It's almost like being there isn't it? 😄 An excellent week's racing from my point of view, the results just keep coming. 😲 The only downside is you start wondering if and when variance is going to start catching up, there's nothing to do but ride the wave. 🏄♂️ Twenty seven winners from ninety seven and hitting the £50 profit in 20 days is much much more than I expected, especially after a very slow struggle to start with. That was 10 from 47 and only a little over £4 profit in 12 days, so the last week has been very exciting. The most unexpected thing is the level stakes would have been well in front as well, so the progressive staking I'm using is not a struggle yet. So far I've beaten the S.P. by 8.25 points over 27 winners, about 0.30 points per winner, every little helps. Last time that happened I backed it and it lost, this time I didn't back it and it hacked up. 😡 Yet another blank Sunday today, the third in five weeks, so time to take stock. A slightly disappointing week if only for the number of races, 22, a couple of non-runners and an abandonment, but still five winners keeping up the strike rate and a new profit high on Thursday, so not too bad really. 😄 I'm still managing a strike rate of 25% at an average price of just under 4/1 so staying ahead at level stakes, helped in large part by the winners beating the S.P. by 14.5 points. This is the most time consuming part of the process, I keep the racing pages open most of the time if not actually on the screen, to keep checking for any price movements in between other things. (Missed Spanish Kiss being gambled on yesterday, by the time I saw it it was odds on.) I would like to be able to back them all at once at flat stakes, but the difference in returns using progressive staking from race to race speaks for itself, long may it continue. 👍 It is of course still fun at this stage. 🥸 Happy Fun Punting. 🏇 💂♂️ 2 "It turns out that 75% of all poker players think they play better than the other 75%." GR1ZZL3R Posted June 22, 2021 Author Share Posted June 22, 2021 (edited) When I posted the tips yesterday BALLYEGAN HERO was 7/2, drifted out to 5/1 which I took with the aid of Uniboost when it shortened to 9/2. The price continued to shorten, down to 9/4 at the off. 😲 All four remained grouped most of the way round then HERO decided to go for it coming round the last bend A worrying mistake at the second last but going further clear. Cleared the last, gamble landed, returned 7/4. I have to go out so have bet the 4 runners, taking prices as three have shortened already, and hoping to be able to check in during their running, possibly with a view to adjustments, although this is not likely.
