First impression: Runs a lot smoother. But i minimize my tables the text and cards is unreadable. I play 10 tables at a 13inch laptop screen. Back to the old softeware to this is sorted out. Make the text+cards clearer and i am sure this is a good update :)

question about 2.0, are the challenges-points resetting on januari like it says on the old unibet client, or will it reset in december with the 2.0  version?

Hello, new client is nice but there only one thing that I dont like too - the cards on the board they're looking inclined and it hurts anyways.. I think you need to change the look to a classic straight looking board maybe numbers, letters could be bigger too per card :) 👍

Here we go then, contructive feedback on the PC client, page by page.

All noted on Windows 10 using either 3200 x 1800 at 200% or 1920 x 1080 as the resolution.

Lobby

Firstly, I like the new loading screen. :) Having used the client for a few days now it's clear everything has been designed to work on a tablet/mobile. I understand this, it's becoming a bigger slice of the market, but I think it' damaged the experience on the PC. The like the lobby in general. The full width banners are nice and all the fonts are nice a big and easy to read.. apart from the one in the screengrab. The 'Full Schedule' button looks like something that was added 30 minutes before they compiled the build. It just looks out of place, the font is too small and it appears to be spaced incorrectly. I think you could nudge up the game options slightly and get a bigger button that fits in with the rest of the scheme without affecting anything.

I just don't like the fade put on things in the client. I understand it's trying to highlight there are things below the ones you can see on the screen but a tried and tested arrow would have worked just aswell without making text harder to read. I also think the scroll bar is way too small. There is plenty of room to make the clickable area bigger.

The challenge circle thing, I get it, but If I was a new player who had logged in for the first time and saw a set of three circles with nothing in them I would have no idea what it was. I think it needs something under it to tell you what it is. I understand after you click it the first time you'll know but it's not like space is at a premium here so it wouldn't do any harm. The other thing, and this is consistant throughout the client, is tooltips. There are none. Even a tooltip that would tell you what teh circle meant would make things more user firendly IMO. 

The same thing applies for the Options when you press the Unibet logo at the top left. A first time player might not even realise that there are settings in there until you click on it. There is room at the top of the client for the settings cog and log out (which would be handy for mobile users). 

Why is there a deposit icon when there is this massive button when you click on your balance? It seems redundant. Also the text in this window seems small and the buttons are difficult to read with light grey on dark grey. Since it's a popup this window could be bigger to improve readability. 

It appears you can't see 'All Notifications' anymore like you could in 1.0. I hope that comes back. It makes recording things a lot easier if you have multiple tables open. I'd also like to see bounty notifications contain info on what MTT the bounty came from. There is lots of room per notification for that and would make recording much easier. This also applies to notifications about recieving money from challenges. It just says 'You have received cash' but does not say why. Adding 'by completing a challenge step' or something similar would make things a lot clearer. The scroll bar in the notification popup is bigger but till too small IMO.

 

Profile

 

I like the profile page, it's clean and does what it needs to do. If I was to be picky (and you already know I am :)) I'd add a % value to the bonus section just because people are used to that. I also think the fonts in the ticket sections are too small. The ticket Icon is huge and it's got a tiny font for the value and expiry time. Also the light grey on dark grey for what the ticket actually is is hard to read. This could do with being bigger and white on grey. I would like to see Profile/Challenge/History be in tabs so that there is more of a clickable area to hit when you want to navigate. If your not bang on the word nothing happens.

I mentioned this about the web client and I'll say the same thing for the desktop, there is no need for a drop down menu in the challenge section to choose between NLHE and PLO, Just put them side by side and you can toggle between them. I don't understand why there is an option to expand the Rewards section. The space underneath it is not used for anything so just have it expanded by default and be done with it. The other option is to move the bullet points to the right and get rid of the i you have to press to find out what your current challenge is. This should be available instantly and not hidden behind an icon IMO. I actually prefer that option now I think about it, go with that one :)

Not much has changed in the history section :) Unfortunately with the new window sizing you get less of the hand history on the screen at one time which is a shame for anyone wanting to post hands on the community or forums. Hopefully there will be a way to possibly popout the hand history so you can get the whole thing on the screen or a button to auto screengrab the hand in the future. The silly fade is also not needed here, it makes the hand number at the top hard to read and the chip stack at the bottom almost impossible to see. The scroll bar is dark grey on darker grey which is inconsistant with the rest of the client and almost invisible. The history page is also the only page with a 'back' arrow that takes you bake to the profile page. It doesn't match the other pages and seems inconsistant with how you navigate around the client. I would just remove it :).

Have achievements gone? I can't find them anywhere and nobody has badges in 2.0. I think it's a good move, they didn't really add anything :)

 

Main MTT Lobby

I don't understand with this much space on the screen tournament names are being cut off. The columns for Game/Entrants/Speed/Buy-in could all be half as wide and nothing would be lost. Check out my handywork in paint..

All that room for tournament name activities :) Other than that, the MTT lobby does it's job. I'd like to see colour introduced but I've said that for ages :). I think there should be a divider between My Registered Tournaments/My Tournament Tickets/Viewed Tournaments as you just don't know where the clickable area is between one and the other. When you click on one of the MTTs near the bottom of the listing the popup appears below the bottom of the active window. I think it would be good is the lobby snapped down to instantly show you the popup instead of being forsced to scroll down to see the content. I also don't like the fade ;)

 

Individual MTT Lobby

Look how clean those fonts look at the bottom without the fade :Inlove:. The pictures are pretty but unnecessary IMO. They're just generic and add nothing to the lobby. They also waste space for information that is more important. Without the picture you could get another 2 or 3 levels/potions on the non-expanded window. I like the expanded window, minus the fade obviously. The only thing missing is Registration time remaining. I'd like to see that somewhere but it's a small thing. The whole lobby being it's own window would be great too. We're away from Adobe Air now so hopefully that's something on the cards. If you can do it with the hand replayer... ;)

 

Cash Table

 

Everyone has already had their say on the cards/font so we'll skip over that. The new simple 4-colour deck in the latest build Andrew posted looks perfect :Veryhappy:. I miss the dealer though :( His chat was always informative and helpful if you missed some action. I'm guessing it's gone because there will be a hand replayer so RIP the dealer. Most players will know that the three dots at the bottom will open the sit out options but as a new player you just wouldn't know. There is plenty of room for it to say 'Sit Out' instead of the dots IMO. I did notice the casino buttons on the latest screenshot so there may not be room in the new build but I'm sure you could shufflethings up a bit to get it all in there. I think the window with the options should appear above the button and not over it so you can close it without having to move the cursor. At the moment you have to click somewhere other than the window to get it to close.

I think the Waiting for BB notification should be over/under the players Avatar, not on the table. This looks like I'm waiting for the big blind, not the player next to me. I still think the pot chips should be above the community cards or at least further down so they don't overlap the cards. Placement of things like check and fold appear further into the table for the bottom three players than the top three which looks strange. The total pot font looks completely different from everything else in the client to me. 

The single most annoying thing about being at a table, and this applies to cash or MTT, is the focus steal. With the old client the table would pop up but if you were typing something in the window behind you could carry on. With 2.0 it steals full focus and you just end up typing the end of your sentence for nothing. Please, please, please put it back to the old way. 

I'm disappointed to see that you can't tile 4 tables without them overlapping. I'm guessing the dimensions were chosen to suit mobile any they're nothing that can be done but it's a shame to see desktop mutli-table users punished to suit single table mobile players.

 

MTT Table

The sit out button should be above the MTT info box. I don't know anybody else but I have that box open all the time on all MTT tables. I don't want to have to close it to sit out. The font is a little small too IMO. I also think the clock is too big on all tables. Again, I expect this is for the benefit of mobile players but it's a bit much.

 

Hand replayer

I'm guessing this is a work in progress so I'm going to leave it alone just now. My only concern just now is that it only shows hands your in, not the table hands. This means if you have multiple tables open the replayer jumps between between them as you go back through the hands. I would expect it to show all the hands on a single table and not hands from multiple tables.

There we go, I think that's everything I can think of :) All the constructive criticisms are sent with love and with teh purpose of trying to make the client the best one out there so.. please don't ban me :):Lovekiss:

👍 to not even noticing the new beta update loading. I'll admit I wasn't paying attention so I don't know if anything came up to show an update happening or if it's all in the background. Nice that's it's seamless now.

New 4 colour simple deck looks great.

Would be nice to have release notes/known bugs list if possible so we're not reporting things already known about and can test fixed thigns are working ok.

We now have the approval for Romania as well. We've released 2.0 Web client for Romanian players https://www.unibet.ro/poker/poker-browser-new I don't know if we'll have time to release the desktop client for Romania before the launch on Thursday

Experience on small tables

We're aware the experience on small tables is bad on the beta client.

• • • We've changed the card deck. We didn't need a release for that change so this should be available already. When you play with a 4-color deck, you'll play with the new deck below. If don't you will play with the other standard one which needs some improvements. We'll make the new 4-color deck the default one for now until we fix the classic 2 color one.
    • We'll release added improvements on small tables. However, that needs a new build so that will be released for launch

Challenges

Challenges will reset on 1st January, at the end of the quarter, as usual. You'll now be able to follow your Challenges progression at the table but there's no other fundamental change before 1st January. On that date, we will include Banzai and Sit&Go (both HU and SH) in Challenges. , that is why the challenges widget has a drop down menu with only Hold'Em and Omaha for now (but soon 5 categories).

Please try to update your graphic card drivers. That should fix the issue. Let us know if that doesn't or if you need help. 

 

 

, thank you for the detailed feedback. I agree with most of your suggestions. Some are already on the roadmap but a lot of other suggestions may not be and make sense to me at least so we'll discuss them with the provider.

Also, since a number of people are complaining about green on green readability issues I'd like to propose changing all green felt backgrounds to a darker green. Something around RGB 29, 71, 11

We'll definitely put that up once 2.0 is out, but it might have to be early next week.  Chris (poker product manager) is going to be swamped, and David and I are going to be in Bucharest for the Unibet Open.

Kinda, but without sound. You need vcrun2013 and I think d3dx9 is also needed. Prefix needs to be set to Windows 7 and just to be safe, I also installed corefonts.

Other random PC client feedback 

• The sit out icon is rather small and not easy to notice on some player positions. The little cloud is nice but I think it should be over the avatar or more central so it's more noticeable
• I don't think the suits on the new 4 colour deck are very easy to see. A darker shade of the same colour would make them easier to see.
• When you use the 3/4bet button in MTTs it tends to make the bet XXXX.25 or XXXX.50 which seems pointless. Would be good if it rounded up or down to suit.
• In a situation where you can only call an all in for all your chips (i.e. there is no bet slider or quick bet values) the 'Fold to any bet' button is in the same space as the call button. This opens up the possibility of trying to click fold to any and hitting call by accident. 
• When you expand a MTT in the lobby it takes up half the available space. I think it could be condensed without making it cluttered so there is more room in the lobby. Enjoy my paintwork..

• When you hold down the mouse button on Fold/Call/Raise the button just goes pure white. I would have expected some sort of graphic like a pushed in button with action on it.
