How long are you out of the country for? More than 6 months? You can respond in a PM if you want and I can make sure the account will not get closed for that. 

What comes to VPN, please don't use it. As long as we're aware about the conditions it's ok to use your .ro account from abroad as long as you are still registered as a resident there. So bear in mind, there might come some additional account verification requests such as proof of address.

You should receive an email once a document is either approved or rejected with the reason as well. Due to high number of documents we are receiving at the moment it might take a bit longer than usually.
