@Pionrj  I think you may be confusing units. It looks to me like they are playing in cents, so there is a total on the table of 15,545 cents or €155.45, an average between 6 players of €25.90, just an average amount early in the game.    ... View more

"The cost of kindness" My daughter rang me up today and asked if I'd had my lunch and did I want a surprise as she was out shopping. I said yes please so she turned up an hour later with a takeaway meal as a treat, lovely. I had my meal, very nice, had a little snooze and completely forgot about a bet I had planned at the races. Checking when I remembered, it had won at 6/1. What can you say?  ... View more

I don't know what it is about putting personal challenges out in the public domain but at least in my case it always seems to bring doom and gloom. The horseracing is a fairly typical one, last December I backed about 60 horses, got a few winners and made a small profit. As soon as I start to make the selections public the winners dry up. The same with the roulette. I win fairly steadily and consistently but as soon as I publish the results I hit the sequence from hell. Somehow it seems to be a balancing act slipped in by variance to keep you getting too big for your boots. I'm going to take a risk and say the poker's been going fairly well so far this year, at least the UK and UO qualifiers, we'll see if I can now hit a downward spiral on that, while the cash game ticket is already in freefall after reaching the dizzying heights of €60 ahead.  Maybe I should keep quiet about results and only announce them after hitting the target, but leading a sad and lonely existence while racking up masses of wins somehow seems a bit less fun.  TODAY TOMORROW ... ...........................and where it lands, nobody knows. Or do they?  I've touched on the subject of roulette in my blog but it seems to be a neglected subject here on Unibet although seemingly a very popular game. It's 5 o'clock in the morning here in the UK and already quite a few players on the tables, as there always are through the night.  There are only 4 on the UB table at the moment but over a hundred on the popular Immersive table, surprisingly a few on the double zero American table which gives worse odds, and over a thousand on the lightning version. Yes, you can hit big payouts but over the long run it can't be better surely, only paying 29/1 for a straight up number. I've never bothered to find the true payout % as I intuitivly know it must be worse.  Then there are the automatic tables and speed tables, always very popular, including the Auto-Roulette La Partage, the table I'm running this latest trial on. This is done purely as a matter of conveniance. I do prefer live studio tables, about 80 spins per hour and live casino feeds but they can be very slow at times. I'm not one for the super fast ways to get rid of your money (Hexanono) but hopefully I'm going to build this challenge over the long run and move on to higher stakes on slower tables over time. So on to the challenge. I did start this on New Year's day but didn't post it for various reasons, and it's gone very well so far and I'm well in front of schedule already, so it's time for details.  Day 1:    Win 1 unit.  Day 2:  Win 2 units.  Day 3:  Win 3 units. And so on and so on. By my calculations that means after 31 days of February I hope to be 496 units in profit, though targets will remain fluid and may be increased as the challenge progresses. I don't consider I have to hit the exact daily target as long as the overall total is ahead, so a bad day or two will not halt the action and give time for a recovery. I've played around with roulette for quite a while now, never really taking it very seriously, but have put a lot of time and effort into it over the last few months of isolation and feel now is the time to see just what the possibilities are. The unit stakes start at 10p, the bankroll is a modest £30, that is 300 units, a modest start but the sky really is the limit. DAY 5.  Total Target  15 units, achieved 88 units. Total bet:  £30.80, Return Profit £8.80, Profit %, 28.57. So far so good.  You may notice day 3 was a much higher amount bet than the others. This was not exactly chasing losses but one of those (thankfully getting rarer) periods when I didn't stick to the plan and went chasing some fanciful notion I had. I managed to get it under control before too much damage was done, went back to the plan and promised myself not to do it again. This was one of the reasons I didn't post, the figures went askew, but lets get the whole thing out there, warts and all.  Wealth warning: Tilt can be all consuming and do a lot of damage.  Daily updates to follow. Happy Punting everyone.                    ... View more

Thanks @XY  and @nightshopper  I did think a while before writing on this sort of subject in what on the whole is a positive community, people do get fed up of bad beats or sob stories, even very personal ones.  I try to be as positive as possible but sometimes bad news is bad rather than just a nuisance and things need keeping in perspective. I'm a fatalist at heart, not exactly giving up on things but having to accept what's thrown at you and deal with it the best way you can. Hopefully happier times ahead, new challenges and more positivity.  I'm a few days behind whatever passes for a schedule but I'm continuing my latest challenge tomorrow in a new thread. ... NEW YEAR NEW CHALLENGES. I'm going to start with the bad news first before going onto more positive matters, not to dismiss it or moan how it affected my life but to get a bit of perspective. I went into lockdown late last March and struggled with a few things, mainly shopping which was virtually impossible on line. Help from a friend of my daughters eased matters and I found ways of keeping busy, building a rockery among them. My friend and neighbour Brian helped, sadly his wife had passed away leaving us both on our own, and as covid restrictions eased we settled into a routine of late night shopping every ten days or so and helped each other in our gardens. Then he sprang the surprise he was going on a holiday to Malta, he still had a few weeks of a time share left which he hadn't been using due to his wife's inability to travel. Even more surprising he asked if I wanted to go, and after a very brief discussion plans were made. The apartment and flights were booked for late October and my new passport applied for and eventually received, but then the insurance company cancelled it's cover after government updates. We managed to rebook for March this year but then sadly Brian became ill and passed away, a major shock for all.  My grandson Charlie and son-in-law visited me one Sunday but then on the Monday Charlie became ill, they and my daughter all took covid tests on Tuesday and were all confirmed as cases on the Wednesday, so I was advised to go into total self isolation for 14 days, a very worrying time. They were all quite poorly for 3 weeks and are still recovering, though Phil is back at work and Charlie is due back at school next week, but that may not happen just yet. I haven't spoken to anyone in person for more than 6 weeks now so had a very quiet Christmas and New Year, and now it's just a matter of carry on waiting for further developments. There have been personal side issues due to all this but nothing of major importance compared to the other happenings, a sad time for many.  I have the news on in the background and it looks like tougher measures still are coming in, so still a long way off getting through these worrying times.  So I'm taking this as a time to wish everyone a better year and hope we see better times ahead.    ... Apologies possibly the first moan of the new year but still old problems. Today's streaker questions, one from a match today, the other from a match on SUNDAY. If I answer Sunday's question do I have to wait 2 days for my streak to continue? Do I get a chance to answer tomorrow's question? What is going on with this promo? Will it ever be run professionally? Does anyone ever look at a calendar? My current streak is two. TWO! The tension is unbearable. I can't stand it, I just want to be able to play a game with no issues.  @ReCorpH  If you're all having a break, that's fine, I'll go sit in a corner and wait.  ... View more

Hi @Yarka When the ticket is issued it has an exact lengh of time to run, down to the hour, so if it was issued say at 2 o'clock in the afternoon it will expire at 2 in the afternoon on the due date. Betting freeroll tickets usually cover two tournaments so if you don't use them for 1 of those they expire.  ... View more

Purely for the record. Flips tickets available. 75 bronze, 8 silver, 2 gold, leading to 123 flips.  Started behind in 65/123. Of the 65 I was dealt in behind, won 24 lost 41, a win rate of 36.9%                             Winning run 4, losing run 16. Of the 58 I was dealt in ahead, won 30 lost 28, so only a hold rate of 51.7%              Winning run 4, losing run 3. Overall won 54, lost 69 winning 43.9% with a winning run of 7 and losing (I think) 5 or 6 in a row. Not too far off expectation but as with my poker losing too many all ins when ahead.  I won about 1400 points and 1 x €1 Hexanono ticket, although at one stage I won 7 flips in a row but had bailed out early.        ... @MadAdo Thankyou, I did call exactly for your reasons, it's either win a ticket pretty quick or out with a bang, I'm just wondering what others would do!  @FreedoM Precisely because it is a €1 ticket and crazy stuff does happen, I called. Villain 1 called as well so it's exactly that, 3 of us left playing for two tickets, one of us with a huge stack. Who'd have guessed eh?      ... View more
