xizted
I have been betting on esports on Unibet for a while now and i would like to give some helpful advice.1. The matches should always have the match format somewhere. I had a long chat with live support about a match because i didn't know if it was Best Of 1 or 2. This info is crucial for the bettor, and having no info about the format is like not knowing if football bet is for 90 or 45 minutes.2. Some stats about the teams would be nice. Its really not that important for someone who knows a lot about esports but for a new player, some stats would be nice.
DepchZ
This would be ideal indeed. In lol the series can have even more games so it should be stated it's the series winner if so.
xizted
It has been a while since i talked here about how esports betting on unibet could be improved, and oh boy there are a lot of things that could be better. One issue that has risen over everything else in my mind is the errors in start times, as even the biggest matches suffer from this as 2 of the eleague games have start times that are off by a whole day. I have contacted support about this twice and the start times are still incorrect, but the issue of incorrect information and start times has been here as long as i have been betting on unibet. Sometimes start times are only off by mere 15 minutes but i have also seen matches that are off by hours, or in this case by a day.I also want to point out that there has been nothing done about the things i said about a month ago.Other issue i have had is the knowledge about esports among the live support. The Finnish support luckily has some esports enthusiasts that understand these issues fully, but when dealing with the english support, i haven't come across anyone with enough knowledge about esports and things like these don't seem to matter to them.I hope i am not alone with this and i personally would love to help as much is possible with this
JeppeL
Thanks a lot for posting the feedback , I've forwarded the topic to our sportsbook and they've already responded with some information:The timing concern will be looked into and we'll see if we can pinpoint a specific issue regarding this problem.Statistics on E-sports won't be possible for the time being due to lack of data feed systems/integration. Simply put, the numbers are not available in a way compared to sports like football and tennis./Jeppe Former Community Manager
xizted
Great that the timing issue is being looked at. I really think that unibet has done a lot for esports betting, but there is still lot to be done and the only reason i have been vocal about these issues is that i believe that unibet could be the number one choice of esports bettors if the right decisions are made. The stats weren't the main point, they would be great but are not necessary. Im sure that the stats are there but the current sources of stats might not be the easiest to implement. Im actually not sure where you get your sports data from, but right now the best collection of csgo stats is hltv.org, i'm not sure if they offer any open source solutions but atleast a link to their match page could help new bettors who don't know that much about csgo. PokerAndBetting
In Sweden we get a free 20 SEK (€2) Esports freebet promo, but I only saw the little banner by chance on the betting startpage. The promo is open until tomorrow midnight. This promo is probably market specific but I guess at least the nordic countries has it. Small promo but hey, -it's free! Livertool
Not Finland :(Not really care though because it is quite hard to know what to bet as information/stats are quite limited.

Livertool
Any tips what to play? I am clueless. Prefer some underdog that might have chance rather than low odd favourite :cash:
Livertool
Here is the start and the end of my betting in e-sports. Watched for a moment on Twitch but couldn´t understand anything and i guess my bet is lost already.Isn´t here big risk of cheating as one player seemed to be like 12 years old and i would imagine that they don´t get payed for playing except maybe some price money? SkilfulPoker
I enjoyed the promo managed to win with Gambit Esports for 2.60 profit, thanks to @psrquack for the headsup about the free bet offer, and Unibet for the fun promo.
xizted
@Livertool Well at the top of esports the players are millionaires and they are getting paid salaries comparable to football players so cheating is not an option because of the counter measures the developers and tournament organizers have against cheating, and even in the lower leagues the penalties are so severe that the payoff is too small. For the esports bets if you still need some picks here are a couple:Penta VS SK Gaming, rounds over 26.5@2.25 Astralis VS Immortals, rouns over 26.5@2 NaVi VS G2 Esports, NaVi @2.

It's good to know your sport beforehand or it won't make much sense. There is a new generation coming that is very aware of eSports so it's a growing market. I follow LoL mostly and recently getting to know CS:GO a bit. Never played CS:GO, the old one yes so some of the maps are familiar but team and invidual strenghts I have not gotten in to. LoL is something I used to play quite some but now just enjoying the streams. The eSport of your bet Heroes of the Storm is a bit moba like, but not as popular as dota2/lol for me it was a bit more confusing at start as well as the map layout is not the legendary defence of the ancients map and there was some extra features for getting objectives, also if you don't know the heroes and their skills it's hard to follow what's going on. The top organisations do pay some salary for the teams players as well. I cannot speak for all teams as that is pretty much up to the negotiations between the team and organisation, but even some of the Overwatch teams are getting regular salary for representing a big organisation and that's not yet as big as CS:GO for example. All sports have the risk of manipulating market and I'm sure they're heavily checked upon. My bets for the promo:NaVi-G2 1@ @ 2,15 (I Know NaVi is strong, but don't know much about G2 in CS:GO so I cannot estimate the percentages, maybe G2 is the dog here) Virtus Pro - Vega Squadron + 3,5 2@ @ 1,90 (VP Is probably the favourite but I watched them fail a lot last week in some games so maybe they will keep continue to fail)
Livertool
Some of those guys were, at least looking very young, so doubt that they are getting salary. But could be wrong here.I should have picked some fps game and would have been nicer to follow :)

I really can't say anything about Heroes of the Storm. Done a couple of bets on that and tried to learn how the map and some heroes works maybe a month or two ago. Decided it's a bit too time consuming to get to know that game now and focus on getting know CS:GO better. :)

DepchZ
MUCH better Virtus than the past games I saw, failed my promo, I doubt Vega makes it back to overcome that deficit even with the +3,5. :) Perhaps this tournament is their swan song then for Virtus. PokerAndBetting
The idea of this promo was probably to make us try Esports betting, and it worked.I've been placing some everyday since. And now I will try to grab a prize in the tournament. The price of hating other human beings is loving oneself less.-Eldridge Cleaver
