible. Step from boring yet working schedule to despising copy-paste from other sites, which has absolutely 0 chance to be successful.

And this was despite leaderboards (which I love) which did run for 2-3 months and so on - I still preferred earlier schedule with lots of great MTTs like Neptune R/A's and other stuff. And after leaderboards were over, there were few reasons left to play on Unibet - mainly 2 remaining R/A MTTs.

As Titan (nowadays €1500 turbo megastack) was again ruined by another useless limbo level, I will probably skip all Unibet regular MTTs in the future as there is only one playable tournament left at regular schedule which is 5€ R/A hyper.

So - until the next series where I will again come and catch leaderboard top spot (at least if promotion is good enough in comparison to the schedule buy-ins).

Back at the games yesterday, I kept 100€ ticket for participating into series first day and played all 6 events + some satellites. Bad start, just 1 high bounty and bunch of small ones.

Overall games were super high for me, like around 1k€ buy-ins and disappointingly deepruns didn't go well (100€ 55k€ guaranteed PKO ITM with good amount of bounties, super salty 5th place at 82$ NLO8 hyper PKO and 2nd place at the 10€ PLO R/A) but brought enough back with few satellite seats that made it break-even. Huge potential though.

Been having horrible diarrhea all around last week, so it gave extra difficulty level last night 😄 Probably playing today too, let's see if I get more bounties at the leaderboard! Probably streaming like I did yesterday, feel free to say hi though it is in Finnish mostly: https://www.twitch.tv/farseerfinland

We're gonna win on so many levels! We're gonna win, win, win. You're gonna get so tired of winning, you're gonna say: "Mr. President please, we don't wanna win anymore, it's too much!" And I'm gonna say: "I'm sorry, we're gonna keep winning because we're gonna make America great again!"

Horrible day at Unibet PKOs. 18th at low leaderboard ja dead at high leaderboard (tickets used). Probably skipping rest of the series unless I find motivation on grinding low events and alongside that grind other MTTs.

While day looked horrible, at the end managed to win 5€ PLO R/A for over 400€ and 33$ PLO8 turbo PKO for around 666$. With high'ish buy-ins profitable day, but not as much as one would've hoped.

Texas Tournaments drained a lots of money and Omaha / Omaha Hi-Lo brought it back. Regular day at the office.

PKO Series went super bad. Got only few bounties and only cash was this one (blindfight might have seen bit worse hands from opponent):

d387.png?width=1318&height=770

At least won another 5€ PLO R/A for almost 500€, so Sunday week and week were mildly profitable despite high buy-ins draining a lot of money.

It is getting more tempting to move more into PLO / PLO8 / NLO8 MTTs. Gotta check out if I could get calendar over them - problem with Texas MTTs are that they run quite late, have bigger fields and thus bigger variance and PLO / O8 players are generally very weak.

Computer is working well after 9 years, but old Windows 8.1 is giving problems. First poker site to pull the plug off was Unibet:

u11.png?ex=6542dbdd&is=653066dd&hm=3d109

At least it is easy now to skip the upcoming UOS, which would have been super hard to grind anyway. Unless I manage to find time + make a successful update from Win8.1 to Win10 or Win11. Very unlikely though.

Have had really hard time to find any energy or time to play, but today morning got a nice 1,6k$ trophy as had to play to keep up my bonuses.
