    UK Tour?

I understand the issues and concerns of the existing set up, therefore, it would have made more sense to scrap the existing tour and start this new venture afresh. You could have changed the buy in and structures for all London events and It may be worth considering having online day 1. I'm amazed at the failure to simplefy and revamp live events offerings online.
  2. 15th in the main and the mini. @mastah4 how did you get on in the cash games.
  3. Last night i luckboxed my way to day 2 of IPO Dublin. It was close to midnight and its my little girls birthday the next day. At midnight i give her a hug and tell her the good news. Her smile turns to concern as she tells me its Diwali on sunday, moms gonna kill you. Now i have to tell mom she has to get up at an ungodly hour on Diwali to drop me at the airport for an over priced flight. Also turns out the hotels are either booked or crazy prices. Im looking forward to booking a park bench. For those old enough im in need a hamlet cigar.
  4. Most people wont bother to qualify for an event with zero expenses attached. Unibet have an opportunity to be creative ,revamp and rebrand qualifying to live events that would entice existing players and bring much needed new custom. Start with a blank paper and a new fresh approach. Think outside the box. People are bound by the fear of diminishing markets. Now is the time to think new and find a creative pathway.

    IPO

@Leo-Unibet I wish i was that good.lol. I would love to try for Dublin but im reticent to commit to these sats and others similar on the schedule. Overall poker market is suffering. Im aware Unibet had a very difficult year and accountants views make life very difficult. At the moment the fear of cost overtakes the rationale to invest. The demise of others means now is the time to argue for radical changes, to revamp and invest. Sometimes i start writing and become too lazy to stop so before it turns into a 10k word thesis ill stop. Hopefully, health permitting, ill see you in Manchester.

    IPO

@Leo-Unibet @Patric-Unibet First, IPO with online day 1 is a great move forward. It allows players with a limited budget for expenses to mitigate costs and working players to mitigate available time. I hope it will be incorporated in other live event offerings. You may wish to promote these in manner to encourage online qualification as tool for brand awareness and growth. As to R/A, I understand your desire to increase the guarantees and an even bigger desire to limit costs. Using R/A tournaments to short ratiio satellites has the undesired effects of running with small player pools and crucially, disuading new entrants from joining and/or retention.

    IPO

Is it possible to have an IPO tree withour R/A.
  8. @Stubbe-Unibet Respectfully disgree sir. The person writing the contract cannot injudicially interprete for his or her (or they in the case of sam smith) benefit. I woke up late cos i had a good night at poker....why you do this to me.
  9. @Stubbe-Unibet Its a difficult one for sure, hate it when it happens. People join supernova and run clock down from the start. But, what can you do if they are not breaking rules. Lets put it another way. The guy speeds his play after warning and loses 500. He makes a complaint you interfered with his decision making and its cost him money, please give me a refund. Easier with a tech solution. HU games with a 5 sec timer, maybe. Its a more profitable solution.
  10. @FeelsBadMan is playing way too many tables and winning way too much. Can someone send him a warning to STOP it. Unibet reserves the right to ban anyone without giving notice , but if you ban someone for following t&cs you might get into a serious pickle.
  11. I'll be there. Will be great to see some old friends and make some new ones.
  12. @Stubbe-Unibet I presume this refers to myself as i cannot see tournys in lobby. What am i missing.
  13. @MetalWolf Dont forget my 20%. Ill take it in guiness cans.
  14. @triceraatopp In malta for the festival. Will go to Manchester as have a few packages left over. Prob wont be going to Dunblin. Catch you in Manchester.
  15. @WuDu Agreed @triceraatopp If you have 91% roi then your killing everyone and your the problem. 😛 Are you going to be in Malta next week. Ubo used to be very successful.6 packages gtd on a Sunday and mostly going well over. It has been in a decline for some time now. There are many and varied reasons. Relax, communication, software limitations, live events team, bugs, planning etc. I understand the maths behind current thinking of cost per end ticket. The maths is a singular application and does not take into account the ecology of the poker system. Nor does it tell you the opportunity cost of the maths. Personally, i played less when tix exchanges were reduced. It will have the same impact again. As @WuDu explains above. We should also acknowledge that poker team are working with their hands tied. Poker is a small part of the overall business and that creates limitations. Tournament side of poker does not pay the bills and when suits look at costs, they would want those costs reduced. Communication between a company and its customers is vitally important and that's one area that could and should improve. Moving forward, I hope there is more positive announcements on Unibets direction of travel.
  16. I forgot to mention, i got home to an unhappy mrs. She had seen the pics online and first thing she says is "I told you to have a haircut". Even a big fat cheque doesnt get you out of trouble.
  17. @MetalWolf Thanks for the kind words. Great event and a great venue. The Scotts have a wonderull sense of humour and some were just plain poker nutters. Its worth going just for the banter. It was great to play on a table with so many community members and old friends. @jonny2192 must be the unluckiest live event player ever. Twice rivered with huge hands. @FeelsBadMan killed it close to the bubble. There was a sense of pride knocking the great man out after all the bullying. @Hymn2Ninkasi and girlfriend Lise both getting close to the money, I suggested a prop bet for last longest between the two but quite wisely Espen refused. Lise won the last longest between them. I imagine thats a recurring problem for Espen. My best/worst moment was protecting my big blind against an opponent whom i knew was getting busy with his big stack. I called his raise with 63. Flop 3,10,j. I reraised his bet and got called. Turn was 4, a bet by me gets called again. River i think was a 2. I carried on and made a big bet. The other guy went into thinking mode for about 5 mins. This was that rollercoaster moment when your sitting down and it takes you to the highest point, pausing before that big drop where your brain goes into meltdown. Wtf am i doing here, do i really need to be here, this was a stupid idea. He finally passes and a huge sigh of relief. The final table, only 1 short stacked who became chip leader in a short space of time. I think i played fairly well. My one bit of luck was aq flip to 1010. A on the river. I would say @MetalWolf was probably best player on the final table, making some great calls but the poker gods not always on his side. When down to 4 players, twice @MetalWolf shoved all in to my raise and both times i passed a pair. 22 was easy but 77 was a little harder. Both times it was the right call as he showed aces and kings. It was a shove fest at this stage and thats not something i shy away from. We had decided to split ubo packages for winner and last longest if one of us won it, so the pressure was still on hu. I had a huge lead and i made it count. Will be great to see @MetalWolf in Bucharest. Dont forget my 20%.
  18. When @Leo-Unibet promises you a pic with a dolly bird. Always double check your hand before going all in.
  19. There may be regulatory issue with this solution.
  20. @MoreTBC Congrats bud, an all in that finally paid off. Have you come up with any poker related names for the wee one. Lots of community guys coming to scotland for uk tour. If you find out who the father is, we can help you kick the crap out of him.

    Milky Way

@JeppeL @Leo-Unibet No €50 Milky way main today, is this by design. Lots of sats to main available today.
  22. No, I forgot im no good at playing more than 4 tables. Will have to rething strategy tomorrow.
  23. @Leo-Unibet We can use supernova tix for the events but not for the uos sats. Seems a bit weird. Would appreciate if this anomoly can be addressed. The more sats we can play, the more games get started, less overlay. etc
