Double KO

Chip leader Michael Gilbert has just extended his chip lead after taking out both Jorge Reyes, and Katrarina Khytushko in a hand that saw all three of them all in on the flop!

Khytushko: Jx 9x

Gilbert: A♥️ 7♥️

Reyes: 3♣️ 3♦️

The flop was J♥️ 7♠️ 3♥️ and all three were all in as we saw a turn and river, which were a 2♥️ and 6♥️, meaning that Michael scored the double knockout and Katarina and Jorge were sent to the rail in 5th and 4th place respectively.

Payouts:

Jorge Reyes - £4,060

Katarina Khytushko - £2,920

Chip count update

We are still three handed here in Manchester, and Michael Gilbert is still an overwhelming chip leader.

Michael Gilbert - 4,100,000

Adrian @FeelsBadMan Nica - 900,000

Bartlohiej Grabowski - 650,000

Everyone in the Unibet community will be routing for their very own @FeelsBadMan, who is 2nd in chips right now but lets hope he can get the win! Take it down @FeelsBadMan!!!!!

Scratch that - we're heads up!

We are down to two here in Manchester.

Bartlohiej Grabowski has busted in 3rd place for £5,460, GG sir. This means Adrian @FeelsBadMan Nica and Michael Gilbert are heads up for the £12,300 up top, plus the Manchester leg crown!

This also means that @FeelsBadMan is the longest lasting qualifier, and so as a result, has won himself a package to the next Unibet Open in London next February!

Well done Adrian, now take it down!!

Michael Gilbert - 4,800,000

Adrian Nica - 900,000

We have a winner!

38250245474_019d664b90_o.thumb.jpg.95db4573f5ca29deea2295a5fd4d9413.jpgMichael Gilbert has taken down the Manchester leg of the Unibet UK Poker Tour here at the 235 Casino.

After making it through to Day 2 with 83,500, he managed to beat the rest of the 55 players remaining on Day 2 as well as the 225 entrants over the two Day 1's.

The final hand saw Adrian @FeelsBadMan Nica limp the his button at 32,000bb, and Michael raised all-in only for Adrian to snap call.

Adrian Nica: A:Clubs: 9:Hearts:

Michael Gilbert: 7:Clubs: 8:Clubs:

The board came:

Q:Diamonds: 8:Spades: 3:Clubs: 2:Hearts: 7:Hearts: and with his pair of eights, Michael was the winner.

A 'local lad' as they say, 23 year-old Michael is actually from Didsbury which is on the outskirts of Manchester, and he plays his live poker here at the 235 Casino. When catching up with him, he had this to say about his win:

"I'm really pleased I got the win, I play my live poker here at this casino so to win a major tour event like this is amazing."

Well played and congrats to him on winning £12,300 and having the title of Unibet UK Tour Manchester winner.

Now we've talked about the winner, it's time to talk about the runner-up.38962030521_70f6b5f1bc_o.thumb.jpg.edc53ef66201b760c6afe97db4e73545.jpg

Adrian @FeelsBadMan Nica came 2nd after yet another great UK Tour run. He takes home £7,650 and another 2nd place finish, after he finished 2nd in Nottingham earlier in the year.

Adrian will also be thrilled to have won another Unibet Open package, this time to London which is due to take place next February. So he might have come 2nd, but all in all I think Adrian will be extremely pleased with his result here in Manchester. Well played man!

Unibet UK Tour Manchester Overview

38930461662_7ce8dfc486_o.thumb.jpg.0cf229405cc493ba69c9314a78eef8f0.jpgSo, after three long days of poker, the Unibet UK Tour Manchester leg is finally over. And with that, so is the Unibet UK Tour for 2017.

unibet-uk-poker-tour-2017---manchester-day-1a-038_24058623827_o.thumb.jpg.46cb532e716b791d917abaadfcc58ec9.jpgWe began Day 1A on Friday evening with 113 entrants and 28 players making it through to Day 2. Then Day 1B came on Saturday afternoon with 112 entrants and 27 players making it through, making a total of 55 players throught to Day 2 today.

Unibet poker ambassadors Dara O'Kearney and Espen Jorstad managed to make the money after running and playing well throughout Day 2, with Espen getting 11th place for £680 and Doke making the FT and earning £910 for 9th place. That made it three cashes from three for Doke - good job!

A rather quick final table then saw 23 year-old local player Michael Gilbert take down the top prize of £12,300 and title of Manchester leg winner after a great run on Day 2. He also wins himself a Unibet Open package for London next February. Well played Michael, a deserved winner.

She came 5th for £2,920 which is a fantastic result considering she super late regd on Day 1B!

Commiserations and congratulations were in o38962030521_70f6b5f1bc_o.thumb.jpg.2c464fc7b6b5bac595381c2b3b1be80d.jpgrder for our 2nd place finisher Adrian @FeelsBadMan Nica, as he took home £7,650 for his finish but he would have been hoping to better his Nottingham result which was also 2nd place!

However, he won a Unibet Open package to London also for being the longest lasting qualifier in the field. So all in all, a great result for him. Well played @FeelsBadMan. I've heard the beers are on him upstairs??? ;)

Also - big shoutout to the Tournament Director for the event Doug Leonard, who not only ran a great and professional event here in Manchester, but was also very helpful from a blogging point of view. So thanks Doug!

Finally, thanks to all the Unibet team for being great as always, and thanks to you guys - the readers! I hope you enjoyed my coverage over the last few days, I know I did!

It's a real pleasure to cover these events for you guys and I hope to see you all again real soon!

Until next time!

Josh

Fantastic event, loved the community atmosphere and playing against such a competitive field. Wp all and I look forward to the next time I make it to a stop. On that note I realised I had a unibet account but hadn't setup a poker account anyway and hoping I haven't left value on the table by making myself ineligible for the package that came with the win or the ticket for knocking out Espen, still a bit on edge I think if someone could shoot me a reply that would be fantastic. Also brilliant coverage from bloggers and photographers. Regards Mike Gilbert
