  1. @P0kerM0nk @RaulonY thank you guys! @RaulonY I play Double or Nothing Turbo NLHE: 8 players, 1500 starting chips, 5 minutes levels. The rake on the 1$ level is 7%. My idea is to attack a top 8 finish in a weekly (Monday-Friday) micro leaderboard. Some rakeback will also get me some money. The playerpool is ok: there are at least 2 clueless players, some regs, but mostly bad regs, who still take lots of unnecessery risks. I read Dara's book Poker Satellite Strategy twice now, and DoNs are just a final table of a satellite and are a great way to train your bubble play, so I find them very useful.
  2. As you can guess by the topic I will challenge myself. In this post I will explain the challenge. Goals The main one is VOLUME. I will try to play every single day, 100 games Monday-Friday and 100 more at the weekends. Overall I want to play 1000 games. For some of you this may sound not that much, but for me it is a huge number (I should point out once again, that I have a regular day job, 40 hours per week in the office + some time spent on the way and lunch breaks). I played 920 games (447 SNGs, 144 DoNs,204 satellites, 125 MTTs) in the past 9 months (since I record my results). So I want to play more games for a month than I played for the past 9 months. How am I going to achieve this? The following points should make it clearer, how am I going to “win” more time: No cash games: During the previous months I also played cash games. In this challenge there will be none of these. All the hours (3-4 per week) spent on the cash game tables will be invested in other formats.Multi-table: Until May this year I played almost exclusively 1, sometimes 2 tables at the same time. Then I started to make SNG and DoNs sessions, while 3- or 4-tabling. During the challenge I will try to play at least 4 tables.More time spent on the tables: One of the biggest truths in poker is, that “you make money by playing poker, not talking about it!”. As much as I love hanging in here in the community, reading your blogs, writing my own posts, this will not be the case during the challenge. This will win me some extra hours. I will also cut off a lot of my other hobbies (watching TV shows, films, football games). No studying poker during this challenge as well. Games The main focus will be on the 5-man SNGs and DoNs. UO and UKTP satellites will also have their impact, some MTTs as well. Something like 700 SNGs/DoNs, 200 satellites and 100 MTTs. These are just rough numbers, I will not get too attached to them. Cash games and HexaPros are not part of this challenge. Results As I said the main goal is volume. This is the thing that I can control. I will not set some goal like X € wanted at the end of the challenge. However I will keep track of my results. My starting stats are the following: SNG bankroll: 202,17€Cash game bankroll: (not part of the challenge) 58,32€Satellite bankroll: 305€ in ticketsMTT bankroll: 113,86€Bonus Points: 8470Challenge Points: 2014DoNs/other poker room bankroll: 33,52$It will be interesting to see how this stats will look in 31 days. Rules The challenge starts today at 17:00 CEST and ends on 06.09.2020. I need to respect my bankroll management. I have to try to play my A game every single time I sit on a table. This can be a small issue, as I am not used to play that much and I will get tired more often. I will use the following buy-in limits: SNG ≤ 4€MTT ≤ 2€UO Satellites ≤ 25€UK satellites: no limitDoNs ≤ 5$Conclusion Wish me good luck guys! I will definitely need some. See you at the tables and here in 31 days. Hopefully I will report some good news!
  3. SNG Starting bankroll: 50 €; bankroll after week 30: 185,75 €; bankroll after week 31: 202,17 € +5x4€ tickets 7x4€ SNG game (2 wins, twice runner-up), profit: 10 €. 1x2€ SNGs and I won it, Profit: 4,33 €. On the 1€ level I played 9 games (3 wins, 1 runner-up; total profit 2,09 €). I have now 50 buy-ins as cash money in my SNG bankroll (the 3 losses at 4€ level were the last three SNGs, that I played this week), so I can now “legally” play the 4€ SNG level. I also bought 5x4€ SNG tickets to boost my bankroll. From what I’ve read on different sources “the following chart shows the statistical likelihood of a given sample of SNGs being a true indication of your ROI, these numbers are known as 'confidence intervals' as they show how confident we can be about each sample being a 'true' reflection.” 100 games: ~23% 300 games: ~40% 1000 games: ~66% 2000 games: ~82%My goal will be to play as much as possible on the 4€ SNG level on Unibet until the end of the year. Let’s see where I am going to land then. Of course I will have to move down if my bankroll goes back to 160€. No moving up to the 10€ SNG level this year though! Cash games Starting bankroll: 100 €; bankroll after week 30: 58,32 €; bankroll after week 31: 58,32 € No cash games this week. Satellites I played just 2x4€ UO satellites (used two tickets in both of them, because I did a rebuy). 1x25€ UO ticket won. My next goal is to collect 20x25€ UO tickets. 1x10€ UO ticket exchanged to 5x2€ UO tickets. 2x2€ UO satellites played, no cashes. UO Ticket Bankroll: A month ago I won a 1€ Unibet UK Tour ticket from a flip tournament. Using this one I won a 5€ ticket, then exchanged it and so on. I have a small Unibet UK Tour bankroll now. I will have a more aggressive approach here, then with the UO satellites. I want to qualify for one of the two remaining UK Tour events this year. Unibet UK Tour Bankroll: MTT (bankroll 113,86 €) I won 1€ from the Betting Freeroll on Monday. I lost a huge three way pot (all in preflop, QQ for me, K9 and AQ, A on the flop) close before the bubble. I then folded disciplined into the money, nursing my 5 BB stack. In the monthly freerolls I busted early on in the 1000€ tournament and finished 95/808 for 7,74 € prize in the 3000€ one. I was really card dead in this one, just one premium hand for more than 2,5 hours. The premium hand was QQ and got me a triple up shortly before the bubble. The bustout was A5<KT, K on the river…
  4. Evaluation of monthly goals: July 2020 Satellite goal: play 8xUO 4€ buy-in and 6xUO 2€-buy-in satellites. PARTLY COMPLETED6xUO 4€ buy-in and just 4xUO 2€-buy-in satellites played.SNG challenge: play at least 100 SNGs COMPLETED124x5-man-SNGs played : )Complete all parts of the July missions COMPLETEDStudy goal: Start reading Collin Moshman’s “Sit ‘n Go Strategy” and take notes UNCOMPLETED I will not set any new monthly missions for August 2020. Check my blog on 07.08.2020 to find out the reason!
  5. 10€ HexaTicket for Part 5... I guess I am not gonna complete missions this month.
  6. Nice discipline showed sofar! Keep it that way and the results will come :cash:
  7. SNG Starting bankroll: 50 €; bankroll after week 29: 171,74 €; bankroll after week 30: 185,75 € 5x4€ SNG game (3 wins, twice bubble boy), profit: 18,01€. No 2€ SNGs. On the 1€ level I played 23 games (4 wins, 4 other cashes, total loss 4 €). Despite the small loss on this level, I am very satisfied with my play. I ran in a lot of situation into horrible spots, but this is part of the game, I accept it and I will try to not moan about it. Cash games Starting bankroll: 100 €; bankroll after week 29: 58,32 €; bankroll after week 30: 58,32 € No cash games this week. Satellites Last week I was the bubble boy in a 4€ UO satellite, this week I finished on the right side in a 2€ UO satellite (6/28, 6x10€ tickets). The way that I managed to survive in one situation is worth mentioning. There was one big stack on my right, who limped almost every single pot in the middle stage of the tournament. I shoved my 10 BBs stack on him 3 or 4 of times and he folded. The exact same thing happened with me holding 6s6d and this time he called with Qh4h (what was he folding the previous times xD??). Qd8h2s on the flop, Th on the turn and I was down to one single out. Miracles happen sometimes, let’s remember this for the next time, when I am going to be on the other side. UO Ticket Bankroll: MTT (bankroll 102,14 €) No cashes in any MTTs this week. Double or Nothing (bankroll 32,08$) 37 more played since the last update on this topic. Overall 138 played, 78 times ITM (56,5%).
  8. The rake is 5%, but for the SNGs there are minor and major challenges. When you complete one of them you get challenge points. It is not like HexaPro or MTT, where you get challenge points direct with your buy-in.
  9. SNG Starting bankroll: 50 €; bankroll after week 28: 157,64 €; bankroll after week 29: 171,74 € 3x4€ SNG games (4/5, 2/5 and 1/5; profit: 7€) and no 2€ SNG games this week. On the 1€ level I played 23 games (8 wins, 3 other cashes, total profit 7,10 €). Cash games Starting bankroll: 100 €; bankroll after week 28: 52,03 €; bankroll after week 29: 58,32 € Part 4 and 5 of the monthly missions required also cash game play. A little profit here. Satellites Finishing bubble boy in a satellite is always painful. I made a small mistake, no need to say more here. MTT (bankroll 108,49 €) On Monday (13.07.2020) I played once again the Betting Freeroll. There was one maniac on my table who shoved any two. He managed to knock out three players and build a huge stack. I waited my monster hand and called him with AKs. A little sweat there, but I managed to hold. The maniac stopped shoving any two preflop, but still raised every hand. I waited for another sweet spot and managed to value bet him huge on all three streets with my nut flush. I was in the top 10 with 150 left and then lost a big pot after getting the money in good on the turn 70 to 30%, but the river completed the straight for my opponent. With my shortstack I showed discipline and cashed for 1,06 € (55th out of 400). It’s a small amount, but I need to respect every single cash, every single cent and play every single tournament with the right mindset. I had a deep run once again in the 100€ Multiverse, but I finished 2nd. Sadly because in the HU there was a point, when I had 30 BBs and the opponent 10 BBs. There was an all in preflop AK for me, KT for him and he hit his T… I got disappointed at this moment, because the guy always dominated me on showdowns, always with some kind of monster hand preflop, when I had a decent hand. He survived three times an all in against me before the HU... 29,51€ for my second place. Couple more tournaments, but no more cashes.
  10. SNG: Starting bankroll: 50 €; bankroll after week 27: 141,47 €; bankroll after week 28: 157,64 € I played once again a mix of 1€, 2€ and 4€ SNG games this week. On the 4€ level 2 wins out of 3 (profit 13,34€). On the 2€ level I played 2 games (no cashes) and on the 1€ level 28 played (7 wins, 8 other cashes, total profit 6,83 €). Another step to the 4€ SNG level! Cash games: Starting bankroll: 100 €; bankroll after week 27: 57,30 €; bankroll after week 28: 52,03 € 4 suited cards in PLO was a hard one to complete. A little loss here, let’s hope to turn that 2€ HexaPro ticket into money. Part 4 required also cash game play. Satellites: On the 4€-level I played just 1 tournament: 4x25€ tickets, 6x4€ tickets and 0,08 for 11th place were the prices. When we were down to 15, I had a small stack (not too short, but nowhere near to the needed stack for a 25€ ticket). So I decided to play it safe, secure my buy-in back and then look for a spot to double up. Well the double up didn’t happen, but I got my ticket back. UO Ticket bankroll: MTT (bankroll 93,87 €): Well after moaning last week, that I never cash in a monthly freeroll, I cashed in both of them last Sunday. I was the chip leader in both of them for some periods. Especially in the 3000€ guaranteed I was long time at the top. When we were down to three tables everyone was kind of short because of the fast structure (10-15 BBs for the chip leaders). I was 7th at this point and played my AQo aggressively (well most hands were allins preflop). Sadly I was up against AKs and lost this hand. It was going to make me chip leader once again with some decent stack (maybe enough for final table). I busted in 16/903 place for 21,03€. Nice deep run, but there were more than 400€ for the winner, so I am not very happy. On Thursday I played the Betting Freeroll and it was played like a freeroll indeed. My AQ got cracked by A8 and it was game over for me pretty fast. A couple more tournaments played, but nothing spectacular to report.
  11. @nightshopper first of all good luck in your challenge! I started my blog in the end of last year and it really helped me a lot to stay discipled and respect my bankroll management. The last one is one of the most important things in poker, not only it keeps your bankroll safe, but it also helps a lot with the tilt topic. For me it is very hard to get tilted, when I get some bad beat, which costs me 1-2% of my bankroll instead of 10-20% for example. Show discipline and patience and the results will come in the long run!
  12. 1,5x games are just bingo for me. You don't have a chance of playing a hand postflop without risking your whole stack most of the time. I don't know why you do this challenge. Good luck though, I hope you hit some juicy multiplier and win it!
  13. This is my oppion on the hands: Hand 1: nothing to do. I will always call an all in with KK preflop in a cash game. Hand 2: I would fold preflop. QTo is not in my preflop calling range. I would also fold the river: the flush and the straight got there, on NL4 shove on the river is just alarm for the nuts/second nuts/very strong hand. Hand 3: I would not fold on the flop and of course would call on the turn.
  14. Hello @GR1ZZL3R . I don't know the exact situation (stack sizes) and the player tendencies. But it is the stone cold bubble. Foldmehearty covers you and he is in middle position. I tried to quickly find this particular scenario in Dara's book, because I know you've read it. On page 34, second table ("Middle Position Shoving Ranges (Satellite with Six Seats)") it is a similar situation. It is not the stone cold bubble, so I actually believe that at the stone cold bubble your calling range should be even tighter. You are the button and in the table it is written, that you should only call with TT+. It is specifically written, that even the small blind cannot call with AKs, and you are calling with AKo here. I am just trying to help here! Maybe Foldmehearty was a maniac and shoving light, I don't know that. Good luck next time!
  15. This one took a while (like more than 8 months :D)
  16. Thanks @FreedoM for sharing! And thank you Unibet for the SNGs in Part 1 and Part 5 as well.
  17. No problem @MadAdo . If the MSF are the monthly freerolls, than yes. I cashed in both of them. 95/1535 for 2,10 Euro and 16/903 for 20,19 Euro. I was chip leader in both of them for some periods, but it wasn't meant to be. You can check my poker blog, on Sunday in my weekly results update I will write something more about these tournaments.
  18. @LeVsKaRa thank you mate, I spotted some mental war was going on (or something like that) ... you bluffed me there :D
  19. Hey @MadAdo . I was on your right at the 3000 € monthly freeroll, sadly I forgot to change my alias before that. I was LittleBride or something like that xD and saw your bustout hand with the pocket Ladies... Brutal thing... Good luck next time and run good!
  20. SNG: Starting bankroll: 50 €; bankroll after week 26: 137,73 €; bankroll after week 27: 141,47 € I used my 5€ HexaPro ticket from June missions Part 5 and won 7,50€. I played two more HexaPros (1€ buy-in) for Part 2 of July missions. Won 1,50€ from the first one and finished second in the other one (5x). For Part 3 I played a 5 more, three wins (1,5x). Total profit: 6,50€ I played a mix of 1€, 2€ and 4€ SNG games this week. On the 4€ level it was just one shot and I finished second. On the 2€ level I played 8 games (2 wins, 2 other cashes) and on the 1€ level 16 played (1 win, 3 other cashes). Overall a small profit and the SNG bankroll is going in the right direction. One tiny step closer to the 4€ SNG level. Cash games: Starting bankroll: 100 €; bankroll after week 26: 59,87 €; bankroll after week 27: 57,30 € 10 flops seen in NLHE: +1,06€ ; 10 flops seen in PLO: -3,63€ Satellites: On the 4€-level I played 2 more tournaments. There was a small overlay in the first one. I won 3-4 medium pots and had an average final table stack. When we were down to 7 (4 tickets guaranteed) all of us had similar stacks (around 15 BBs) and it was shove/fold modus. None funny players, everyone had a decent understanding how to play a satellite in this stage. So it was mostly up to the cards. My shove (99) was snapcalled by the next player to act and I knew I was in a bad spot. Folded around and the caller showed QQ and covered me by 2-3 BBs. 9 on the turn saved me and made me the chip leader. One more ticket won shortly after. In the next one I made some stupid mistakes. Sadly, because I build a nice stack after flopping the nut flush and one guy bet all three streets with his K high flush. I raised him on the river and he snap called only to see the nuts. Good opportunity wasted, but it can happen. On the 2€ level I played just one tournament and won a ticket. UO Ticket bankroll: MTT (bankroll 85,53 €): I finished 131/400+ in the Double Trouble. Best hand that I was dealt preflop for 45 minutes was 77 and I doubled up against KQ. The bustout was a A6s shove from the button with 3,4 BBs. The big blind called me with KJo and four flushed me on the river. Painful one! The big news this week is my second MTT victory for 2020. And this time it was a more prestigious that the Nano one. I won the 100€ Multiverse (2€ buy-in + 2€ add-on). Of course the luck part was enormous: in the middle part of the tournament (after late reg and add-on) I was down to 10 BBs and shoved my A9s from late position and got two callers: AJ and AQ. Miracle happened and I rivered a 9 and got my triple up. Tonight I will play the monthly freerolls with my community alias. I don’t remember to ever cash anything in these. I hope it will sum up and I will win one soon :D
  21. Hey @Murray74. Check this thread https://www.unibetcommunity.com/t5/Unibet-Open-UK-Tour/Unibet-Open-Ticket-Exchange-Policy-2019/td-p/238354

  23. SNG: Starting bankroll: 50 €; bankroll after week 25: 124,96 €; bankroll after week 26: 137,73 € This week I played almost exclusively the 1€ level, volume was low (9 played, 6 wins, 1 runner-up) as I had lots of stuff to do at the weekend. At the 2€ level I ended my red streak (9 without cashes) with one second place. Cash games: Starting bankroll: 100 €; bankroll after week 25: 49,23€ + 8,65€ cash ticket; bankroll after week 26: 59,87 € I busted the cash ticket, but I won 10,64 €. Satellites: On the 4€-level I played 3 more tournaments. In the first one I just played awful and after couple loose calls I was out.In the next one I was card dead. Shoved my 20-25 BBs with AQ after the late registration was completed and got two calls: JJ and AQ. The pair held and it was over for me and the other AQ xD.The third one started in a perfect way. First hand, I was in the BB and as usual a couple of guys limped. I floped trips with K kicker, bet the flop and got called and then bet again the turn and it was folded around. Chip leader! xD After that there were slow 10-15 minutes for me. The KK on the button with 4xBB original raise and one caller was the perfect opportunity. I reraised and the original raiser shoved his stack. I snapcalled and was against AQo. K on the flop and my opponent was dead on the turn. Chip leader once again with 8500 chips. Nothing interesting until the final table. With 7 people left (4 tickets, 1 other small cash) there was one very interesting hand. At that time I and 3 other players had similar stacks (15 BBs) in the first four places. I was in the BB (Ks9s) and all the other 3 mentioned players limped the pot. FLOP: JsThKd , giving me top pair, a dangerous gut shot and a backdoor flush draw. There was a bet of 1 BB, 1 guy folded, the other guy and I called. Turn: 3s. Again 1BB bet and two calls (including me). River: 2d, total brick. It was check around and I won the pot against AJ and QJ. This gave me the chip lead with more than 17000 chips and I folded all other hands and finished 2ndOn the 2€ level I played just one tournament, but I couldn’t cash. Don’t even remember the bust out, but it was something standard. On Friday I registered a freeroll (I do this mostly to add one more table, when I play) and then play these freerolls very aggressively and loose in order to gain a big stack early on. This time it worked: I won a 6 way preflop all in with KJo. I won 1€ UO ticket from this tournament and then turned it in a 4€ UO ticket. UO Ticket bankroll: MTT (bankroll 46,96 €): I finished ITM in the first Double Trouble, that I had ticket for. And boy, it was a sweat. I finished with less than an ante. Two hands before the tournament ended, I had 744 chips and the ante was 600. 10 seconds before the level change the hand was dealt with 102 players left. I folded and at this hand just 1 guy was knocked out. So 101 left, 100 ITM, I was forced all in and was dealt 45o, a guy shoved his 56s (??, but thank you!) and JKAA7 board meant, that we chopped! Unbelievable joy for me!!! It was actually just the third showdown for me in the tournament. I also played a couple of nano tournaments to complete the last part of June Missions. I will now use my second Double Trouble Ticket. I will play with my community alias. Wish me luck!
  24. Hey @ReCorpH I would like to have my cash game reaults from 01.01.2020 until 28.06.2020 divides by stakes. Thank you!
