Great idea @triceraatopp lets do it! 😀

I think you do yourself a disservice. Lots of people are interested in how you're getting on and you had loads of love for your win in Dublin!

I get why you think that about better players and blogs etc (and I really don't class myself as that good, above average at best) but for me it's just about inspiring people to give it a go, play poker, and have a laugh. I don't really try to compete with the best that Unibet has to offer and never feel I have anything to prove. I think the majority of unibet players, and those on this forum would class themselves as nano / low players and I like to prove it is possible to do this kind of thing from those stakes. Poker gives me opportunity to do things I can't do on my working wage, and go places I would never think of going otherwise. I made 2 UK Tour final tables from €4 sats and had a UO cash from a free seat in a last longer comp. This time I'm in for a bit more spending €20 in the 10 rebuy on a Monday but overall it's amazing really and I love sharing my adventures with the community that helps me keep focused on becoming a better player. Not just stories from the table but the other shenenigans I get up to, as well.  I do my best to meet new people but I like to think i come across as just a regular guy who loves the game and loves a laugh.

I am very much looking forward to MK and will be giving updates where I can!

I couldent agree more, my normal blogg i all about me starting out, trying to improve and its was just my nervosity for live events making me feel that way I think :) Whish is stupied since that is how most people startign out feel and it therefore would be really good to write about.

Yeah the love and cheers in Dublin was absolutle amaysing and im getting way more comferteble with the whole live thingy :) Looking forward alot to MK and it will be really fun trying to make live updates so it gets more alive for the people who are not attending and can help inspire new players to qualify! As you said, its definatly possible for any sized bankroll :)

  2. @triceraatopp I'm all good, just been taking a few holidays on top of being presented with some new community features in London early in the week :)

Sorry for the lack of communication to all, the Winners SNG will surely take place with everyone who won last month - is next Sunday the best day for this?

As for the raffle, I think that everyone who played should get a €5 ticket for next week :)

Å Im really glad to hear @JeppeL :D  And im very sure everybody will be more then pleaced with a 5 ticket!

Regarding the winners sng, could I suggest to have it any day but the sunday pleace? Sundays are already so crowded since all the majors, UO final etc is then so I would be very very glad if we could choose another day.

  3. I think you are making really good points here @psrquack, I wasnt in Sinaia but know that Im guilty of not contributing with any updates from dublin or bucharest earlier in the year. Personaly it bcs I feel like "why would anybody be interested in what i write, there is so many better players there, someone els will do that much better" , you know. But I really agree that it so fun to get updates on community members, big hands, stack sizes etc.

I really liked the I live blog @GR1ZZL3R  made from Dublin. I will try to make a little live blog from the next Uk tour in Milton Keyns :) I know its not the same as UO but I think there i quite some community members going there and it would be really nice to have a blog like and hopefully other members who want can share their stacksizes/ hands they played/photos/fun things. Its not posible to make to many updates while playing since there is so few breaks, but some short things is always manageble :) I know that the king of trip reports @MetalWolf will be going to Milton K aswell so mayby we together can do an effort to make some live updates and see if others will tag along aswell?:)

Have I missed winners SNG? @JeppeL

    Monthly Winners SNG:

At the end of each month, all winners of Community Poker tournaments get the opportunity to face of in a "Winners sitn'go", that'll feature UO or UOS ticket as prizes.

No you havent @McCallister, neither me or @Causality have got any info about it yet either so it prob been delayed some. I dont no the reason but If I speculate  think it might be due to Jeppe getting injured when skiing in Sinaia :(

He posted about it in the Sinaia thread and altough, from what i understood, he seemed to be without all to serious injuries he got a concussion and had problems with pain in his neck so I wouldent be suppriced if he need some time of work for recovery.

Or its some other unrelated reason. Im sure we havent missed it so either way it should be comming up soon :)

  5. Hi!

I have a couple questions about my uk tickets, i should be holding 2 packages, one for milton k and one that i won the 5th january that was said to be for manchester bcs the stops clear yet. I wounder, am i able to win another packages for milton k or does the "manchester" packages count towards the max 2/stop?

Second question is that i was going to glasgow in july last year but unfortunatly had to late cancel, I should therefore still have a unused seat ticket, can I use that for milton k or other stop this year instead?

    Thanks :)

Haha I do think so to @Leo-Unibet but thats kinda been the thing every six weeks last year ;)

Anyway, Im not blaming you in any way, Im very sure you tryed to make it as good as possible with the road the company want to take. Hopefully we will see more freezeouts mtts to accompany the changes since that is known to be the most rec friendly format, especially together with flat payouts. :)

@triceraatopp So....the good thing is that we already run more freezeouts than rebuy/reenter, on the top of my head it's somewhere  in the range of 62-38 percent :-)

Really? That are not bountys? Thats good :) Would be awsome if it was even more :)

  7. I have a problem that I think might be linked to the swedish version of the client.

After being disconected and trying to log in again the log in screen first looks just normal but when I typed the alias and password I get to this. It shows the web page instead of the client ?? And I have to close it and log in again to get the client back normal.

I tested how it would be if i loged in from my phone while being loged in on the computer and then got back to the computer.

    Screenshot_48.thumb.png.966f487cb5bb291c0ed4fa5c1a19fecf.png

As it shoud it showed this "session been moved message"

I click the green button ad get to the normal start page for logging in.

Screenshot_49.thumb.png.871aaaf20718e42d67097c81d4a0af4d.pngAnd same thing happends, I get the webpage version and have to fully close the client and open it from scratch for it to work again.

I think it's pretty obvious the decision has been made and our opinions as regs hold very little weight given the so called path Unibet wants to take but I do want to say that I feel the sentiment that 'old is worse' when it comes to this doesn't have to be true. The route that all poker sites have taken with MTTs over the past few years in terms of flatter payouts and bounties for a start have all but decimated the games. I don't want to keep referring to a competitor site but I feel it necessary as what we are seeing on Unibet is almost a carbon copy of Stars and how their top prizes took massive hits when they implemented these changes a few years back which led to guarantees being reduced ultimately creating a reverse snowball effect whereby a tournament like the Sunday Warm Up went from a $500k guarantee to something like $150k.

The Unibet guys and I will have to agree to disagree that these changes (and I include bounty tournaments in this) are "for the rec" because to me they're just ways to increase rake by spreading the already raked prizes thinner and more widespread throughout the player pool. Yes, recs will get a bit more play for their money with a few more min cashes but that's a very short-term view of the poker experience for recs. Pokerstars became a billion dollar poker company by doing the right things, having the biggest tournaments and allowing players to chase those massive scores. They've done their best to ruin that with rake-trap changes masked as changes "good for the recs" and I fear that Unibet are taking the same path.

I really can't emphasise enough how I believe that when you already offer cash games and SNGs, MTTs should be those games where the big scores are dreamt of for the players. As others have mentioned previously, top MTT prizes on Unibet are well behind competitors across the board but the UOS proves that if you build it, the players will come and play.

I know my post comes across as almost an attack on Unibet which is not what I'm intending for, I just think all of us on the community are passionate about building Unibet and I don't see these changes as the way to do it.

  10. Thank you alot for your comments @whereisrivaldo , im very pleaced you like the blog :) and I never get board discussing data interpretations :p

I see how you think but I think you missed the amount of tournaments played. In the february sheet you can see that I played 87 more mtts then the previous month so that I had a slightly higher profit dont mean I did better.

I had to drop some of the very profiteble 5-25eur mtts where I likely would have made more money, to make room for more secure podiums (but with less profit). Profitebility must be measured in ROI and/or hourly profit and what is a good ROI is completly dependent on the buy in.

Whit that we see that if my avg buy in is 17,24 and I have an ROI of 46% I will make 7.93 eur/mtt.

If my avg buy in is 13.89 I will only make 6.39 eur /mtt.

This doesnt tell us how long time every mtt lasts but in general the micros lasts as long & often longer then higher buy ins .

I also do play on other site(s), which are not stated here & I did have to drop thoose games to make room for more of the micros. This was ofc purely my choice and I really wanna state that im not whining about it even if it might sound like that, I also dont aim to suggest changes that are suiteble just for players like me, I just wanna share my experience and provide the data I have that can be off use when deciding on improvements:)

I think its a good idea you have to choose a smaller number of mtts to give out points, I do think it has to be quite many mtts still to make it a good competition but something like 10/day sounds like a really good idea!

Thank you again, I really have had a great start to my poker journey and Im fully enjoying both the studying and the grind :atisfied: Hopefully I can step it up a notch this year :D

Im definatly in tonight :D See you there!❤️

  11. @Caladrias The Deep Impact is now 5k instead of 4k and didnt completly reach its gtd yesterday (199 entrys total making it rake free+25eur overlay) so top price might have been inpacted by that.

I dont have lots of statistict to provide but Screenshot_22.png.b5c419bcde3481a77dab84c3654d014e.pnghere is the cashes I could find in my spreadsheet. All except the last 4-5 ish is from when it was a 3k & 4k gtd. Last one is from the new payout structure.

I also want big cashes up top, dont get me wrong on that, but it is important to not kill the ROI.

And that poker without regs is a rec heaven is a fallacy, without regs there is no gtd:s and then the recs will be gone to.

  12. I have to say im not a fan of this at all. Its not at all suiteble for the tournament structures Unibet is offering with a lot of progressive bounty, rebuy/add on and re entrys.

If it is to make for a better experience the mtt offering should be heavely weighted towards freezeout tournaments where I can see that it would benefit recreational players to have a flater structure.

With given structures neither people playing for fun or serious benefits from a 17% pay out structure. I understand that people unexperienced with the math might think they want this since they will "cash more often" which might seem good at first sight but accually they will win less and it will be harder to build a bankroll.

As a example on why its not a player friendly payout with given mtt structures we can take yesterdys Deep Impact:

    Screenshot_18.png.c9f0f2ae7615b22ee9889528ca87c859.pngScreenshot_20.png.ab6950880cc988c4eca7e51d80bff7fa.png

    Screenshot_19.png.93199d22c1d596d9a5dc6ca6a9400caf.png

This is a 25 eur mtt that one can re enter up to 5 times. I think few people reenter as much as that but lets say that you use 2 of your 5 possible re entrys. Previously the min cash was between 78- 90 eur, enough to put you in + even after 1 or 2 re entrys, in yesterdays version one would have to finish 9th(!!) to even cover ones expenses after using 2 reentrys. Then think about how often the averedge player cash the tournament and it gets obvious that it will be hard for anybody to end up +.

We can compare this to yesterdays Black Hole, a mtt that have the same kind of structure, 6 max & multiple reentry, the payout structure there hadent changed yet so the min cash was 18 eur, a good 3,6x the buy in, whch gives room to use a couple of the re entrys (that the tournament are deendent on to reach its gtd) and still finish in profit.

Im sorry if this sound hard but I was accualy a bit upset about this, it didint at all fit with my view of unibet as a poker site who cares about its players and the poker eco system.

  13. First of all, big congratz on thoose january result @GothMoth, very impressive :)

And feel free to spam @XY I like to discuss this things :)

I dont agree with the idea you both had about giving different amount of points for 1, 2 and 3rd place. I think there is a value in having it as just a podium challenge and not a regular leaderboard.

XY, its not only about how tough the games are, its that to now be able to have a chance one must play all the 1 eur and 2 eur tournaments which I dont think was the purpose. Accually they often have less runners and several times I have ended up sitting there in a  2 eur fireball with 38 runners when late reg closes.

I am ready to go for the grind and really love this kind of promos but I should be able to compete with 6 tabeling 5-50eur mtts and getting a podium about 1/10 times. But the current point system makes it mandatory to also get a couple of extra podiums a day from the micro stakes which is unfortunate. I think everybody would benefit from a more balanced point system, the micro players would have much easier collecting points when the higher stakes players dont join their games and the higher stakes players dont have to sacrifice their normal grind.

But Im biased from my own point of view ofc and there might be downsides with my idea that i dont see. No matter its really good that we get all opinions out there so Jeppe and the guys have  all the information from us players when they evaluate :) We can always copy this discussions to the thread after this month is done :)

  14. Hi guys :D

In my last blog I wrote about how exided I was for the Podium Hunter promotion and I was one off the grinders who went hard on it the first couple of weeks! I have now since some days drop out of the race and will make a little rewiew of my experience :)

    Micro grind

It started out being very fun, grinding together with other community members, posting in the thread, making a leaderboard, but the way the points are given out (1p for any 1-24,99Eur mtt with 40 or more entrys and 2p for 25Eur+ with 30 or more entrys) it soon turned into a grind where I was forced to play a ton of 1 & 2eur games to keep up with the volume of podium places.

This took focus away from my normal games and even though my total ROI stayed the same my avg buy in droped from 17.24Eur to 13.89Eur meaning I made 20% less profit in accual money then the previous month. Ofc this is not statisticly significant with such a tiny sample but a trend can be noticed and we all know that adding more tables will decrease ones win rate no matter what stake the added tables are.

+ Its great that the promotion is affordeble for everybody! Anyone with enough time and a 200eur bankroll can easily play all the games needed to win the leaderboard.

+ Easy to count the points with simple criteria and only 2 levels.

    - It becomes another micro challenge where you cant win if you dont play the micro stakes. And as mentioned above, adding the micro games is often -Ev for people playing higher.

    Screenshot_6.png.98409af81640908aed42254a1124bd42.pngScreenshot_4.png.e71d718cc0cd1d28c76d1453bd628f29.png

    Volume

Volume wise I managed to play more in the first 16 days as in the whole of january. I only had 3 days off so it counts up to an averedge of 29,69 mtts / day. Not all of them would count toward the podium hunters since some had to few players and I played some under a different alias. But in total I ended up with about 340 games that counted towards the Podium Hunters promotion which is equvalent to 21,25 Mtts per day. When I stoped I had managed to collect 37 points which at the time was the same as a 2nd place in the leaderboard.

    + Hard work gets rewarded.

    - One might have to play more tables then comferteble with and a 1 eur crazy moon á 1 hour gives as many points as a 10eur rebuy/add exoplanet á 7 hours which makes things weird in lack of a better expression.

All and all I think its a great promotion that rewards hard work and continuety but as with most new things there is room for improvment and here I think the point system needs to be looked at again. Its amaysing that one can win a UO package playing 1 eur mtts but it should also be possible to win it if you play 5-10eur+.

Im sure there will be some adjustments made when the community guys have evaluated everything fom this run and I will definatly give it a go again next time!

For now, Good luck everybody still in the race! :atisfied:
