Confirmed Day 1A numbers

A total of 68 entries were received on Day 1A of the Unibet Poker UK Tour Nottingham.

Of that 68, there are 40 still at the tables with a stack as we approach the last four levels of the day.

All six of the Unibet ambassadors remain, with Ian, Daiva, Ben and David Lappin all on table 10.

Who will be the table boss?

We lose DaVitsche!

The first of the ambassadors has unfortunately bitten the dust.

David Vanderheyden got it in good with AQ vs A5 but couldn’t hold and lost to a rivered wheel for the villain.

GG David, hopefully better luck tomorrow!

In other Ambassador news, Daiva has significantly increased her stack after re-shoving over an 11bb shove with 99 and holding vs A5.

More updates to come as the day gets into the later stages.

Doke is done for.

Dara 'Doke' O'Kearney is the second Unibet ambassador to depart this evening. He lost a massive race with AQ suited after jamming his 22bb stack over the top an initial raise and call. He got one caller who tabled 77 and held, leaving Doke with just two big blinds. He managed to find A10 and moved all-in.

Doke was in good shape versus Willie 'HensiePensie' Hens who called with A2. But a deuce on the flop and no help on the turn and river sealed the Chip Race co-host's fate.

The play is into level nine with 35 people left and an average stack of 48k. 444069300_UnibetUKPokerTour2017-NottinghamDay1a(c)TambetKask-053.thumb.jpg.904a0cd7ea67c3bf5693450927aa14a2.jpg

Double Ambassador KO!

We have lost two ambassadors here in Nottingham...in the same hand!

Daiva Byrne and Ian Simpson have been knocked out after both of them managed to get in their very similar combo draws against an overpair.

All three players were all-in on the flop, Daiva held 6, while Ian held 8 5 and Mark Shelley who had them both covered had Qx Qx on a 9x 3 7 flop.

The turn came a black 7, and the river was a king of hearts, meaning Mark Shelley took a massive pot and scooped both bounties that lay on both ambassadors' heads. So well done to Mark Shelley who not only has a good position for the rest of Day 1A, but also has 2x €100 online satellite tickets to use on the Unibet client.

A great turn of fortune for Mark, who only a couple levels before was on the brink of busting the tournament when he got it in 77 v 99 and hit a two outer on the turn to survive - and now he is the chip leader with around 220,000 in chips.

"This game can be funny some times!" said Daiva after the bust out.

Do you get it in like the ambassadors did here with this combo draw? Let us know your thoughts.

Level 10 begins!

Level 10 is up and running which signals the start of the final three 40-minute levels of Day 1A.

As Josh just reported, our current chip leader is Mark Shelley with a massive 220,000. Elsewhere in the room, Danny Rohrbasser is playing a stack just shy of 140,000.

With 31 players remaining the average stack is 58k and just two bounties remain on the heads of ambassadors Ben Tahvonen and David Lappin. 1106470621_UnibetUKPokerTour2017-NottinghamDay1a(c)TambetKask-057.thumb.jpg.470cc25d68db854edd652f8ef8743b8f.jpg

Lappin takes down a nice pot

David Lappin is one of two remaining Unibet Ambassadors and has just won a decent sized pot against the chip leader Mark Shelley.

Lappin managed to extract value from top pair with A2 suited on a T 5 3 A 7 board after Mark had raised Lappin’s bet on the flop.

David bet 6.5k on the river to which Mark tank called and David showed his A2 which Mark couldn’t beat.

We’re getting towards the final stages of Day 1A here in Nottingham with 30 players remaining.

We lose Willie in level 11.

It had been a strong day's play for Willie Elliot so far, but we lose him during level 11.

He was down to his final 7bbs and in the big blind when the action folded to the player in the small blind, who moved all-in.

Willie made the call, tabling J9 off and needing to hit versus the SB's Q4 suited.

The board was no help to Willie, running out 10 4 2 5 A. We hope to see him return for a second shot of making Sunday's final day tomorrow at 1 pm.

The play is now 10 minutes into the penultimate level of Day 1A with 25 players still in with last a chance of lasting all 12 levels. 802579174_UnibetUKPokerTour2017-NottinghamDay1a(c)TambetKask-064.thumb.jpg.bbde38ba70e451a51994cca92bc347d1.jpg

Unibet ambassador Ben Tahvonen has doubled-up in the early stages of tonight's final level.

Facing an all-in from the player in UTG position, Ben moved his final 7bb into the middle and showed A♥10♥. His opponent was behind with A9o.

The flop was a scary one for Ben, with all spades falling K Q 6. With his opponent holding the A of spades he had to dodge a spade and a nine to survive, and luckily for him, he did as the 4 of diamonds and 10 of clubs came on the turn and river.

He will still be looking to increase his stack significantly in the remaining 30 minutes as he sits with 15bb.
