I wouldn't stress about it too much at this point. I'm fine with everything as long as the rules are the same for all and they are known. No pressures, but much appreciation for all the work people involved in this have done, this is all for fun mostly and Unibet is appreciated for providing some prizes for it. :)

 

I just inquiried mostly because the scoring might change some emphasis on the players you pick if assists are worth more than goals for some. The live updates are so much more fun than any other system I've used anyways so it really doesn't matter for me, just want to know how it's going to be. :]

@DepchZ I would not say anything if the goal value was the same for all players, but it is not, different cost for different players. The system deceived me. Getting a yellow card is more than a goal, it's amazing. Just all the competition is to guess the starting lineup and the number of yellow cards in the match. 25 - 20 - 18 points soon will be 1 point

@DepchZ +500 draft / The people who put on those players who win more points for the goal will win. Let's say 10 guys predicted 10 players who scored a goal, and in the end will win the one who was randomly added to 5 points more. This is very much. From 3 places I was separated by 1 point on the first day.

So, back after some time off from this full-time job that is to try and keep the fantasy running :D just want to assure everyone that I'm certainly the one who's the least satisfied :)

Well, they're not going to reply during the weekend, so the solution I've decided to go with is to edit all the scoring categories, so that the current goal setup makes more sense. Below an overview:

Just want to add that the change does apply to the live € 500 round 1 contest, else I wouldn't have changed it now - it'd have been too big an advantage to have had many players in action already.

@WuDu, for the penalties scored I've ended up giving -4 points for that particular action, so a striker will get 14 points, midfielder 16 points and defender 21 points, for a penalty scored.

Actually that's a smart idea. 👍

On a side note, I know it's too late now, but your socialistic approach of artificially enhancing the value of defenders and midfielders by giving them more points per goal was a really bad idea. Just let the market (we fantasy players) decide who to buy, especially since you're determining the formation anyway.

Also what about the result of the Day 2 pick-em game? There are some people in 2nd place with just 60 points that don't belong there.

@WuDu, I've reported the tie breaker issue. Don't expect a reply before Monday, so the Pick'Em is a little broken till then :(

Goals by defenders giving more points is absolutely great and how it should have been from the beginning - or I should have been made aware it was like that from the beginning. Defenders give too few points even as it is now. There should have been twice as many scoring categories, but that'll have to wait for next time :)

But is it wise/fair to change points now if they affect round 1 500 players too?. I mean i picked my team with old points in mind and this totally chances the game...

@Livertool, the points are almost the same as before, with the obvious difference that different positions give different points for goals. All other categories have just been divided with 2 :)

The alternative was to have ❤️♥️❤️ed daily drafts both today and tomorrow, and then I think this solution is better :)

That i excactly what i mean but it is fine if it´s easier this way for you.

@Livertool, but without the change, the difference is huge - goals giving 18 points instead of 45. With the change, the difference is equally big, but if you look at how it was advertised it should be - the info you based your team upon - the difference is small.

Without the change, everyone will have based their teams on something very wrong. With the change, the difference is small :)

Yeah, the change made actually correlates with the original rules more now than how it was. We have no clue would they have even had the time to fix the system by end of round 1 as originally intended. This is indeed a great fix.

 

ps. I also actually like the idea that defender goals are worth more than forwards, not with a huge difference, but little. My common sense was against the assists being worth more / equal to goals.

Alright, let me summarize:

- It was supposed to be 45 points for a goal, no matter the position of the player. This didn't work the first day, as it gave 18 for a strike, 20 for midfielder and 25 for defender. I reported the issue and they thought they had implemented a fix for day two, so that a goal would give 45 points

- The "fix" didn't work, and on day two, a goal still gave 18/20/25 points - at the same time an assist would give 25, just playing 60 minutes 25 as well etc.

- Obviously a huge imbalance this way, and it's very far from how the point system was advertised when people put together their teams.

- The provider doesn't reply to messages during the weekend, and I honestly don't have much faith in them fixing this on Monday either, so I decided to redo every single point category, so that it's more like how it was supposed to be. As a goal should give 45 points, but instead gave 18/20/25, I decided to more or less divide all point categories by two. This way the points are very similar to how it was originally supposed to be - everything just gives half as many points.

- In addition to fixing the above, I also fixed the penalty points. Apparently a player both got points for scoring a goal AND scoring a penalty, so a penalty was much more valuable than an ordinary goal - it should obviously be the other way around. Instead of giving points for a penalty, I'm not subtracting 4 points, so that it e.g. gives 14 points if a striker scores on a penalty :)

@Merenitsu, can't add any categories - we're relying on an automated feed, and the categories are predefined. Appreciate the feedback, but the differences are too big compared to what everyone based their teams on.
