  1. SzoBOSSzlai is the best Liverpool player at the moment, I didn't expect that! Man of the match! Also, Kerkez was amazing, had the most tackles and Salah was invisible on his side.

Reading Liverpool forums I'm not alone in the opinion that Salah shouldn't take the penalties anymore, he is Messi level bad recently. Did not double-check, but the commentator said before he scored, he missed 3 out of the last 10, now it is 4/11... I feel like some players from the PL winning team need to look for other teams to be motivated again, Van Dijk, TAA, and Salah are nowhere near to their best.

The next round against Newcastle will be a real test, but if the defense will play sleep like this, Newcastle will win easily.

Looking history, i don't know if Pep is qualified to whine about other teams using too much money but he has point here. Imagine Shitty using billion in under two years and shitstorm that would follow 😄 Not to mention that Chelsea too is already under investigation for financial violitions no matter if they are from Abra era.

Chelsea spends more (but selling a lot too) than him this year, and he looks pissed and jealous. Catalan hypocrite.

    No match report? Disappointed 😩

Flashscore says CR wasn't even with squad, still upset missing man of match trophy?

I believe he is injured, at least I read something like even as injured he was extremely proud and happy for the trophy and celebrated like this is the real Champions League. Not the first time for him to pick up an injury during a final match, a strange habit tho 😄

@Livertool, he could have been yours...Let's see how his role will be once Donatello comes on board, but playing the #10 for Real at 20 years old, that's not too shabby...

Bellingham's goal reminded me a bit of the Brazilian Ronaldo's first goal in Real (also in his first match as far as I remember). Real plays in a different system now with him, quite unorthodox from the club. Also, couldn't replace Benzema, Courtois, and Militao injured, this is the last season of Ancelotti - gonna be weird.

Szoboszlai wasn't bad in his first match, had a great solo and a big chance in the first half when Jota arrived and made the shot instead of him. Klopp was certainly satisfied. (edit: with Dom and not Jota :))

Not much news about him even in Hungarian media. but Kerkez Milos also made his debut in the Premier League and Bournemouth and was the man of the match. Keep an eye on him, very good in defense and attack as well on the left side, I will surely get him in fantasy a couple of times. Played in youth Milan too, and came from Alkmaar - big talent.

  5. Saudi League is broadcasted on a sports channel in Hungary! Not surprised in Orbany, but I have to say I might watch a couple of matches, at least I don't have to look for streams anymore (or watch on the small screen of betting sites).

The rosters are getting very strong there.

Lesson to learn for cheap BVB management. You gotta spend money to make money... and success 😉

Tbh personally i would have invested that money for couple of quality defenders,  gotta trust Klopp knows what he is doing 🥶

Klopp lost his mind? He has great players for every position except the defense... And that much money for Caicedo?

But hey, if Pool wanna play like a few years ago, with the motto of "the most important to score more goals", then I'm in for the goal fests! 🥳

Atalanta is quite dominating, especially against 10-20 placed teams. They create a lot of chances and 32games and 9goals looks pretty bad for me. Even in Sturm Graz he had 18games and 9 goals. Thats all his senior efforts! 50games 18goals and 80mln transfer. Quite a gamble, i think what saving him is national team efforts a bit. Haaland got like 100 senior goals when he went for City, diffrent case IMO :classic_blink: BTW Pole Szymon Włodarczyk is now in Sturm and he scored 2goals in 2games plus 3 in austrian pokal. Didnt score only against PSV thrashing 4:1. Said it once that he is very wooden but by all means he is on the way to make Hojlund numbers :classic_ohmy: Ten Haag is good coach even if in back my head is this voice that no good coach lose 7:0 but he revived Rashford, integrated Casemiro/Martinez. He can have plan for Holjlund but judging from his previous seasons i dont think he will fire goals in his first season and thats the expectation!

@WuDuIm not that hot against mailman but trio Demirovic, Berisha and Beljo will be hard pressed to make 9g and 11a zusammen! I know austrian league is mostly 2nd Buli or even dritte liga level apart from two/three top teams [and Wolfsberger is not one of them], but still its weird that team like Augsburg is kicking him away. 2mln for german throwaway is big price, they have one John Yeboah and after good start he is very frustrating.

Thats how he fumble one on one running with few meters advantage at defenders. This one almost costed Rakow playoff win.

    Video https://sport.tvp.pl/71719214/el-lm-karabach-rakow-john-yeboah-nie-wykorzystal-sam-na-sam-wideo

In other news once highly rated Michał Karbownik signed with Hertha for 2,5mln. He was bought three years ago by Brighton for 4+2. I think those 2 never materialize since he was loaned since, with Olympiacos paying 1mln for his loan only to play him in the reserves :classic_biggrin:

He's got good spell in Fortuna, and had some offers between Fortuna/Schalke and Hertha. I would advise him to stay in Fortuna or go to Schalke, even if money is slightly worse. Dardai Berlin is such a bad choice.

Atalanta has regressed a lot in the past two seasons. Used to reach Coppa Italia finals, PO rounds of CL (almost beat PSG - I believe - in the covid season), and finished third three times in a row in Italy scoring nearly 100 (!) goals once. Last two seasons: quarterfinals in the cup, failure in the group stage in the CL (and no Europe last year), finished 8th (!) and (basically) 6th in the league scoring only 65 and 66 goals. Dominating... in possession? Maybe, I'm not sure, but based on the pure number of shots Atalanta finished in distant 6th too. That's very bad, especially in Serie A with Mourinho, Sarri, and Allegri.

However, I meant by "good, dominating team" the likes of Malmo, Salzburg, Dortmund, and City, so the very top of their leagues. Sturm Graz and Atalanta are far from that.

When Haaland was at the same age, he just started his first full season at Dortmund. Not much ahead of Hojlund to be fair. His numbers are not that great for sure, but maybe all he needs is a good team. In his first season in a top league, accompanied by many experienced strikers he wasn't a clear starter, he wasn't a penalty taker, and still had 9 goals in a quite defensive league - not too shabby.

Obviously, ManU paid much more than Hojlund is worth, but this is what happens when rules are bent by other teams and countries... All in all, he is better in some aspects of the game than Haaland, he has the potential, but could be the next Felix or Sterling. Personally, I believe he would have a better future at Spurs under Postecoglou, especially now that Kane is about to leave. On my watchlist, anyway.

  8. Hojlund as Lidl-Haaland, is a good one, but may be valid only for now. Yeah, a similar Scandinavian monster striker with power and speed, but I have seen him many times in Atalanta, the guy has potential, has a better technique, is more intelligent, and uses both feet and head to score much more than Haaland. He has fewer shots and is quite raw, but he is only 20 and didn't play in a good, dominating team yet.

Unfortunately, Manchester United is not a good team either. 😂 In fact, it's like a black hole and carriers' cemetery since SAF left.

  9. That was insane. I started to watch when the goalkeeper converted her penalty, excellent timing from me too. Felt bad for her after she saved the last shot, but actually, she didn't... Her face when Swedish girls went to celebrate will be a meme for the next few months or years. But also that screenshot from the VAR room, unbelievable.

Rapinoe is gone for good, right? Missing a decisive penalty is not the way for a legendary figure like her.

This was maybe the second "match" I watched and these two minutes make me say this is a great tournament 😂

Hard to say behalf of others but i would say it is more likely that players stay to team that has legit chance to play for trophies, and that they get paid accordingly. You really can't cheat with these things, good things cost extra. Not saying you have to hold onto them for whole career but usually players ain't at their best before 25ish. In addition, buli/cl champion and ballon d'or winner Haaland would bring lot more transfer money to table than 70M that you got from none winner 22 yo Haaland.

Not to mention he was part almost third of all of their goals in a quite material poor team, except Hradecky ofc 😋

Once again it was just an example from transfer market.

Frimpong, Wirtz or Schick? Leverkusen has a very good and balanced squad with very few leaks (one and probably the biggest is Hradecky 😂), this team is ready for the title under Xabi. Unfortunately, it's Loserkusen or Neverkusen for a reason, but the chance is there.

Diaby is good, but only if he has enough space to use his speed. He has never scored or assisted against Bayern, he was pretty invisible against Roma and Porto last year (both known for tough defense). Also, he was better a year ago, so I feel he could be a flop for Villa. I hope not, because that Emery project looks promising. He is a tiny bit better than Adeyemi right now but overhyped (and priced) for sure.

  12. The problem is that Arsenal is delusional, trying to spend in City-style to have the same success, but doing that in 2 years instead of 10, I don't know... However, this transfer season so far is scary bad, like Football Manager. But let's see how this will work. Because that's actually true that Arsenal couldn't replace Gabriel Jesus and Saliba with quality players when it really mattered, so yeah, maybe overspending could be the "right" thing to win the title - the last few years is the proof.

  13. What answer do you need? City was in the race so the price went up. Arteta needed him badly, he wants him as the franchise player for the next ten years so they paid what they had to and the move looks to convince all the sides. Record fee for them, the only fee over 80 million and only the 8th over 50. Compare if you have any spare time.

IMO this is a bad transfer, Rice is overhyped as fuck, nothing special. But Arsenal is known for not spending, but when they do... they are flops like Pepe.

  14. I'm not happy with the changes, but it could work in my favor since I missed the sub window too often. Anyway, I don't think I could do well (not even for a half-season like last year) this time, most of my players are out of the league 😂
