Built starting stack up to 6.5k before I think I totally butchered a hand with AQ to bust. I was in the top 25% of chips at the time. I had AQ in the BB and the CO raised 4x. I shipped in 30 bbs PF and he snapped with AK. I didn't like raise-folding and obviously folding was out of the question so I ended up shoving. Don't like my play so shame we didn't get lucky :Rofl: Not sure how bad that was but whatevs. Didn't want any free money anyway!I played a little for the challenges today, winning my €1 UKPT woo. They're so much better now that the levels are slower. Not sure what my ROI is in those but it's definelty imrpoved since structure changed. So now I have 5 semi final tickets. This week I'm hoping to turn those into a finals ticket and on Saturday we can go again for a UKPT package :Cheeky:Over on Stars theyre running the mini PSPC. $25 buyin no rake plus $8k added to prizepool, $1k added to first place and its a 5 day event. So I decided to play that. I made day 2 with north of 115k chips from 60k starting stack :Happy: I actually closed the tourny early by accident thinking we had finished for the day. I had 118k when I logged out, what an actual idiot :Rofl: Despite a few beats I played really well and was good value for my 118k. Who knows what I missed! Silver1 Posted January 7, 2019 Share Posted January 7, 2019 Sorry to hear about the 10K free-roll. I don’t personally like shoving for 30BB in a situation like that with AQ. Maybe it isn’t that bad but is AQ to strong of a hand to put in our calling range there? I think I go for a call and play the hand post flop. We can land in some messy spots but we should also do pretty well against his opening range from CO. Not a standard play but it’s the substitute when opponent 4x pre. Would have had 1.3m and a place in the top 20 with less than 400 runners.On the plus side I grinded out the next pay jump. $79.36 for my efforts. Finished 336/4402.Really gutted. Had to get a 5 way family pot and fortunately 4 people had already put 12c before it came to me in the SB and despite the 46o it was a snap fist pump call :Rofl: Easily the most I've won on free spins before a huge amount for my roll. I think I'm going to move back up to €2 SNG's now I'm rolled again. It was fun to play €1 again, reminds me how far I've already come! Rest of this week however will be focusing on completing the cash game challenges and trying to upgrade my UKPT tickets! I've now got a $85 roll on stars which is cool as ive built that up from just $1 on 888 and then Stars. Ill use that for the one off MTT's when I fancy one (like my NY resolution). Went up almost €4 at 4NL before losing it all in a series of beats. Lost a 70/30, a 85/15 and a 56/43 all in allins to the same fun player worth over €12. Then I won it all back and then some in a huge cooler. Then I won 3 straight UKPT €4 tickets. Finally I bubbled the last €4 UKPT ticket pretty standard fashion. So roll and tickets have increased today.
