Plat 10: make a royal

This might sound like an odd question so bear with me. I'm travelling to the USA this year and the major casinos all give a variety of rewards to their big customers. There is also 'status matching' where people who play a lot in one casino / site are rewarded when they go to other casinos. Does Unibet do anything like this? Is there any way in which high volume play on unibet is recognised by other companies? FWIW I rake >50K Euro a year on Unibet. I realise that this isn't massive compared to punters playing 5k a hand of blackjack but its not nothing. The answer is probably 'no' but I thought I would ask just in case. Ideas / thoughts: 1) Shorstack master: V similar to Banzai just 2x the BI and its PLO. Suspect this will be absolutely mental with a ton of people sending it every other hand, great if you wanna gambool. Rec players will love it, I think this is fab. I will have a spin for sure. Should rake a lot assuming its the same rake struc. as 50PLO? The fact that you win a prize for spinning it up disincentivises ratholing which is a major issue in PLO games. 2) Bubble burster: I can see the appeal for people who think comps are pointless bingo once average stacks reach <15bb. Jackpot is a very generous giveaway, but god is it hard to win 3 in a row (would love for someone to manage it though). Another site has a very similar promo, i rate it. Another site also resets the blind level on the FT to make for deeper more meaningful play which is quite cool, v similar idea to this. Seems good. 3) Wild Wednesdays: lmfao nanostakes mtts gonna be even more of a puntfest than they already are. Again, I wont hop in but if I played nanostakes comps I def would. 4) Deepstack legend: I slated this idea a bit a while back but I kinda get it at 10nl. Seems like it might be a bit nitreggy. Issue I can imagine is that the 10nl players dont wanna sit 100 deep and the 100nl players dont wanna play with 0.10 blinds. Might be a bit nitreggy with 25nl nitregs playing scared, idk. Long term I think it will need a promo to keep people playing (probably more than bragging rights). 5) Banzai Bonanza: This is for a completely different customer to all the other games, its the biggest game on the site ( in terms of the size of the big blind). I imagine pool is a mix of some B20 players who are feeling frisky and then some 400nl players trying banzai for the first time. Swings will be fucking unreal. Flop race is a great way to encourage people to take a shot, esp the B20 players who are probably gonna think this is a big step up. I will be in the mix. Makes sense having this Friday night because this HAS to be at a time when there is already multiple games of B20 so there will be sufficient volume to run. 6) Hexapro Extreme: I think a distribution with more 100 or 125x wins is better than an infinitesimally small chance to win 1000x. My heart sinks when i see the game whittle down the options to 1000x and 1.5x cos i know its gonna be 1.5x. IDK what the deal with rake is but if its 15bb stacks in the majority of games then its gonna be REALLY hard to overcome 6.8% rake, there is just so little room to push edge. I quite like the idea of it being slower and deeper when its a big multiplier eg. 20x or more, I rate that. Obviously if there is a jackpot mania running then the true rake is less relevant. I will flick in a few games when jackpot mania is running at the 10 Euro level. 7) Stellar Sundays: IDK what to say other than the avatar is pretty dope. Community missions: I wouldn't have some overall weekly leaderboard thing because the 7 days are completely different games for completely different player types. There are people who fire 1 euro comps and there are people who play B50 and there is no overlap IMO. For the PLO and banzai you really want promos that encourage people to stay and gamble and discourage hit and running. eg. most people stacked in one hand would be a funny challenge, or biggest side pot won where you lose the main. For the hexapros: winning a hexa in the fewest hands possible. in the deepstack cash I think we wanna incenvitise LAG play, maybe something like bet >50BB on river with no pair and win, or win a pot with 72. Dunno about the comps, maybe making the most FTs or something, or deepest runs on the first bullet in the wild ones. Run good everyone, should be some mad mad games in some of these.

I saw a post a few weeks ago asking what people thought about 500-1000BB cash game tables on unibet. I had some more thoughts on this: 1) In short, I think 500BB is simply too much as a minimum BI for any cash game. 2) Literally no other site / app / casino runs games where the min BI is anywhere near that deep. It isn't popular with recreationals or regulars. In fact, many recreational players prefer spinning it in off shorter stacks, which is partly why games like hexapros / banzai are popular with rec. players. If someone wants to sit with 100 Euros they play 100nl, or maybe shortstack 200nl. I guess a few people want to sit 50nl with 200bb maybe? I don't think anyone wants to sit 1000bbs deep at 0.5/10. 3) 500BB poker isn't interesting because the blinds and the vast majority of pots are such an absurdly small % of your stack. 4) If Unibet is going to run deepstacked cash games then I would probably make it something like 100BB minimum BI and 250BB maximum. I would also add an ante. I think this would be quite cool and has potential. I am absolutely not against change / innovation, but I think the proposed 500-1000BB model needs tweaking. 5) At 100NL+ there isn't really sufficient liquidity most of the day for multiple versions of the same blind level to run IMO. Regs are not gonna battle other regs for hours playing HU or 3 handed at a 500BB game when its incredibly unlikely that a rec. player sits. 6) I think that 500BB minimum BI games would essentially never run on unibet unless there was an enormous promotion to incentivise regs to play. With no promotion I could see a stake like 1/2 with 1k sit down see <1% of the volume of 200nl, and quite possibly unibet could spread it for a week and literally no hands would be dealt. FWIW I raked >50K euro in 2021 playing mainly 50nl-200nl on Unibet so I would like to think I have some understanding of whats going on in those stakes. Thats just my 0.02 tho. I hope this helps, this is definitely NOT me trying to shit on unibet for trying out new things btw. I think online poker will continue to evolve with different game types / software etc and that some stuff will have be tweaked a bit to fit with the customers / regulations etc. FWIW I quite like the table 'chat'. Thats a very deep game. IDK how to feel about it. Idea: have you considered having antes on the deepstacked cash games? Might make for more meaningful play that deep. FWIW I have never heard of games this deep running online, usually if its a deep game its something like 100-250bb deep (sometimes with antes or straddles). I'm not sure how to feel without knowing what the full details would be....

Hey @Stubbe-Unibet Some more thoughts: A) I really like the range of backgrounds you posted, more variety is great. I also really like that the ones you posted are very minimalist, in particular there is no clutter outside of the felt. Really clean, would love to see stuff like this make it into the next update. B) The minor formatting changes I already no longer notice, as you expected. C) The HHs are now much easier to scroll through in the history tab. There were previously some bugs where it was hard to scroll down and some HHs were duplicated. These problems have vanished.

Played for 2 nights since the update (>8h and >2k hands total), some thoughts: 1) As far as I can tell the glitch in the history replayer where the button is in the wrong place has been fixed. Many thanks, this is a massive improvement. 2) Chat is cool, recs will especially appreciate it. Good for messing around and having silly banter. I agree that chat where people just type anything they like generally leads to ridiculous abuse, I have been called every term of abuse in the English language (and some other languages) on other sites. With the Unibet option you do lose the ability to have genuine polite chat but its fair enough given the abuse (we can always chat on the forums). Fun stuff to make the games enjoyable for casual players is great and something Unibet does better than a lot of other sites. 3) IDK how anyone can strongly dislike the chat option, if you dont like it you can just disable it in one click. This is like really hating one of the table backgrounds when there are 20 to choose from. Some people just love to hate. 4) Whenever I try and rebuy I click the wrong button and change from BB to Euros. This is a massive pain in the ass because my muscle memory has me clicking the wrong spot. People will want to rebuy infinitely more often than they want to switch between bb and Euro values. I will top up way too many times a year and I will likely just view everything in BB the entire year. The widget for changing from bb/Euro can just be in the settings menu, not something that changes when you click your stack. Also this again highlights that auto top up would be an idea... I think someone else already raised this but i will say it again anyway cos it stands out to me. 5) Level 6 of the Gamelab Hall of Fame is fixed, good job! 6) I am going to ask a stupid question: At the end of completing a bi-weekly personalised bonus, will the bonus go from showing '1 day left', to suddenly expiring at midnight UK time if I am in the UK? Or will I see it being at '0 days left' on the last day, and expiring at midnight UK time? I feel like a moron asking this but I will feel like an even bigger moron if I bust my ass for 2 weeks and then think I have 1 day left to complete it and then it expires when i have done 99%. Asking because I think it will be a big effort to complete my bonus and I might be playing a lot on the last day or two to reach it. 7) I agree with p0kerm0nk that the graphics were marginally cleaner pre update but its not a huge deal. 8 ) If you go into the gamelab hall of fame level 2, the biggest pots shown are often some guy with a massive stack jamming pre and everyone folding. Check the biggest pots in BB atm, its just some guy 3b jamming preflop and the raiser folding. Probably not what unibet intended. 9) I dont see it as an option yet but the nordic cup table background is absolutely stunning, LOVE it. Looking forward to using that when it becomes available. More styles like that would be fantastic. TLDR: Overall like the chat, like the bug fixes, would sort out the rebuy thing ASAP cos its annoying. I hope this helps. GL at the tables everyone.

I really like this format, I think its a big improvement. I agree that it is not traditional, however I think the traditional style rake races for specific stakes / formats have subtle drawbacks. People who play a wide range of stakes and games get penalised in the traditional structures (eg a 100NL flop race) because its much MUCH better to just play eg infinite 100nl, vs a bit of 100nl, a bit of 200nl, some 50nl, some plo, some SNGs, some hexas etc. The infinite volume 100nl player might rake less than the player playing a bit of everything but get more in rewards which is nonsensical. This is also a big deal because a lot of new / recreational players like to play a mix of different things, whereas many of the 'for profit' players will specialise and do nothing but play one format eg. Hexas, or high stakes PLO. If there is a rake race for 100nl exclusively, it kind of discourages anyone from moving up or doing anything other than playing 100nl. If all the 100nl games break at 2am then people aren't inclined to play 50nl or 200nl for a bit, because it contributes nothing to the 100nl rake race, and playing a small amount of 200nl will never get them into the 200nl rake race. With this structure in December, everything is rewarded equally. Personally I also prefer weekly vs monthly rewards, though I'm not fanatical about this. There may be people who complain that its unfair that someone playing 50nl is competing with someone at 400nl, but they miss the point. Obviously someone who only plays 50nl wont win the 1k 1st prize, but no promo ever will award 1k euro for someone who plays 50nl for a week! (if you know anywhere giving away 1k a week for 50nl grinders then HMU) Winning 70 euro for coming 65th in a universal rake race is the same thing as winning 70 euro for coming 1st in a rake race exclusive to 50nl. FWIW I expect to be on the leaderboard but not right at the top. Much love to the dev team, there have been a bunch of changes recently and I think almost all of them are improvements both for the site and the players.
