  1. sorry but am I the only one that dips into this thread after a losing session for some laughter 🤣
  2. Thanks mate, haha yes it was a strange number. The story behind that was... I had some bitcoin so converted it to deposit here, and by the time it had been converted that's what it came out as 🤣 Enjoyed playing the league tonight and chatting with @Farseer in his stream we both final tabled the deepstack mid league game. 😃 I've been my usual undisciplined self with the HUSNG's and with my fledgling 68 euro initial bankroll played all the way up to the heady heights of the 100's... I would say I've played probabally about 120 games in total across mainly 10 euro then 25 a few 50's and 2 100's... Balance now: €388.96. Now the real challenge begins. Playing nothing but the 25 limit. I have 15 buyins and I know not great, but I have a chance of making it there, I have a feel for the play and think it's possible at least. I did say I was going to wait until 1k for the 25's but i think that might be a bit overkill. What I can't afford to do any more is play any higher than the 25's... At least for time being. So we'll see how this goes on the discipline front. For rest of week I want to get 50 games a day in at the 25 limit. See you in the league tomorrow if you're playing the 10's !
  3. RYE have a discord channel, if you're interested you can find it on their website. That's probabally not a bad place to make some poker friends if you want to discuss hands etc. Also if you're interested in setting up some session reviews / want to talk about how our poker journeys are going etc. I'd be up for that, if you fancied it and have telegram or skype for voice chat / screen share 😃
  4. Good luck! Anyone in the thread still in the deepstack? I've been chatting to @Farseer on his stream, don't recognizse anyone else though but good luck
  5. Rebuy was just for first 1-6 levels, and this went quicker in turbo so already at level 9 now, would have been about level 8 when you posted 👍
  6. we on same table @BillyR23 good luck 😃 problem is I can't get any reads on you, with that hoodie and glasses 🤣 Also looks like we got our work cut out as you've been studying like a wise owl @Merenitsu 🤣
  7. "Welcome to the community, @Coiner! Sorry to hear you just missed out on the payout. We'll be releasing improvements to the expiry date/time display in a couple of months. I've credited you 35,000 bonuspoints." It's things like this that make Unibet the best poker site out there. Truly for players by players 😃👍
  8. Well this is awesome! First time I decide to start playing poker again in 7 months and I luckbox by picking the day before a Christmas league starts 😃 Going to enjoy this something fun to do over the next 6 weeks! Good luck everyone =)
  9. enjoying reading your blog, nice updates! look forward to reading more :) good luck at the tables! 😆
  10. Well done on not tilting off your whole bankroll. With tilt issues (which I can omg so relate to!) - I think you're wise to withdraw your profit, and restarting seems like a great idea! This way you can work on your mental game and when you can consistently play without falling out of your bankroll plan, then you know you've cracked it! I so agree with what @CuteRaven said about life/balance. If you are someone that wants to enjoy playing poker and profit, like we all do I guess, I think it's so important you have your life in order and are in a great frame of mind when you sit down to the tables. I think poker is one of the greatest mental challenges I've ever encountered in terms of emotional control. Which is something that keeps bringing me back to it, to try to master myself more than anything else. Enjoyed reading your blog, good luck for the restart!
  11. Hey guys, Haven't played poker on Unibet for about 7 months. Took a break. Recently I started to learn spin and gos and played a bit on pokerstars. Did OK just playing $1 stake. Made about 20 buyins over about 500 games, and my chip Ev was fairly good. But pokerstars always does my head in with the runouts. I only played there as I took a break from here using the responsible gaming about 6 months ago lol, and it hadn't quite expired when I wanted to start playing again. I had a great welcome back to Unibet... Deposited £60 ... got it to about £120 on sports bet... then had a 10/1 bet come in on Tennis for £900 profit! That was about 5 weeks ago, I also withdrew it! Unfortunately... I lost about £800 back to another betting site... But still ended up about £120 overall. Anyway Unibet is my favorite poker site so It's good to be playing here again. The client has had an overhaul since I last played, functionally I think it's much better, but I do think it could do with some colour instead of the drab blacks and greys all over the client :) At least the tables are nice and colorful. I deposited £61 = 68 euros earlier tonight, and decided to play 10 euro HUSNG's. For now that's where I'm going to look to build the bankroll up I know only 6 buys in lol. But If I bust I'll redeposit some another time. I'm going to play 10's until I have 1k and then move up to 25's that's the plan anyway! Traffic is a bit low at this time of night and the client just closed for scheduled maintenance so I thought this was a good time to come and start a blog to chart how it goes between now and Jan 1st. Off the drink again (hopefully this time for good!) - been not drinking alcohol for almost 3 weeks now. Always feel better for it, but it's not an easy habit to break! For rest of month poker is going to be my hobby, I want to play poker and finish some work I got on, between now and end of month. The work will give me some money for when we get out of lockdown on 3rd Decemeber! The poker will give me something to do that I enjoy between now and end of lockdown =) Results so far: played: 40 games 1sts: 23 2nds: 17 Bankroll: €112.06
  12. That's great news! Really pleased for you. Sure the years of experience you have on the other side of the desk will be really valuable for you too in your new role. Very awesome. Good luck in your new career!
  13. Password pls. Lol. joke couldn't resist
  14. Hey all, hope New Year started well for you. It's a new year and I've decided to start getting back into poker fairly actively, I thought it would be nice to share how that goes here, share what I'm doing to improve my games, some goals and how things go on the way to hitting them. A big change for me lately is I've cut alcohol out completely, I've had a go at doing this before but found I got bored pretty quickly not drinking. I love the experience of drinking when out in a pub or club but its just too expensive in other areas of my life, the hangovers really damage my productivity, and zest for life not to mention the wasted money... both on alcohol and on stupid ways you find to waste money when drinking.also there's the long term health consequences of binge drinking... Not cool. Lol at live casino, I often bump into people who say hiiii... As if we are long lost friends and I can barely remember them from some drunken night weeks ago. I've had some good times drinking (including heading off to strip club randomly, from casino bar when got chatting to a guy who hadn't been to one, at bar and had won some money in the casino who said he didn't want to go alone, so off we went in taxi and had a great night...) Also had some other nice random nights... Meeting new people staying out for days, playing pool, and taking some drugs,I've only taken drugs about 15 times my whole life (apart from alcohol). They have been enjoyable at the time. But there's a flip side to all this fun.. and that is alcohol just holds your life on pause.. literally, especially if you waste all your money when drinking which I almost always did... As I get older, in late 30's now, I realise I've accomplished hardly nothing the last number of years, despite being in a great position to do just that. It's time to start actually accomplishing some things in life instead of just standing still... So.. ... back in mid December I decided it was time to just stop alcohol completely. Since doing that I've missed the short term experience of getting drunk while out (quite a lot in fact.. after all alcohol is a drug, and as any drug user will tell you, drug induced highs are not easy to give up), but have also gained alot... I've taken on a new work project which has involved learning a new skill (propper backend coding with node.js - a programming language) and that's challenging but is a nice project and been my main source of income this month, I've got to move it forward alot today, as it goes... But can do that and should have it wrapped up shortly. I'm no longer wasting money on alcohol, degen sports betting or other wasteful things... Which has freed up some money for other things... I've got a pair of Sony XM3 noise cancelling headphones which are great :) and should be good when I start making some live events later in the year for travelling. (As it goes I'm listening to Keane - Your Eyes Open, in Cafe Nero, as I write this!) I'm looking forward to getting back into music, and enjoying finding new artists and rediscovering ones I haven't heard in a while. I also got a new Keyboard (Corsair), no longer going to bars/clubs so thought I'd bring the flashing lights to keyboard instead lol. And... Last thing I invested in lately was a Kindle Oasis, which arrived today! Would never have been able to do this when drinking. So I've decided to stick off the alcohol for the rest of the year and see how things go. But... I've been pretty much at a loss for what to do in leisure time. Before I used to drink with friends who drank, or go to places and meet people while drinking... Yesterday I had a sudden feeling of boredom take me over. It sure is strange when you are used to being a bit wild when drinking to have it out of your life... And apart from that what to do with the free time ? Then I remembered poker. I've decided poker will get a lot of my attention in 2020. But sober, quality , attention The only session of 2020 I played went well, I played live at 100nl, and won £260. This was mostly due to a weird line I took on turn when I check raised all in for about 3x pot vs aggressive player, I was holding KK which was an overpair on turn!.. the line just kind of happened and I'd never have usually played the hand like this, but I thought I was ahead and he might just call on the Jack high , two tone board.. oh yeah I was also 240bb deep and he had me covered... After some time he did call, river completed flush but I still won and he didn't show. I Iost a 60bb pot later and was tired.. not feeling good as was a bit Ill ( didn't know till I started playing...) So left! I never usually leave after losing a pot, all down to being sober :) Lol... The guy I beat said you are the guy that was raising every hand preflop, last time we played... I don't even remember this, so needless to say my game has improved since not drinking Anyway that's the brief bio update On with plan for poker this year: My main focus is going to be threefold. Threefold! "Focus on one format, noob!" I hear you say... But bear with me. I'm going to concentrate on cash game play (mostly live) just online for some practice now and again. Sattelites and MTTS. For cash games I know how to beat 5nl already and this is all you really need for live play so this shouldn't need much focussed attention at start. Later down line with cash I plan to invest more time and effort into study ( for instance with raise your edge live cash game course), but really don't need this just yet I don't think! Sattelites because I want to get to Unibet Opens. Also I think ICM play and learning will benefit me nicely in MTTs eventually. And MTTs because: - I discovered the MTT player of the year promo last night, and what a great promo for aspiring MTT players. Thanks to the way it's been structured I don't think the fact I missed January will hurt me that much. - who doesnt want to have at least some edge when playing a live MTT, enjoy a bit of travel, meet new people, and hopefully bink something So that's my plans for 2020 with poker. I'm also really looking forward to becoming a regular poster in the community , and getting know all the community regulars in the forum (again), Unibet Community has a lot of active members and many play poker, so I'm looking forward to sharing progress with everyone and finding about how others are doing with their own poker goals this year.
  15. Hey nice you got your account back, I think it's nice Unibet give a chance in case someone didn't understand etc. But I would say also for me this is one of the best features of Unibet poker. People have been saying poker is dead in sngs and heads-up for ages at any decent stakes due to bots etc. So Its great that Unibet take a really active stance against this. I remember when Unibet Poker was first opened and the site was touted as being for regular social players, this was clear in the promos which didn't over value pros who just churn volume, with promos like double trouble helping anyone that's lost money in a week! Unibet still is true to these principles which is awesome. I don't play poker as much as I used to, but when I do I always choose Unibet, and this is a huge part of that reason, also the community and the way the site cares about building a fun environment for all players that is also fair. Anyway pleased you got your account back, good luck at the tables!
  16. Hey there, The 2.5k Titan, doesn't say how much the add-on is for on the lobby. This is kind of important to know, so just thought I'd flag it!
  17. Sounds like a busy life, nice to find some time to relax at the table =) Congratulations on your new 3 week old child! Look forward to following your journey.
  18. Road to everywhere is still on the go... :) Had a hectic few weeks with some work and then some live poker and drinking lol. Was up 10 stacks at 100nl live over about 3 sessions, then got drunk and lost it all lol. Had a good time mostly... but genna try and calm it a bit over coming few weeks and really try to make some progress with my live game too. Worked hard last few days away from table so should have small bankroll on the go again for another go at live in a week or so, and will update how that goes in this blog going forward too. Plan over weekend is to get back into road to everwhere challenge: Curently have: 4 x 10 euro tickets 4 x 2 euro tickets Played one really bad session the other day where I just was playing really bad but that's what I really like about the tickets, it always protects your bankrolls, as you can't go and spew off your bankroll if not playing your A game :atisfied: Also decided to start playing some 1 euros sngs... 2 tables first batch, 1 tabled second: 4th 4th 1st 3.17 1st 3.17 2nd 1.58 2nd 1.58 2nd 1.58 1st 3.17 4th 1st 3.17 1st 3.17 So made 9 stacks at 1 euro sngs which is nice... Cash balance currently: 14.99 Also have a double trouble ticket so will give that a go on Tuesday! Checked out Unibet Open news on site, and saw Patrick Antonius ha, would be funny to turn up and see him at your table. Definately want to get to one of the games next year. Good luck if you're playing or whatever you're doing this weekend
  19. Hi I just noticed I have a Double Trouble ticket that expires today, but I can't play the double trouble today, is it possible to get it extended? Thanks!
  20. @GN1991 haha good point, will remember that photo! @pinki yes i've just been playing 2's will be nice to have two limits now, so not so long between games when playing 😛 OK! Little change of strategy whent ok... After going 5 x 2 euros straight without a cash, cashed one and then cashed the 10... current balance: 8 x 2 euro tickets 1 x 50 euro ticket ( in exchanger) Was thinking of taking a shot at the 50 but.. with a 62 euro bankroll this is just kind of dumb I think, so the 50 euro is in the exchange washing machine at the moment. Bankroll 62 euros
  21. Yeah man poker can be a head **** sometimes! Unlucky with your straights, for them to river boats three times, yeah must have been infuriating! Good luck - hope your next session goes better!
  22. I think I'm going to change tact with unibet open sat strategy now! A new day, and a new plan came to me today. Instead of grinding every level I'm going to have a go at jumping up a few levels now. I have 13 €2 tickets. Plan is... Play €2 ... Everytime get €10 play €10 to win a €50. Collect €50's until no more €2 tickets left then reevaluate! If worst happens and I bust all €2s without winning a €50, can redeposit at some point. But just need to convert one €2 into a €50 and I'm nicely in profit! Just got to win two levels how hard can that be? 🤣 This will make it a bit more interesting too
  23. quick update got 13 x 2 euro tickets at the moment. Lost 3 on the spin playing ok, and got a bit tilted.... Just had a lock in last one and dont know what happened... i just went crazy donking off my stack with all ins including 75o and q6s ! could have just folded into the money. Lesson learned... I hope... don't just play because you are at the PC.... only play when you feel like playing! Good thing with the tickets is they are hard to donk off on tilt if you lose, so only donked that 1 ticket away... still got 13 left... tomorrows another day!
