  1. Yeah it's a great one! I've been using it for a long time and it feels very strange to play if I change it now (the hand replayer doesnt show it for some reason)
  2. Thanks for moving my previous blog post to the correct location @Jami-Unibet (seems like it took some work). I'll try to find my own blog in the future 😄 Bankroll is 1374.29€. I've put in some good volume recently, I'm already about halfway to L5 when last quarter it took me almost the whole quarter to reach that loyalty level. It's been a bit of a struggle recently, I was running pretty bad for a few days but today I managed to sunrun and win about 10 buyins. I'm still regularly making some big mistakes and some days I play quite badly I think. I tend to be overbluffy when I'm not paying attention. Trying to visualize ranges (and sleeping better) helps me keep that in check a bit. I think visualizing ranges or understanding range composition is pretty crucial if you want to play a strong strategy. I'm still paying off the tight regs too much, there's some spots where I probably should be folding pretty much my whole range (for exploitative reasons) but I just can't get myself to do it. Here's an example from today: I think it's a pretty trivial turn fold. I don't think this kind of player will bluff overcards for 2 streets multiway at all (maybe 56s can bluff but I don't think this player would have that even), it's just an overpair 90% of the time and this should be an easy fold (also lol at that river sizing, I think it's usually a bit of a tell). Maybe 98s or 87s is value shoving turn but probably not, and even if they are it's still only a few hands that I beat. If I'm folding this, I'm folding everything that isn't 44 or A4s or maybe 54s (or 88 if I just call it preflop for some reason), but none of that matter of course, I need to stop thinking about that. In general I need to trust my reads more, because usually when I ignore them it ends up badly (there could be some confirmation bias in there too but still). I made the call and villain had QQ here.
  3. Yeah but maybe at least one tournament that fits these filters? 😃 Unfortunately, you're not wrong 😂. I always manage to find a way to punt away my stack. Well I would rather not lose my sleep for the sake of a mincash 😛
  4. Saw you (I think it was you) disconnect in some SNGs, unlucky 😞
  5. Awesome changes, I like all of them! 1 am CET is still pretty late for some, maybe you could add a few big hyper speed or early bird tournaments that end at 23:00 CET for example? I support having more bounty, omaha and hyper tourneys (and less ones with an addon) 👍 What is a major MTT? When do these changes come into effect?
  6. Unlucky session! Good luck in the future (though seems risky like the others have said). Why 2 cups. 😂 Doesn't one cup insulate well enough? I think GTO is to buy/bring your own reusable cup if you go often 😉
  7. Welcome back! In some ways it's nice to have more regs at the 25€ limit so that it can run more often (and also nice to read a SNG blog especially from a legendary grinder like you) 😀 Liquidity at the 25€ level seems to be best in the evenings around 19-23 CEST. Saturday seems to be surprisingly bad (comapred to what you might think), but it's probably because of the Hexapro extreme promo, Friday they probably run best.
  8. If you wanted to you could ask for the results from Unibet and check how you have been running in terms of prize pools (and your win% and other stuff). Long ago I wrote a script that goes through the results and calculates some things. I remember over a sample of about 1000 Hexapro at some stake I was running pretty good and had a prizepool distribution that was equivalent to paying something like -7% rake (I don't remember the exact number). In other words Unibet was "giving me money" over that sample instead of me paying them rake. But if you are running bad with prizepools, variance can suck for sure 😅
  9. Bankroll 1024.39€ Today I ran hotter than I've ran in a long time (and I feel like I've been running quite good for a long time now anyway). I think I played 33 25€ HU SNG and won 24 of them (if I counted correctly). I slept home last night, the air doesn't feel perfect still but better than it was a few days ago. Perhaps the air pollution gave me super powers for running hotter than the sun? Isn't that how superpowers work, you need to be exposed to something unhealthy first to get them?🕷️ I also got into a 125x 1€ Hexapro extreme but I busted 3rd (lost most of my chips with AT vs KJ all in preflop).
  10. It's not so much demolition, but lots of machines with exhaust pipes and some digging (raises dust). I think the construction makes it much worse but it doesn't contribute all of it. For whatever reason I'm probably also bothered by it way more than most with similar symptoms: slight lung sensation, mild cough etc (I mean a lot of people smoke for their whole life, I'm not judging them but it's not a habit I would be able to hold for very long). I think it's something quite psychological.
  11. I think you're using ROI differently than it's usually used in poker. I'm guessing you're comparing your profits so far to your initial deposit, whereas mostly in poker it's used to compare the total of cashes to buyins (for example if you've bought in altogether for 100€ worth of tournaments and cashed for 135€ total then the ROI is 35%). But anyway it's a great run regardless! Sounds like a good adjustment 👌 (although goodbye 30% ITM goals :p)
  12. It's in the central city area with lots of construction going on (and cars) so I think it's worse than it would normally be. But yeah probably I'm just more sensitive than most too or I find bad air more disturbing than most (I've usually been the one to complain when visiting Athens or London). 😂 I also maybe have been having a mild cold that has made it worse. That's a good point, I did wonder about the ventilation myself too, but I don't think there's anything I can do about it anyway 😅
  13. I actually disagree but maybe the majority think like you. I've played the deepstack legend promotion a few times. I think it's fun to be able to open raise 4 BB, 3 bet random weird suited hands more often, and overbet a lot postflop etc. without it being too bad. Deepstack it seems like you need to play more tricky and take lines/hands that surprise your opponent more often, which I think is quite fun. It feels very different/unique to play compared to 100 BB deep, at least in the bigger hands. Players seem to have no idea how to play 1000 BB deep postflop (I'm not saying I do either but most regs play it the same way as if they were playing 100 BB deep). I think a lot of regs don't play it because they haven't studied 1000 BB deep and there is a 2 table cap. And there's a lot of recs who really don't mind gambling it up for 1000 BB with AT offsuit. It's not that hard to make 500 BB or even 1000 BB profit (or loss) on one table because of the stack depth and player pool, in 100 BB deep it's almost impossible. Edit: Oh this is almost a year old 😂
  14. I think personally I'm not taking the add-on when I'm a big stack like that (but I'm no expert either). What a beautiful number 🤩. You have to make it deep into the final table on average during the sample to make an ROI like that, don't you?
  15. Bankroll is 719.89€. Most of my SNG sessions recently have been kind of break-evenish or slightly winning. Still no losing sessions of any notable size. 😅 Here's a fun hand: I limped in preflop and villain checked back. Flop texture I would usually cbet a lot but not every time. Villain called my cbet (they seemed to call my cbets often). Turn came A and went check-check. River is the 7 of diamonds. I think villain would usually bet 6x, but mostly check Kx and 7x and most Ax would shove pre. So when villain bets river I think it's mostly 6x or bluffs (also I expect 6x to go really big when you have such a narrow but nutted value range, personally I might even shove 6x in villains shoes against players that aren't nits, against nits I'm using that sizing as a bluff because they fold their whole range 😉). The bet size, value range and villains flop floatyness being what it is, I make a pretty loose hero call. Here's the result: Villain seemed to stop bluffing me after that. 😂 Life has been maybe even weirder than poker, the air quality near my apartment has been bad recently and one day I had enough because I couldn't sleep properly and I decided to go camping for the night. I've been sleeping in the woods a few nights in a row now 😂. Luckily Finland has lots of quiet woods at the outskirts of cities and I have good gear. And luckily I'm gonna move away from there soonish. On the other hand it's quite refreshing to wake up in nature even though it's inconvenient, so I can't complain too much. The air seems better today so I might actually sleep at home tonight. People seem to live in polluted areas like everything is normal, maybe I'm the one who is crazy? School is going fine too but I still have some bad study habits from the past that I need to figure out. I haven't started going for runs yet, I've been quite busy recently so that will have to wait a bit 😂
  16. Sounds good, well done! Walking is nice, but the problem for me is that I usually have to walk at least about 2-3 hours until I start feeling like I've excersized properly, and most days I don't have time for that so I'm looking for something more vigorous (this wasn't a problem when I was working manual jobs where I would be on my feet for pretty much the whole shift, that's not really a thing anymore now with university). 40 mins walking is still good though and for sure much better than nothing. Edit: I've also noticed that you can learn to enjoy walking in really shit weather if you dress properly (e.g waterproof coat and rubber boots with 2 socks layered to keep socks dry and you feel invincible from the rain :D). It's a bit of an adjustment but possible. I've noticed that proper excersize for sure lessens mental fog and makes you feel better on the mental health front and in general 😀. That's my main motivation for the excersize challenge, I don't care as much about looking better etc. compared to that.
  17. Swimming is really nice! I love the feeling of gliding through water. I wish there was something similar without the chlorine (I like lake swimming but that's a summer thing). Maybe I just have to get over it and go anyway 😛 Sounds good in almost any context 😄 I don't mind running on a nice trail (not tarmac, preferably in the woods with fresh air), but my problem has usually been that I'm tempted to start walking and enjoy the scenery. There's no similar "gear down" in swimming, you're either swimming or you are not swimming, you can't half swim 😛
  18. @FreedoMArrr! That's for sure the right approach on the online streets! 🦜🏴‍☠️ I got my late salary today finally, so that's the end of having to withdraw from Unibet 🥳. In total I withdrew 850€. I have to be quite grateful for running good at the right time! I was glad to get back to the SNG streets today (25€ HU and 5 man) and even happier to have a nice profitable session (about 200€ profit). My bankroll is 609.21€, so my bankroll would be 1459.21€ without any withdrawals. At this point I'm not sure if there is any point in depositing back, because I'm mostly playing the stakes that I would play anyway (maybe I would be taking shots at 50€ SNG if I had 1459€, but I might do it soon anyway 😂). I haven't had a proper losing session in a while (barely any break-even ones either). I'm trying to stay mindful that running this well isn't normal. It's always quite hard to know exactly how you are running, and it's easy to start thinking that you are better/worse than you really are. I noticed recently that I have been a little more tired than usual. I think it's probably some combination of the lessening sunlight, not exercising enough, and being quite busy in general. I might start some sort of challenge for myself to exercise more and more regularly. Probably it would be running/gym (I used to enjoy swimming quite a lot, but nowadays I don't like how the chlorine dries your skin), but I have to think about it a bit more.
  19. 7.5% rake is completely insane even for micro stakes. I've never heard of this Sky Raker site and I can see why, with that rake and interface. 😂 Impressive! I don't think I could 8 table profitably (even in SNGs).
  20. Got some decent stacks going in NL 10 while no SNG were running (only about 30€ profit in the end though, I have a high variance style and was running bad earlier in the session 😂)
  21. I think the prize pool variance is so insane that it's easy to think you are much better or worse than you really are (also I don't mind discussing hands/strategy though I'm not claiming to be an expert :p) Nice goal number 1 and nice progress with the BR so far! For goal number 2: I personally think ITM% is pretty meaningless. Interestingly if you look at Metalwolfs blog in sone of his old posts he has a high ITM % but lower ROI (nowadays it seems to be the other way round). I think within a certain range ITM% mostly just measures how nitty/aggro you are.
  22. Ok! That makes sense. I wonder if in an alternate universe full ring wasn't the standard live (and instead it was something shorthanded), would anyone think of playing it. I don't think so. I also found some old post on Twoplustwo from 2008 where someone was ranting about how it was terrible that Partypoker and "Fullrakepoker" had moved to 6 max (in 2005) and how it's just a rake grab by the sites, and before that both full ring and shorthanded (3-4 players) was flourishing. It was a pretty interesting read from a historical sense (I don't know how accurate though 😂) https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showpost.php?p=5711528&postcount=17
  23. Must be a misclick. 😂 Although he was blocking flushes, good blockers 🤔😅 I remember playing someone in Banzai heads up long time ago who would regularly make calks with 7 high and other BS, I kind of felt a bit sorry for them.
  24. Heads up would be great! It could be a shootout tournament so there wouldn't be any table balancing to think about, and the devs could copy paste a lot of the HU SNG code. Also, I'm all for decreasing the table size down from full boring.😅 Why doesn't Unibet delete these old pages? Lots of wrong rake info etc. out there too, published by Unibet.
  25. It's been a while since my last post, and seems like the forum has really come alive, nice to see! I have enjoyed university quite a lot so far 😃. It's been very interesting but it has also been really busy, so not much time for poker. I'm trying to be a better student than I was in the past. I still have barely unpacked many of the boxes after moving, though there isn't much motivation to unpack, because I probably need to move again in a few months. I have also been waking up around 8 am every morning like a responsible adult 😄. That used to be almost impossible for me to maintain, maybe I should be worried that I'm getting old. 😂 I decided to play the 100€ Supernova on Sunday (I had 2 tickets for it from satellites). It was a pretty bad experience ,because I was quite tired on Sunday and it lasted long (I was really tired the next day). A 2 day tournament is a pretty big commitment though and I don't know when next I will have time on both Sunday and Monday. My fault for playing the satellites I guess 😂 I was also playing some 25€ SNG at the same time to stay focused in the tournament, and it was kind of frustrating break-even session (I didn't play so good I think). I don't have a proper ergonomic setup yet, so I was getting quite uncomfortable towards the end. In the end I busted close to the bubble. I lost two all ins in a row with AQo. Maybe one of them was a bit of an ICM punt, I went all in against a minraise from UTG+2 who had about 15 BB (I was in UTG+3 with 24 BB, it was 8 handed close to the bubble, and they called with AKs). Honestly I'm not sure how I should've played the AQ hand. Folding seems a bit nitty. If I 3bet to 6 BB I'm probably pot committed against UTG+2 whenever they shove. But if I 3bet to 6 BB and some other bigstack player shoves I can probably fold, so maybe it is much better (but on the other hand I give players the chance to shove with hands that would fold when I jam myself). Or maybe villain is opening a very tight range that will go all in usually anyway and I should just fold AQo so near to the bubble? I still have one more 100€ supernova ticket. It would be cool if it was possible to exchange for a tournament ticket that runs earlier in the day, but I'm guessing it's not. Also I don't understand why most tournaments are still full ring. Do tournament players enjoy folding? What is the allure of sitting around for hours watching yourself fold almost every hand? Why the hell are most tournaments not 6, or even 5 handed? I don't get it 😂. Someone please explain. Are cash games 6-max only because it generates more rake for poker sites? I get full ring in live poker because you need to hire dealers, but online I don't get it.... I had to withdraw a bit more (200€) from Unibet, I'm still waiting for my late salary (coming on Friday). So in the end I was left with about 300€. I decided to play as if I still had 1000€ in my account, because the plan is to redeposit most or all of it soon anyway. I have been playing some 25€ SNG (both types) rarely when I have time and got my balance up to 544.40€. So I shouldn’t really complain too much I guess 😅
