GOT WHAT IT TAKES? LAST ATTEMPT

I change my alias 2-3 times a day and I also play with different ones at the same time. If I have a funny one, I keep it around a little longer...

Of course, I won šŸ˜, I trapped you once with KK, where you pushed with A3o preflop and from then, your soul was crushed. No, just kidding, I also lucked out against you when I pushed with 86o and you called preflop with a better hand when you were ahead.

My Unibet bankroll stands at 138 now, do you play the UNiBET open 10 Euro satellites?

We're gonna win on so many levels! We're gonna win, win, win. You're gonna get so tired of winning, you're gonna say: "Mr. President please, we don't wanna win anymore, it's too much!" And I'm gonna say: "I'm sorry, we're gonna keep winning because we're gonna make America great again!"

ThatĀ“s probably a very prudent thing to do. I might do it similar in the future, I donĀ“t know it yet though.

Ā

Haha, congrats.Ā šŸ¤£ My game is way too vulnerable against traps, I need to work on that. I experienced it often goes extremly wild in the heads up of a 5man SNG. Even with a comfortable chiplead you can never lean back until it is won.Ā One double up and the shorter stack is back in the game or even in the lead.

My Unibet bankroll stands at 138 now, do you play the UNiBET open 10 Euro satellites?

That isĀ your Unibet Open tickets-bankroll only? Really impressive. Right now, I m not playing the Unibet Open satellites. But I think I will play a ton of them in November until I win a package. From what bankrollĀ will you play 25ā‚¬SNGs? Did you ever play a Unibet event?

Ā

My goal for the next weeks is to make enough money to buy a new chair for my desk.

Does anybody have any experience with this one?Ā

I added a picture below. Price is 199ā‚¬ currently, ratingsĀ are very good (well most of them)Ā

Nice chair, commander! But isn't a chair something you rather buy in person? It's cool if it's easy on the eyes, however if your butt and back don't like it, you're in trouble...for instance I recently switched from Mach 3 to the Hydro 5 and now I will switch back, because I butcher my face on the daily shaving with a Hydro 5.

You play aggressively, I guess being trapped comes with the territory, as long as you win like you did so far, you're fine...

Yes, those 136 Euro now are my Unibet Open tickets. Once I hit 200-250 I plan to play the 10 Euro satellites. I've never played a live event, maybe I can play myself into one via those tickets, would be a nice poker story going from a free 4 Euro ticket to a live event. Funny thing is, I've never even set foot in a casino before, the only time I played live were kitchen games with friends...Ā

I plan to take a shot at the SNG25s once I have 50-60 buy-ins. That means 1250-1500 Euro in cash here at Unibet. That means I'll have enough money to take a look at that level and see whether or not I can play there as well...

Thoroughly enjoying your blog thus far! Keep it up!

And your results are insane at the moment! We've clashed chips a few times at the 10sng's and it's always a good fight!

I started grinding up from the 4 sng's too, bankroll covers 40 buyin's now (but only just) and it took me at least twice as long as it took you (though you're definitely putting in more volume than me.

Hope your streak continues (unless you're against SierraB :P)

ItĀ“s definitely an eye catcher. Currently I m trying to locate a store where I can try this very chair. Sitting comfort is the most important feature for sure, longevity is important as well. I want a chair for the the long term, not something you have to replace after a few months because it s damaged and it is impossible to sit on.Ā šŸ¤£ Haha, the fight between Gilette and Wilkinson is omnipresent.

Yeah probably, but since people literally love limp-trapping on Unibet, I need to be cautious against certain players. The problem while 6tabling is that it can be challengingĀ to keep everything in mind. Especially, if you have to play 2 heads up + 2 bubbles simultaneously.

I played my first real live tournament in Glasgow a few weeks ago. It was great fun, but in the beginning I was a little nervous. It is no comparison to playing online, people really see you and try to readĀ your soul.Ā :wow: Probably, I gave away a lot of tells. It didnĀ“t help that I was seated on a table with Niall Farrell (won EPT12 Malta in October 2015) for the greater part of day 1. At least I managed to bust him in a classic race with QQ vs his AKs..Ā šŸ†’ I really have to read some books about live tells and how to not give anything away.

I played a couple of SNG25s a while back without any proper bankrollmanagement :dissatisfied: They were nice to play. I hope I can play them soon as well, and establish myself.

Thanks for your kind wordsĀ @SierraPhoenix. Great, that you are enjoying the blog.Ā šŸ˜ƒ Ā I definitely ran very good in the last 9 days (I started the journey on 12th October), but I really hope I can just skip any incoming downswing and just continue to built a roll. I wish you good luck atĀ all the tables where I donĀ“t sit.Ā šŸ‘¼Ā šŸ¤£

Bankroll is over 800 now. I manged to finish a PLO ticket (4ā‚¬ started with, after 300ish flops = approx. 18ā‚¬), what is very nice because PLO isnĀ“t really my strongest game. šŸ˜€ I got a 10ā‚¬ PLO and a 10ā‚¬ Saturday Stack Qualifier ticket after finishing 3/4 of the Moving on Up promo. I ll try to run the Saturday stack ticket up to the final MTT. Since it is a 100ā‚¬ buyin tourney the payouts will be huge. Any finish ITM would secure the chair, I guess.Ā šŸ˜Ā

ThanksĀ ļ»æ! That is actually a very good question. Because there is no tracking software allowed (what I really like, donĀ“t get me wrong), I can only guess.

Depending on how long the SNGs take (whether I bust early or reach ITM) probably 3-4 hours a day.Ā

It s like some kind of science.Ā šŸ¤£ There are so many aspects to consider when you are buying a new chair. I think it is crucial for a poker player to have a decent chair.

Just imagine you start a session on an old, unconfortable chair that you execrate. You are already tilting before you even played one single hand.Ā šŸ˜ Ā

Hey,

here is another update. Thanks for your postĀ ļ»æ! Thanks to you I remembered that I owe you guys a picture of my grinding set up.Ā

Please try to imagine the chair I uploaded a picture of a few days ago, instead of the orange chair that you can see in the picture.Ā :happyshy:

Next to this very desk, I have another desk with a laptop on it and different papers, pens etc. I am really happy with the setup, only thing missing is a decent chair.

Today I only played one tournament so far because I didnĀ“t have a lot of time. It was a 10ā‚¬ turbo bounty MTT which I thought would be over fast. But I went very deep and in the end I won it. I won most of the final tables' bounties, so I won approx. 100ā‚¬ in total (bounties + prizepool). I really liked the structure of the tourney, had a top3 stack very early and never looked back. The final table was nice to play aswell, had a comfortable chiplead and because there was a couple of shortstacks the bigger stack was very passive and waited for an oppurtunity to climb in the payouts.

Bankroll is over 900ā‚¬ now.Ā :Happy:Ā

I have a 10ā‚¬ Saturday Stack Satellite ticket ready, I will update if I manage to qualify for the finalĀ event.Ā :Peace:

Holy moly, what a poverty chair! Now I know why you want to buy a new one. Did you steal that one directly out of art class at school?

If you stay on a heater like that, why dont you wait a little before byuing a chair and move up to SNG25? Much easier to withdraw funds and keep on playing without risking to go broke.

We're gonna win on so many levels! We're gonna win, win, win. You're gonna get so tired of winning, you're gonna say: "Mr. President please, we don't wanna win anymore, it's too much!" And I'm gonna say: "I'm sorry, we're gonna keep winning because we're gonna make America great again!"

šŸ¤£Ā šŸ¤£ Poverty chair, that s the perfect name for my chair.Ā

TheĀ plan is to buy the chair only if I manage to cash in either the Saturday Stack or the Sunday Entitled MTT. A mincash is probably worth at least 200ā‚¬, so that would pay for the chair. At the moment I donĀ“t want to withdraw more than 1/5 of my bankroll because of the reasons you just mentioned. As soon as I reach 1000ā‚¬ I will mix in some 25ā‚¬SNGs. If they go well, I might be able to play them more and more regularly.

Unfortunately I busted the 10ā‚¬ satellite to the Saturday Stack. I had a nice 2000 chips stack (4 x starting stack) when UTG 3xopenraised. UTG was kind of fishy and I 3bet shoved around 15bb. He had maybe 100 chips more than me. I had AJ, we was close to the first bubble (10ā‚¬ MTT Ticket for 4-8th place). When he calls, IĀ“m only behind against AA,KK,QQ,JJ. I donĀ“t know if he would call AK or AQ, AK maybe. AQ probably not. He ended up calling with KQo. Flop was xxxQx what is unfortunate, but in the long term we are printing money I guess. We would have had a nice stack of >4k chips what would nearly secure a seat in the 100ā‚¬ MTT. I ll give it another shot in the last chance sat now, lets get there!Ā :happyshy:

Good way to start the day! :-)

Bankroll is now 3ā‚¬ shy of 1000ā‚¬. I m pretty amazed how quickly it went to reach this number, when I started with only 200ā‚¬.

I hope the blog doesnĀ“t get boring for anybody who is takingĀ part in the conversation or who is just reading silently.

If you guys (Question for english natives: can you say "guys" and mean man and women both together?Ā :happyshy:) have any suggestions about things I shall post whatsoever (poker related or not), please leave a comment. I m thankful for every suggestion.Ā Ā šŸ˜ƒ

Ā

Tonight, I will play a couple of sats for the sunday MTT (5ā‚¬ and 10ā‚¬ ones) and I will play the 1000ā‚¬ added tourney for sure.

See y'all at the tablesĀ :peace:

ļ»æ I say 'guys' even when referring to a group that's entirely women. Not sure how I adapted that but it comes out without even thinking about it. It's definitely socially acceptable here in Canada.

That's a really nice chair you're aiming for. Just don't get comfy for too long and play more than you anticipated. šŸ¤£

I've never sat on a chair while playing poker (Except live). Always either sitting on my bed or near the beach (Which is impossible nowadays because always raining)

I debate
Should I smile like everything's good and pretend that life is great
Or should I let the world see the real me and not hide this pain
I tried to be like the rest of y'all, sorry I just can't
I'ma probably die this way

Hey and thanksĀ ļ»æ!Ā

I see the chair as some kind of positive reinforcement to start grinding and not be lazy.

I really envy you for living in such a nice country. Canada seems such a wonderful place with great people. One day I m gonna do a (at least 1 month) roundtrip through Canada. The problem is there are so many incredible places, would be hard to choose some over others.Ā

How far away from the beach do you live?Ā :inlove:

ļ»æ I live like 20 minutes away from the beach. It's a very peaceful place with thousands of tourists. The police station is right there as well so crime is almost non existent

The only problem with grinding long hours there is no place to plug in charger (Unless you go into a coffee shop) so eventually laptop/tablet will die :wow:.

ļ»æ, that sounds beautiful. A change of scenery from your desk/room/flat/house to the beach must be very nice. For the future, I plan to change my gaming environment occasionally as well.Ā

Besides, how is the situation with online poker in Canada? Do pros have to pay taxes on winnings?Ā

Once you said there wereĀ many pros moving to British Columbia. Is it easy to live longterm in Canada or to get a citizenship?

You could start with playing on laptop, when it dies, you change to tablet and in the case of the tablet dying as well your phone might be the lastĀ possibility (as soon as UnibetĀ“s staff works out a way to play on smartphone).Ā šŸ¤£
