  1. Those viewing numbers are just expectations, and if we have read the same article, it says the actual viewing numbers are one of the lowest for a CL final. Most probably because none of the teams are popular (for many reasons, we all know) like Real, Bayern, or Juventus, and maybe not because they are unwatchable. But as it turned out, it was really unwatchable. Btw I have to correct myself, I know one guy from my "company" who watched about one hour from the game live on tv. 😬

I don't even remember a good game or a big drama honestly, but maybe I was spoiled by the Bundesliga season, the Arsenal comebacks (and meltdowns 😂), and Brighton. I don't really support any football team, but it doesn't mean anything, I'm a Hungarian and I watch every World Cup 😅(However, the last was a disaster). To pay for this? I don't think so.

Also, a nice story that City came from the third league, I would stand up and clap (like I admire Brighton or Atletico for building something big from a low budget) if not for those cheatings and spent millions. But could have been worse, by Inter winning it 😬

  2. Yeah @GR1ZZL3R, you are correct, many may have missed it because literally, nobody cared about this match-up. Checking the stats and reading through the news, I think I made the best decision skipping it and spending those two hours in a better way. 😍

Well done to Chitty tho (actually the two biggest cheaters were in the final, so to be clear, talking about City), it was about time to avoid being the biggest losers ever. Nice 10+ years run to the title, money well spent!

At the same time, the A and B category matches (so the more popular ones) won't be available for free from next year in Hungary. Well, not sure I will miss it, this year was really a boring tournament, and I definitely wouldn't pay for it. Let's see!

  3. I have the habit to make acca bets for goals in the last rounds of leagues, but this season it was a catastrophe (like the whole season, and not talking about betting). Finally, at least the Premier League thanked the fans and entertained people around the globe - too bad I was busy and didn't bet on PL 😁

Btw, regarding entertainment, the only match where nobody cared to have fun was the Brentford - Man City. They said City is entertaining, if I wanna watch goals and chances, I should watch it...

On a serious note, if you are the manager of City, you are one goal down, you have young players on your bench who didn't make a debut in the Premier League yet, an attacking midfielder and a striker. What do you do? You don't sub at all, right? Must be a Catalan humor I don't understand...

  4. A nice tip for Nürnberg!

Hamburg is one of the biggest losers, choking all the time when they are about to win the BuLi2, and now this... Celebrated on the pitch already, must be heartbreaking. Németh András hopefully stays (first of all injury-free) and can make an impact next year - in BuLi2 😐

  5. That's very disrespectful to Kahn, even in these circumstances.

I watched the PL PO game, and Dortmund (especially Haller) should watch the replay. The biggest match of their life in the fully packed Wembley, but the guys were focused and confident, none of them was shaking or afraid and the first 11 players didn't miss the penalty. I was impressed. Luton won the two-way ticket, their "stadium" is cute, and I became a fan, but I doubt we will see Luton in the Premier League for more than a year.

  6. You are way too overconfident my friend 😅 It feels like you don't know the team... Just wait until the last second. I would cash out now too, to be honest, their choking ability is there. I won already, but Dortmund still has one game!

Well that made things interesting. Let's see if BvB still finds a way to duck it up from here 🍿🙂👍

Yeah, there is a chance for that, unfortunately. Hopefully two wins for Dortmund, because that's what the Bundesliga needs.

Few examples from that "amazing" title run last year:

    PSG - Real

    Goal attempts: 22 - 3

    Shots on target: 8 -

    Real - PSG

0-1 down until 61th minute and then later magical 2 minutes again where they scored 2 goals.

    Liverpool - Real final

    Goal attempts: 23 - 3

    Shots on goal 9 - 1

In between they barely managed to win Chelsea on extra time, team that yourself admit sucks big time.

I understand that Real fans accept those wins and title, i would but other than that you got to be braindamaged to claim they won with playing good and entertaining football.

Agree. Even mediocre player can look like quality player when they get to play in good team 😉

I think you have lost the plot.

Even as a neutral fan, the title run (and not the football) was dramatic and that's why we can call it entertaining. Of course, not for PSG, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Loserpool fans.

Ancelotti had a nearly perfect game plan for the first game. I didn't say (!) it was entertaining at all, you asked (tried to bully) "@cris1285 still thinks better and more entertaining team lost?" If you ask it that way, yep, Real was the better and more entertaining team on that given day. But I wouldn't say the football they play in general is amazing and the best, never said that. Much more enjoyable than City though.

I get you are still bitter as a Pool fan and upset about Real for those 2 lost CL finals. Accept that, all I can say. Need players with bigger balls and bigger hearts to change that next time. If there will be next time...

This was a good exchange of views, and pretty enjoyable with stats, facts, and opinions. However, when you call others "braindamaged" you surely lose it.

What three matchups? Some old matches against Bayern? Never said Real has sucked every match that they have played nor Pep matches are always good but last year Real lucked out and this year they ran out of luck. And same against Liverpool too recently, Real has sucked big time but unlike Pep Klopp didn't manage to break Real tactics. So credit must be given were it should go.

No? Lots of examples of that happening. Just look at what Chelsea has been doing for years already. Everyone they get turns to bad in there, including quality players from City like Sterling.

And how much quality players they are before they play under Pep? I think Wudu's post says a lot: 😂

The three matchups Real won the exact same way on the title run last year. I talked about those together, because that's the proof it was not about a lucky few minutes. Mentality. Sucked big time? Okay.

Chelsea is a different animal, they buy plenty of players at every possible transfer window, and change coaches every month. That's surreal even for Soccer Manager. I hope you see the difference. Also, I don't see many really good players there, Havertz, Enzo, James, Mount, Koulibaly, and here I should look up the squad for more... Most of their key players got old and injury prone. I honestly don't see here "16-18 absolute world-class who would be in the starting eleven anywhere else". Sterling was on a heavy decline, he is far from a quality player. I don't know about Akanji, just because WuDu doesn't like him, he could very well be a world-class player. Even Pep can't make him that only in a few months, impossible. However, he is a good mentor for players, I have always admitted that here.

On a side note, Chelsea won a couple of Premier League, and also two Champions League trophies since Pep won his last (until this May). Sounds like an own goal to me.

That is the best part, no trolling needed in this one.

Standard don't seem to be too high if that is best explanation.

If we just look at facts and stats then answers are pretty obvious, last year Real had two lucky minutes to take it to overtime and that was after Grealish didn't manage to kill the game with 0-2. This year City didn't leave nothing by chance and no question of better team.

If goals and goal chances makes you tired then football might be too exciting for you and might prefer petanque or something but that ain't City's fault 😊

You can't win three matchups by luck. That is called the champions mentality. Something Man City and Pep usually missing. They are winning because of consistency, nothing else. Obviously, can't be inconsistent with 16-18 quality players. And by quality, I mean absolute world-class who would be in the starting eleven anywhere else.

If I wanna see goals and goal chances (and not passing back to the goalkeeper from there) and wanna watch good teams, I watch Brighton or Arsenal for instance. I use to watch Liverpool too but would hurt my eyes this year 🤭

Real finally ran out of luck and City murdered them.

@cris1285 still thinks better and more entertaining team lost? 😂

So much trolling only in two sentences...

Let me fix it for you: Real finally had a bad day at the office in the CL. First time in ages. As the best Hungarian soccer analyst said at halftime, Real made too many unforced errors and dug themselves deep, no matter the opponent. It could have been Valladolid.

In the first match, Real was the better and the more entertaining as you said, that was crystal clear for everyone who didn't go black-out drunk 🙂 City's equalizer should have been disallowed for quite a few reasons, Ancelotti's tactic worked well, the goal from them was a fantastic, typical counterattack by Real. You know, the same tactic that worked a few years ago against Guardiola, when Real "murdered" Pep's Bayern (4-0). One bad game is not enough to change my opinion. I literally fell asleep at every ManCity match, I just can't stay awake, or watch the full game, no matter if it's at 1:30 or 9. Neverending tiki-taka makes me hate football. Especially when I think how much money is involved 🤑

As I said after the WC, this is City's trophy to lose. The best chance, now or never, there is not even one decent team at the moment. World Cup in winter was a genius idea - well, it was for Haaland.

  12. Ancelotti masterclass on display. Many years ago I thought he was too old and the modern game has passed him, but he proved me wrong in the last few years. It should be a win last night though... City was not convincing at all, Haaland was deactivated by Real, so the draw must be disappointing. Have to point out that Dias the ref had a 2 minutes blackout, and City used it to their advantage. The ball clearly touched Dias (stomach or hand?) but goal kick for City, few seconds later De Bruyne stepped on Kroos's feet for a yellow but it was a throw-in for City, and a few seconds later the Belgian scored 😐

If City and Inter will make it to the final, the first time I'm not going to watch a CL final. The whole season is trash thanks to the WC, but that would top the cake. I almost fell asleep when City kept the ball last night, boring like hell, passing the ball around like there is tomorrow without a plan (at least your attacking time running out in handball) and Inter is so weak, that would be an easy and boring 3-0.

That being said, I hope Rafael Leao is healthy for the game tonight!

I think the Hertha - Stuttgart will be a high-scoring game. Pal needs three points, otherwise, it's pretty much over. Stuttgart must be tired and disappointed, which could lead to a lack of concentration. For me, it's a sure over. And hopefully, Hertha wins.

Goals over was easy. Let's hope Hertha can keep the score. Bredlow, bent low, the second goal from HBSC is funny.
