Dennis__
technically most of us have lost with quads several times. Namely when we play the board. But of course that doesn´t feel like real quads, does it:atisfied:
GR1ZZL3R
The funniest one I ever saw was flop of QQQ with 5 limpers in the hand . It checked all the way and the turn brought an A. Checked all the way again and rivered another Q, so AQQQQ. the first player bet, second folded 😃 third called, 4th and 5th folded. 🤣 Maybe they thought someone holding an Ace had a better hand. :wonder: It was a long time ago. 5 "How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?" GR1ZZL3R
Four Kings.I'd won on one ticket and closed with a profit but struggling on the other so opened a second table.Won a small amount on one, got paid out on the other.Closed the tables, :atisfied:I wasn't ratholing, I'd played over an hour, plenty for me. 🤣 6 "How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?" laifstaile
i have won that kind a hand quads on board with A....on river villain thought i have some more awesome hand.... CuteRaven
I don't think leaving the tables when you win counts as ratholing anyway :). I think it's ratholing if you leave with the intention of coming back immediately/soon with a shorter stack.

GR1ZZL3R
Calling all players.Seven players left in the sattie, 3 tickets to play for, I'm in reasonable shape in 2nd place. The sb on my right is asleep and no danger, so the question is............should I call? I've a feeling I know the answer anyway but some thoughts would be appreciated. CuteRaven
This is a call I'm pretty sure, you are still far enough away from being in the money.Apparently this is the GTO calling range, I would have guessed something a bit tighter even. But it depends on how wide villain is shoving, of course (GTO shoving range is apparently 44%, but many players could be much tighter than that):
GR1ZZL3R
Thanks @CuteRaven more or less what I thought. I shoved, correct decision, wrong result, villain had 99 and flopped a 9. I deleted some screenshots and can't go through the rest of the tourney but luckily I ran well then, made a €50 ticket followed by another the night after. 😃Another win today so the pile is growing.I played the three freezeouts last night, €25, €5 and 0.25c and to be honest, though the results weren't terrific, and following discussions in other threads, I'm more and more coming round to the idea of playing more mtts. I was 61/228 in the mid, 126/215 in the low and cashed in 15th out of 210 in the low, after limping past the bubble in 33rd/35 with 3.5 bbs then hitting a solidish streak. Looking at my bankroll I really have more than I thought.Apart from the €618 of UK and UO tickets I have 2 cash tickets still going, €113 cash and €260 of bonus points, and over the last few weeks have regained some enthusiasm, though I wont be grinding sngs ( or cash or Hexanonos or even mtts ) for 12 hours a day. Winter is ever nearer and the holiday has had to be rescheduled for March next year. The government put Malta on the only absolutely necessary travel list so the insurance company politely cancelled our insurance. :Teardrop: The flight's still going but too risky now, the UK probably going into stricter lockdown next week, so a rebooking has been made at a bargain cost of just £80 more.:Veryangry: I'll just have to make some extra money.Run Good. 7 "How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?" Dennis__
grinding SNGs for 12 hours a day sounds like a really stupid idea. I wonder who in his right mind would be doing something like that:haha:
MadAdo
@GR1ZZL3R well done man 👍 Looks like your pile growing should never end 😏So maybe it is comming a time when you should squeeze some cash from it ? 🆗 Other than that I'm quite surprised where you collect such a nice amount of Bonus points ? Those shouldn't came from awesome promotions here, aren't they ? 😏 Keep up the great job and enjoy all the winter times - X-mas is comming to all of us 🤣

GR1ZZL3R
An extremely rare situation. 🤣 Ahead on 4 tables, what on earth's going on. Very strange in the tourneys as well. Four candles Kings. I got down to HU in the €5-€50 then had a nice surprise when I realised there were two tickets after all the rebuys. 🤣I lost in the €1-€10 but in the UK, another win for 3 x €5. Happy days. :Smile:I am playing a few more tourneys as the ticket stash is growing and I'm having to juggle with not losing them, so it's a case of pressing on a bit now, although I'm not sure yet if I want to go for the UK event in the next UOS. 7 "How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?" GR1ZZL3R
This one's a slow burner!A quiet start, slowly sinking then took a hand. Down to 11th of 12, I'd tried playing a hand or two but nothing doing, so after I shoved and got called I got #lucky. Then the fun bit kicked in.Still 11th of 12 I shoved and got called. Two hands later another shove and call.Next hand a small raise, I 3bet and villain shoved. This put me at chipleader with about 50,000, roughly 53,000 average neede for the top 5 and a €10 ticket, but it wasn't over yet.Four hands later I raised, villain called, then shoved the flop. That took me to 80,000 chips so plenty of time to sit back. Adrenaline rush over. 😃I played a small hand against a small stack small raise. The only other hand of note was this.A year or so ago I would probably have called that, but I've done it so often in the past and come to regret it that now I can let these situations pass by with no regrets. I see it every day when big stacks get involved when there's absolutely no need to, and dribble their chips away. One hour and 46 minutes, probably 14/15 hands played, not the most exciting of games but these tourneys are fast becoming my favourites. 🤣Happy hunting. 8 "How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?" Pesek
@GR1ZZL3R Are you trying to beat a Guiness record with number of tickets?
GR1ZZL3R
@Pesek It's a vexing question that has me going round in circles undecided what to do. The original intention was to qualify for a live tourney, either the UO or UK tour, and I did get a UK final ticket but due to the current situation, used it in the UK final in the last UOS series. I'm pretty sure I could win more final tickets but the current rules state that you can only hold two at a time, so any won would have to be used in the online versions which I'm not as keen on playing. Therefore I'm going round in circles breaking down the higher value tickets as and when they're due to expire and the stash just keeps growing, out of control, and before long I can see it's going to be super-saturated. I've decided I simply must play the €50 UK qualifiers as and when I need to and stop worrying about the numbers untill I absolutely have to, after all the stack is growing but it's not bringing me any benefit. :teardrop: 4 "How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?" Merenitsu
@GR1ZZL3R Remember when I was collecting unibet open tickets. I just got rid of all the small ones and at the end I played tournaments for only 50 euros and a few for 10. Because if you have tickets for 50, 10, 4 and 1 euros. In tournaments for 1 euro you will play very badly. There were days when I played 1-3 tournaments for 50 euros and 3-4 for 10. Nevertheless, everything ended when I lost 2 finals, not through my own fault, but through the fault of the software. I took a chance, did everything right and lost. Fate. But I got the experience and understanding that if everything was logical and the percentages were decided, I would have been playing live tournaments for a long time. Therefore, for a while, I refused it. Not everything depends on us 😃
GR1ZZL3R
@Merenitsu The idea was to get rid of the small value tickets but the fact is they are easy to accumulate and I enjoy playing in the low qualifiers, and there is only one €5 UK per day and only one €50 UK every week so slightly limited options. I'll have more chances in the New Year as I'll take up the UO trail again, but I disagree with thinking you'll play badly in the smaller tourneys if you have higher value tickets, you certainly shouldn't do, those are the ones for little or no outlay giving a chance at the higher levels, and I certainly wouldn't give up and blame the software after only two finals. :wonder:The fact is I've taken a quite long time to gather these tickets, I really do have to be in the mood to play. Apart from the daily UK €1-€10 (still my favourite) and the UK specials (second favourite and easiest way ever of making tickets) I'm virtually only playing when tickets back up and I have to, and feel if I can do it then a lot more could, and in a much shorter time, so good luck to those just starting. I keep saying I'll play more then back down when it comes to it, but untill the situation becomes clearer I'll probably just keep plodding along, letting the stash grow till there's an and everything comes crashing down. 4 "How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?" Merenitsu
@GR1ZZL3R I wish you success, my friend. But the choice of your path is strange. Better to go to tournaments where the jackpot is bigger. But to blame or not to blame is my decision, as well as yours.
GR1ZZL3R
@Merenitsu I don't know why you think my path is strange. :wonder: As I said my original intention was to go through the qualifying ranks for a live tournament. I already had a stockpile of tickets when the covid virus hit and stopped live play, so I had to keep playing my tickets while waiting for something to change. I didn't really intend to let the pile grow so high, but as I have no intention of deliberately losing them and they can't be used at the moment, this is the unforseen consequence. I did use my first UK package ticket for the online UK final but that is not what I wanted to do, so I'm still in the situation that I have to keep using them while hoping live tourneys will return at some point. As I'm playing I'm managing to keep winning, so the pile keeps growing. As a sidenote, it's not that I think I have any more chance of making money in a live setting rather than online, (realistically slim to none, although I would have made money on the expenses side of the package) I've done it for the experience and the challenge. 5 "How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?" Merenitsu
@GR1ZZL3R If you live in the UK it is very good and convenient. In live tournaments with no experience, you only stand a chance with a lot of luck. Until you try, you won't understand.😃 How many tournaments do you play per day?
GR1ZZL3R
@Merenitsu Basically I'm only playing to keep the ticket stack turning over as it was never my intention to play online tourneys. Playing for many hours then getting your AA or KK beaten with 74o when still outside the money just isn't my idea of fun. At least if it was live I could go and do something else. Having said that I still intend to start playing some mtts with my pile of bonus points, maybe starting in the new year and keeping proper records. I'd probably look to playing just 2-3 small tourneys at a time, maybe in the evening, so I'd be grateful for some recommendations, with the emphasis on fun. 😃 2 "How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?"
