GOT WHAT IT TAKES? LAST ATTEMPT

Do you still plan to post any pictures or reports from your trip to the UO Bucharest? I'm playing really well lately at the UO10s and I'm starting to smell blood in the water...😏

We're gonna win on so many levels! We're gonna win, win, win. You're gonna get so tired of winning, you're gonna say: "Mr. President please, we don't wanna win anymore, it's too much!" And I'm gonna say: "I'm sorry, we're gonna keep winning because we're gonna make America great again!"

@WuDu, actually I didn´t find any pictures on my mobil phone. I will try to find some pictures on my IPad later.

@polarbear, yeah, for sure. I am playing Heads Up and 5max SNGs on Unibet and HU on a couple of different poker sites. What about you? 😃

My main goal for the next couple of weeks is to play some 250€ Satellites for an UO London package.

I will start with the 2€ steps tomorrow, move up when I have 5 x 10€ UO tickets. Then I will play until I have one 50€ ticket and play the €50 Sat. If I win a 250€ ticket, I will play the Sunday Final Qualifier with a couple of seats guaranteed. I m quite optimistic to manage to win at least one 250€ ticket in the next 3 or 4 weeks.

If I manage to earn at least 1000€ from today until 31st January, I will go to London no matter what. If I don´t make these 1000€, it depends on whether I win a package or not.

@polarbear, why aren´t you able to play now, mate? I think Unibet is better than any other side there is, too. After two months, the software is very nice and I hadn´t a single crash in yesterday´s session. I played MTTs yesterday and added a few 5max 10€ games when I hadn´t too many tables open.

Will you not split 250 e uo ticket to let's say 5X50 e tickets ? BTW last possible qualifier tournament for uo London will be February 5th.

@Evarb, I totally missed that. Thank you for pointing out that next Sunday is the last chance, I actually thought you had more time. I didn´t play many satellites, just to lazy probably. Anyways, I already booked flights to London and apartement for 23rd to 28th February, so I will be there for sure. Maybe I will give it another try on Sunday with the Satellite, but probably I will forget to do so. 🤣 What I´d like to see are some SEAT-ONLY satellites for Unibet Open Events. That would be great for locals and gives more people the chance to qualify.

So, another MTT league started yesterday and I planned to play most of the Medium and Low events and maybe 1 or 2 High ones.

I ended up playing the 2000€ GTD Daily Deepstack (25€) and the 500€ GTD Twenty Five Bounty where I busted with KK vs AQo. The biggest 25€ event went pretty good though. I managed to reach the bubble (13 players, 12 paid) with a great stack of 70 big blinds or so. It took a lot of time until the bubble bursted. That is because all the shortstacks managed to double up a couple of times. There was one guys who had 4 or 5 big blinds and miraculously he won every flip and after the bubble he had a huge stack and he reached the final table. I had the chance to eliminate the bubbleboy with KTo on a 99K board, but the shortstack had AJo and the turn was an ace.

Long story short, I busted in 3rd place for almost 300€ with KQo preflop all in vs 33. The board ran out like this: FLOP xxx TURN Q (YEAH!!!) RIVER  3 (#neverlucky :D)

I m very happy with my play, but some things didn´t go my way. 3handed I had the shortstack almost out of there when he openshoved his remaining 15 big blinds into my big blind with K9s. I called with A8o and was ahead on flop and turn. The river was a diamond unfortunately and he made his flush. That was the same guy who doubled up with AJ against my KT on 99K on the bubble.

I played most of the medium (10€) events and had deep runs in the 250€ GTD Daily 10 (7th place for 19,40€) and the €500 GTD Evening Deepstack. I was short when we reached the bubble (13 players, 12 paid, Mincash: 20,xx€) with approx. 15-20big blinds and didn´t get any playable hands. So, I just waited for my spots. One hand after the bubble phase ended, I managed to triple up with 99 against AKo and 88. Again one hand later I won with AK vs 88 and that meant I had a nice stack of around 70bb.

The final table was reached soon and because of the very deep structure it took some time. At 00:50 I reached the Heads up and it took a lot of time. It ended 45 minutes later and what can I say, it was a crazy heads up. My opponent clearly wasn´t a heads up specialist and he did play very unconventionally. 3 handed I was down to 44k (11 big blinds) when the other two guys had 200-300k. Preflop all in with 88 vs QQ for too many blinds probably. But I managed to come back and I busted one player in 3rd. So heads up: 2nd 125€   1st 184€. So almost 60€, 6 buyins. Let´s win this, I thought. I had him a couple of times

1st: AJ vs A3 Board A3xxx -> he doubled up, now he is 3-1 chipleader

I grinded my stack back up when the following happened

2nd: He 3x opened, I 3bet shove with AKs. He makes the call with T9s (same colour as my AKs). Board is: XXX9X

Another double up for him. The blinds was pretty high already and we had both around 20-30 big blinds. I won more and more chips with some smallball.

The blinds increased again and I had a 2-1 or 3-1 lead. He had 12 big blinds left, I kept the pressure high and he was down to his last 8 big blinds. I went all in with a pair of 2s. He tanked and called with 9♥️ 8♥️ . Ok, come on... win the final flip for 1st place! Flop was QQ♥️ 3 ♥️ Man he had so many outs.. Maybe too many? Turn 6 River: Another Queen.

The low events didn´t go my way. I think I need to adjust my play a bit there. I managed to final table the €150 GTD Deepstack Turbo with around 70-75€ for 1st. I had the chip lead and could apply massive pressure because of a couple of shortstacks who had 5 or less big blinds partly. Long story short, I shipped it as well

All in all, a great day with lots of :Cash: won. Besides of the MTTs I played 10 x 10€ SNGs and made a nice profit of 42€ there.

I will play again tonight, probably the same shedule, more or less.

LEADERBOARD STANDINGS:

High: 8th

Medium: 1st

Low: 7th

Thanks @VikingsAF

To be honest I don´t like playing the full schedule and I don´t go after the league prizes. I only played the first day but I don´t enjoy "having to play" just to accumulate enough points etc.

I withdrew most of the money and bought myself a great mixer (a Vitamix, if anyone is in mixers) and try to produce some great stuff with this badboy.

Also, I thought about getting into the UK tour satellites today. And boom, this is what just happened :o :Inlove:

I will try to win another 500€ Seat and if I manage to do so I will change it into cash for sure.

I don´t know what events are planned yet, but I think I will get into it in the next few days and make some travel arrangements already. :-)

I love the excitement one experience when you win a satellite to a (even if it is small) live event.

Congratulations! I always wondered whether or not those UK tour tickets cover the travel/hotel costs for people coming from Germany. I can see that working out with an UO package but with just 500 Euro???

I just googled Vitamix, holy moly :scared: those ones cost as much as a laptop, are you planning to open up a smoothie bar or what?

Thank you @WuDu!

The buyin for the tournament is around 250€, depending on the exchange rate Unibet is gonna use.

So you get around 240-260€ :cash: . If you stay two nights with 70€ a night, you still got 100-120€ for back and return flight (or train).

It is a small package - you are right - but you can totally do it if you don´t expect staying in 5-star hotels and flying business class. 😉

If you want I can calculate all the expenses after the trip and we´ll see if it was enough :D

About the Vitamix: Yeah, it is a very expensive gadget, but I will use it for years and years. It s the best blender in the world and it will pay off quickly as I will eat more and more heathly food by simply using it. It took a decent chunck of my bankroll though :Puking:

Thank you so much, @MathrimC! I hope I didn´t bust you :S

I only played it because of the 200€ overlay (it was 400€ overlay when I registered though) and I registered the very last second possible.

Maybe I will player another satellite tomorrow evening, will see about that. Brighton is the first stop? Thats nice, never been there. Looking forward to meet you :)

Sure, calculate it, this is something that would really interest me. Currently I'm sitting at 620 Euro in my Unibet Open bankroll (starting from a single 4 Euro ticket I won without taking any "shots"), which means at around 800 Euro I have to think about playing the 50 Euro qualifiers which only run once a day. That means I could think about playing other qualifiers and the UK tour looks interesting. I'm trying to build up a Sunday Entitled bankroll right now, but this will take a while.

I have never used a mixer in my whole life. Just tell your mother to cut up some melon or pomelo for you or make some fruit salad and put it in the fridge :Cheeky:...or maybe you can enlighten me on the pros of a vitamix.

I've traveled to the UK Tour twice from Belgium. For Glasgow, I had a flight to and from Edinburgh for €50, a bus from Edinburgh to Glasgow for around €10 and stayed in the Ibis budget hotel right next to the casino for €215.

For Manchester, I had a flight for €175 (because I was quite late with my booking) and stayed in a hostel for €65.

It makes a lot of difference if you have a low-cost airline in your area that flies (close to) the city of the tournament and if you book well in advance.

@WuDu, 620€ balance is actually quite impressive, even more when you consider the fact that you started with a free ticket If I remember correctly. The next UO is in Copenhagen in the end of May (25-28 or something like that). I think the 50€ sats aren´t that difficult since there is almost a 1 of 5 chance to get a ticket (5x50=250; minus rake though).

A mixer or blender like the Vitamix is quite impressive. It´s got 2 PS (2 "horsepower", do you use that term in english?) and crushes everthing food related in a smooth-like liquid. Eating fruit never been a problem for me since I like almost all kind of fruit. The really healthy stuff are great leavy vegatables such as spinach, kale, etc. though. But to eat them pure isn´t very appealing to me. That´s where the Vitamix helps. You simply put some spinach and some different kind of fruits in there and blend for 30 seconds. And voila, you got yourself a healthy Green smoothie. 😆

You can also do your own ice cream in 1-2 minutes. The best thing is that you don´t have any big chunks, it s really smooth. The possibilities are endless. :inlove:

Congrats on the package @GotWhatItTakes! /html/images/emoticons/Asset1.png

Thank you @Magicadil, I hope to see you there as well! When are you planing to travel through Europe? Maybe you can visit the UK and pay the UK tour a visit 😏

@MathrimC, you are absolutly right. Sometimes the bus/taxi transfer from the airport to the city is even more expensive than the flight itself. Quite hilarious if you ask me. The good thing is that the airport is just 15 minutes (by car) away from my home and Ryanair and Eurowings have put up quite a flight schedule from and to Cologne.

Hi @monopoi! Nice to see some more germans in here. Where are you from? Don´t worry, I will still be there so that you can kick some _______ in Nottingham.

Maybe you can fly to a city with a bigger airport nearby and take a train to Brighton then? 😃

In Belgium we can take the Eurostar train to London and a train there to Brighton. But it's not that cheap and might cost me between 150 and 200 euro. But I have no problem sleeping in a hostel, so I might make it with my travel money again 😃

@monopoi, actually the UK tour events aren´t big festivals. I think, there is day 1A + day 1B + day 2 (final day).

In Glasgow there was a small side event run by the local casino (I think 44 GBP buyin). But you can play two bullets per starting day (in case you busted before the end of the day). Furthermore, Unibet organised a small community event in Glasgow but I didn´t make it to play it, because my hotel was quite a walk away from the casino and after two long days before I felt more like relaxing a bit. Bad decision in retroperspective though :(

@MathrimC, I thought about taking the train, but it takes sooo long, while the flight itself only takes 1hour 10minutes. It´s hard to sit in a train for 8+ hours with no chance of getting out of there...

@MathrimC

Thanks for the info. Pretty much what I thought myself. 👍

@GotWhatItTakes

Honestly, I don't expect the 50s to be that different either. Personally I prefer to play in larger qualifiers since it gives you the opportunity to fly under the radar for most of the time. Then you only need to double up once or twice and you'll be in striking distance. In case I beat the 50s, then it practically leads to shot-taking at the 250s in case I like the location of the next UOs (not really interested in London, Copenhagen and the like).

UO Prypjat! Come on Unibet guys, you can do it!

Seriously, one other guy in that thread mentioned Dubrovnik! That would be a great destination in the summer! Apart from that, I would be interested in big cities in Eastern Europe or the Baltic States. Cities, you normally wouldn't travel to.

Have you thought about investing 30-40 Euros in those UO 2 Euro games and starting to grind up the UO qualifiers yourself?

UO Prypjat  - 🤣 I guess there won´t be many locals...

Dubrovnik sounds nice for sure, Croatia is a very nice place.. I ve been there a few years ago, lots of great memories.

Baltic States: That would be insanely great. Never been to Estland, Lithuania etc. I ve heard quite some nice stories about several baltic states.

I m still dreaming about some kind of very exotic destination like a stop in America (USA, south, whatever), Canada or even Asia. But I think that´s not gonna happen with Unibet Open, since it is more of a European Tour. Hope for St Marteen being one of the final stops is still up, though. :)

Honestly, I don´t wanna start grinding the 2€ games. If I m going to grind them, I would start with a 2€, move up when I have 1 *10€ ticket and try to win a 50€ ticket. If I do so, I would exchange the 50€ into 5x10€ and go from there. I don´t know about Copenhagen yet, but there is 3,5 months of time to get one 2000€ package. If I take it somewhat more seriously and grind some satellites every day, chances might be quite high to win a package.
