Personally i have little interest anymore what happens in club football for rest of season so might as well set sight for Euros, "only" month to go...

First appearence for Finland so that gives me xtra excitement (thou it came from bending the old rules so crap countries can participate too 🤐 ) .Our squad ain't top of the line but honestly i don't see any coach getting them play any better as team than Kanerva.

Belgium should be group our winner but battle open for 2nd and 3rd place against Denmark and Russia. Ofc we need our best players to be fit, Pukki is out for few weeks now which ain't optimal preparing for matches, Pohjanpalo is weak like straw and could be out anytime but if he is in shape he can do damage like hat trick against Bremen couple of weeks ago shows. Kamara, Hradecky, Arajuuri also important for team... Not going to do lot of betting to Finland matches but hopes are up.

On the other side of coin we have team like Germany where player material is great but coach enjoys more picking his nose than coach his team. Haven't seen them play for while but there is quite mixed results, maybe @WuDu can share behind scene info from that.

And as we have most nationalities represented here in community, feel free to share any news, predictions etc from your national team that may help fellow bettors to ease their desicions.

Idk if turkish people are allowed to use unibet but @WuDu must have good insight for their team as well, Germany full of them

It'll be between Denmark and Belgium 😉

It's beyond me how England can be favorites, considering both their recent history but also performance in the last couple of years (not that surprising when we keep in mind bookies have far overestimated the abilities of the English squad in the past WC's and EC's.

Agree with England. Once again there is expectations but so often they haven't delivered.

Belgium has walked over both Denmark and Russia with good margin lately so no doubt about winner of group. But Lukaku for top scorer might make sense, high scoring team, when they win group they will face 3rd from other group which theorically should be easier opponent than some other group winners face and like said they have and will destroy Denmark and Russia. Then again they will face us too, max 1 goal them in that one 😋 . And don't see him taking possible penalties which is always bad in top scorer bets.

Ronaldo odds only 10? Ain't what he used to be and decent chance Portugal goes home after group stage. I order everyone not to put any cent for him 😃

@Livertool

Some funny intro, that's for sure! 😄

However, I don't follow "Die Mannschaft" anymore and I have not watched the last Euro as well as the last WC. I only follow the BVB! OK, if Germany's faith was on the line, I watched the 2nd half against Korea in 2018 e.g.

Speaking of the team, I think there are 12 different Germans who played or are about to play in the UCL finals of 2020 and 2021. Plus guys like Kroos, Sane, Hummels, Reus...However Löw is stupid and already being replaced with Flick after the tourney, so I wouldn't put my trust in them.

I can't say much about the Turks,  but I see what you did there. 😂 I haven't seen them do an "Autokorso" for a long time, so I wouldn't bet on them.

Speaking of the Euro, I stopped watching when they decided to play the tournament with 24 teams. I remember when the world cup was played with 24 teams, so this inflation to milk more TV money is completely ridiculous. Hey, if Hungary or Wales or Latvia plays one heck of a qualification and kicks out the likes of Italy or England, all the power to them and good luck at the main event, but artificially adding teams like Finland, N Ireland, N Macedonia, Iceland, Slovakia? Thanks, but no thanks...

With regards to the Euro2020, the football business in general is pushing the corona narative like crazy (sitting alone in the stands with masks on 🤣) . I understand, it's all show to keep the leagues open. However how you can then play a tournament where teams travel all over Europe is beyond me. Hotels are empty right now and fans are not allowed in the stadia anyway (at least I think so), so why are they not playing the tournament in the Ruhr area or the greater London area?

And don't get me started on the WC in Qatar next year. Anybody watching this travesty before Christmas really deserves the Super League.

We're gonna win on so many levels! We're gonna win, win, win. You're gonna get so tired of winning, you're gonna say: "Mr. President please, we don't wanna win anymore, it's too much!" And I'm gonna say: "I'm sorry, we're gonna keep winning because we're gonna make America great again!"

Not sure if joking? 😄

Both the games against Denmark were close. Belgium won both with 2 goals and were the better team, but by a tiny margin: they created the same number of chances pretty much and possession was very even as well.

Last that i read was that at least some amount of fans are allowed which ofc would be nice to see.

I'm not so concerned about number of teams or what flag is in shirt but if they manage to bring any effort to field. Fe. Iceland performance in 2016 was enjoyable, whole lot better than Euro winner Greece in 2004 which was worst antifootball known to mankind, team that has made to final tourny multiple times. Having said that, i wouldn't mind Finland to win 1-0 every match but for others it ain't allowed 😆

Funny that we look at same stats but views so different. Way i see it, 2 matches with 6-2 goals (actually only one made by danish for other being og), Belgium winning both with 2 goal margin (which imo ain't close), shots on goal 11-4. Sure possession and goal attemps were pretty close but you can't make goal if shot ain't inside posts 😉

I didn't watch matches, you probly did so i can't arque what happened there but numbers are pretty clear to me.

Chances created a better metric 😉 But yeah, was mostly based on watching the games - it really was two close games.

Also worth checking the Danish WC and EC record (including qualification) last four years: see if you can spot a defeat in regular time 😉

Russia and Czech are stronger than at least 5 poll teams 🤣 and Slovakia will make upset and say farewell to Zlatan and Lewandowski 😆

Czech got actually very interesting team now. If only they would find a proper striker [Schick is not the answer] they would be dangerous to everyone.

Picked Spain, they have some problems but dont see Belgium doing it with deadwood Hazard [aside note, how Zidane could pick him for the most important match in the season, just big 🤣🤣] and i think France will collapse very early. Feel like Hollland [only with Van Dijk] and Italy could be in final four along with.....tadaaaaaaa

Spoiler

Germany.  And Werner will be torschutzenkonig.

I left those countries out that don't have many or any members in community, hard to see anyone outside Russia to pick Russia as winner. But if Russia or any country outside poll wins, i'll raffle and ship bottle of Stolishnaya to some community member 😆

Interesting to see how Netherlands and Italy do for sure. Both have decent chance to win their group which could mean slightly easier path to advance further...

Euro without another top player.

Marco Reus has announced that he has decided not to take part in the European Championships for Germany. He wants to let his body rest in order to start next season optimally.

More likely that Captain Ball Sniffer told Reus that he won't be starting with Müller, Gnabry, Werner, Sane and Havertz around and Reus then decided to rather spend time with his wife and daughter than Jogi Löw. Totally reasonable.

Next to Müller, Hummels is also coming back...

Also incredible to see which players France is leaving at home...

Germany won the U21 Euro, so is this going to be an omen? 🙈

Funny thing is that except Ridle Baku and Wirtz, whom every fantasy player should know by now, there are no potential stars on the team, just solid (Bundesliga) players. No comparison to the team that won the U21 in 2009.

U21s is coached by Löw Jr? No? Well, that explains why they had shot of winning 🤡

You were really lucky against Denmark. Late equalizer and penalties. Good game against Netherlands and pretty even final with Portugal [to me Germany was better even if Portugal had clearer chances].

You know brother of Baku [name after the player Karlheinz Riedle, IMO one of the best header specialist ever, usually i dislike german players from a get go but that one was one of my favs] was playing this season in Poland in one of the poorest aufsteigers Warta Poznan? Mostly pace merchant with little to no technique but he was pretty decent there, score some goals and now some better teams in Poland are after him.

Germany are one of my favs to win euro. Lets be honest who are favourites? Spain picked ridiculous squad [took them here before Enrique announce it], Belgium will be carrying deadwood Hazard and [probably] De Bruyne [dont see him having a great tournament in a fookin mask], England with Southgate is a big no.

We are leaving with France [top favourite after return of Benzema], stacked Portugal [they play just dire football now, but they played the same when they won the Euro] and Germany with great offensive power. If Werner scores 3-4 goals Havertz 2-3, Kimmich 2 i dont see them lower than semis, even with Loew and that defence.

Que?

Compined goals for that trio this season was around 10 😂

But anyhow, Spain and Portugal in quarantine now so that doesn't help them at all. Not that i would give much chances to Portucal in any case but anyways.
