  1. @CuteRaven Exactly my words It´s so tempting to make crazy donk plays while singletabling
  2. I have given it some thought now. Starting on April 1st I will grind 25s again. If the runbad continues and I start tilting again I will drop down to 10s. However I do have confidence that I can beat 25s for at least 2% ROI, which is the minimum needed to pay my bills from poker. I have made roughly 2300€ this quarter or roughly an apprentice´s wage. Not great but given the runbad and time I spend playing lower stakes (as low as 2€)it might not be too bad. I have set myself following goals: 1. Grind out 600.000 Challenge points in the next quarter 2. Play at least 1500 SNGs per month 3. Study at least four days a week 4. Keep the physical exercise up every second day 5. Do a daytrip somewhere every fortnight (starting as soon as the situation allows for it) 6. Improve significantly at chess 7. Become fluent in Welsh 8. Become fluent in French understanding The last three goals are quite ambitious. If I succeed at only one of them I will book that as a success.
  3. Totally not used to this spot. Is this a call or a fold?
  4. @CasuallyAwesome Not necessarily. Sure you get an idea of whether they are good or bad players but sometimes seemingly decent players pull off a stupid call totally unexpected
  5. @Brocky The problem is that you often don't know whether you are up against a reg or a fish, so you can't adjust too much without exploiting yourself. Thanks for the cheers
  6. first hand is fine against unknown. Sure you will be owned quite often but then sometimes you will see something like a bare flush draw, QJ, K2 and what not. I am only folding that against a s.h.i.t.reg who never bluffs but then again they wouldn´t overbetjam the turn. Second hand I am leading the turn. You have to start getting some money in the pot and you will hate your life when he checks back and the fourth spade turns up on the river. He doesn´t have a gutshot on the flop by the way
  7. @CuteRaven A fair bit of my studying is looking up preflop spots with ICMIZER. I also look at everything that seems interesting on youtube. Sometimes I think through certain spots again after the session and even copy from other regs, but not quite as much as I am not too impressed by their play 😏
  8. Go with the first option, as otherwise your roll might evaporate quicker than it takes you to say "downswing" Oh and congratulation on winning the package
  9. 25€ 5 Max ROI after 1673 games: -1,1% I cannot take it anymore. I have officially lost all confidence in my play. The only thing that cheers me up a little bit is the fact that a not so great reg and a terrible reg seem to be making a living on my stakes, so why not me? But maybe I am indeed just an awful player? Anyway I´ve had it for this quarter. I will take some time off of poker until april 1st, excluding the Magnus Open and whatever it takes to earn the remaining 100 Challengepoints to finish the month with 400.000 Challenge points. I will reevaluate my play and likely drop down to 10s for a while to rebuild my confidence. I will be back with a resumee and some goals going into the future as soon as the rage wears off
  10. What would online poker be without the conspiracy theories 🤣
  11. up to the turn seems standard. I think I am folding the turn as well. OESD with third pair on the turn is an underdog against any higher pair and you are not getting overwhelming odds. I might add though that I know nothing about MTTs
  12. Could I have my lifetime SNG results seperated by buyin and format, please?
  13. I had three 3-barrel bluffs called by bottom pair/no kicker. Quite possibly tilted by that I called this hand down. What do you think? Is there some justification of my play? What do you think of his play?
  14. 25€ 5 Max ROI after 1650 games: -0,9% 45 minutes worth of studying every day just doesn´t seem to be enough to beat games full of donks and regs that have massive leaks. This was an exact rendition of what I am used to once again. Hopefully this downswing isn´t going into the second round... First a short demonstration of the level of play today: and now the rants: And finally two subsequent hands that I thought were rather funny:
  15. 25€ 5 Max ROI after 1606 games: -0,2% 25€ Headsup ROI after 956 games: -1,8% There we are, writing negative numbers again. It seemed like a decent session for a while but it shifted over. Suddenly all my shoves got called by dominating hands and I wouldn´t win flips anymore. Let´s jump to the rants, shall we?
  16. @CuteRaven @CasuallyAwesome I agree with both of you. He just has too many good hands here, the fact that he is loose/passive just makes it worse. I did fold. I also folded two other pocket aces yesterday😞
  17. 25€ 5 Max ROI after 1540 games: 0,8% 25€ Headsup ROI after 952 games: -1,6% Slighty disappointing as it felt like more but a plus anyway. The hand of the day: Villain is a loose/passive recreational who limps. I raise to 3,5BB and he calls. I cbet the flop and he call. I check the turn, he bets and I call. I check the river and he bets
  18. That is an impressive result indeed Keep in mind though that 4700 games still allow for a fair bit of variance, here is a simulation:
  19. Seems like a great promotion! Is there a chance to get Magnus to stream the tournament?
  20. If there is a time for poker study it´s now. I think everybody here, myself included, has overestimated their own skills at some point or is still continuing to do so. Maybe our subsequent downswings are good afterall in that they force us to look at the facts and realize that we are not the great players we might have thought we are. A little anecdote: There is a reg at the 25s 5 Max who has a few serious leaks. He is also running like god. As a consequence he keeps making the same mistakes over and over again. Maybe he is the unlucky one after all, being deceived by the deck to think he is the greatest player in the world and doesn´t need to study anymore?!
  21. 10% ROI on hypers? Where have you heard that? I haven´t bought the course but there are some free videos on youtube
