  1. This thing about warning and excluding players who stall is the most ridicilous thing I have ever heard. Simply fix the god damn system. The end of the story. I give you a hint I have given before: 1) fix the time bank 2) remove (or minimize) the incentive for stalling (by fixing the point formula) The 'morals' should be in the system and not in the players head. You cannot warn nor stop players to do whatever is smart for them to do. Stallers won the leaderboard. You unibet have all the data to investigate that statement and react accordingly. If you care. If I am wrong with that statement I hope you then prove me wrong. By showing the numbers. I still love the UOS and I wish the members in charge would be open to change it for even better. Unfortunately, I do not quite get the feeling that Unibet listens their players the way they claim in their slogans.
  2. For the next UOS two things need to be done: 1) fix the time bank (= make it a bank lol) 2) get rid of the top 35% rule Either everybody makes points or only players in the money make points - either system is better than the artificial 35% rule. What makes or breaks your leaderboard is the times you make it to top 35%, not whether you win a tournament or two. The current system is way too play-it-safe-to-make-it-top-35% friendly and most top dogs on the leaderboard play the series this way. Antipoker at its purest.
  3. The UOS point system is broken. That is the real problem here.
  4. I am quite sure these are clock abuser a-holes and not bots. People who are ready to ruin the experience for everyone even for the smallest EV+. While there is nothing you can do to change their behavior, there are two things about this that bother me quite a bit. 1) The UOS point system incentivizes this behavior 2) Contrary to what it is supposed to be for, the timebank is reset for every hand, making the abuse possible to a much larger extent.
  5. We need an issue-free poker client. Until then everything else is just silly.
  6. I am happy that UOS continues but the information about the series came too late for me. I have played all the series in past but cannot play the whole series this time because of other arrangement that I easily could have scheduled differently - had I known the timing of this say 4 weeks in advance. Now it is too late. 2 weeks notice is simply not long enough for many people.
  7. @Patric-Unibet Sorry to bug with this once more, but could you say whether Manchester will be before or after September 1st? For me that would be enough to decide. Also, what happens if I have two packages for one event, but the first bullet is enough to make it past the re-entry period? Do I get the second buy-in in cash or am I forced to make another trip to another event later? Thank you again for your answers in advance
  8. @RayL Thank you. At this moment it would be sufficient for me to know the month for the Manchester tourney. Another question. What was the deal with winning multiple packages per event? I remember pumping into that info somewhere but cannot find it anywhere now. Can I have more than one package per event? Can I then choose how many bullets to fire and get the leftovers in cash - or am I forced to use them in future events? What if I have a combination of packages/seats only? Since I have to travel across the channel I want to be as stacked as possible, but I don't want to be forced for another trip I happen to have one buy-in lying around.
  9. @Patric-Unibet @Leo-Unibet Are the dates for Manchester known yet? If not, is there at least some sort of a timeframe for it already? I just won a package and contemplating whether to go to Newcastle or Manchester. Thank you!
  10. In the otherwise great 31 Days of Christmas promotion today's mission was a big mental fart by Unibet's marketing department. You have to get a 10x multiplier in Hexapro. Seriously Unibet, you really want to make your players aware how difficult it is to win big in Hexapro and how frustrating of a pursuit a 10x multiplier can be. A little bit of a psychological eye would be handy. The fact that you make the player anticipate the 10x makes it feel it lasts a lot longer than it actually does. You are essentially chasing players away from Hexapro with this. WP!
  11. ^ Dexapro lol (the dealer button on top of the H)
  12. OP's question is a valid one. Unibet has burned loads of money for all kinds of poker promotions over the years, yet their poker business hasn't really taken off. I don't know why this is the case but I am sure a lot of potential players are put off by continuing software struggles. You could give a slack for the first few months but now it is what like 3 years after they started their independent poker thing and simple things such as login to the client appear overwhelmingly difficult. And the last update had issues that a straight-minded 5 year old would have spotted in 3min. I would say that given the resources Unibet has, their good reputation overall (not poker) and the money they put into their poker business it is kinda alarming how bad things are going. Only suckers like myself tolerate the bs for the extra value they offer - and have to offer to keep anybody interested. Others who do not care for a buck are no longer here to care or comment. Oh yeah the answer. Fire your software provider and take a critial evaluation of how you run your poker operations altogether. It appears that people are focused on complete nonsense like "the multi silly arthur dent experiment" while forgetting to take care of the basics. Like updating that this time the 2nd day of E79 will be played on Dec 17 and not Sep 10 or whatever. Similar simple mistakes are everywhere.
  13. ^That is interesting! But not a waterproof way by any means. You could have a separate computer reading the gameplay from the screen and doing its thing in complete isolation of the poker client computer - that Unibet can access to.
  14. @Patric-Unibet Can you explain how the absence of 3rd party software makes bot detection easier? I would think the opposite is true as players are able to collect data with Holdem Manager for example and bust bots together with the poker site. As a player at Unibet it is very hard to get suspicious without getting paranoid. Since you can change your alias literally for every game it is impossible to gather meaningful amount of evidence for reporting. On a different note: Would it be possible to get self-excluded from Hexapro only?
  15. I like the audiovisual design of these games. What I am worried about is bots. It is not difficult to design an artifical intelligence that beats short stack (<=25bb) 3 handed games. Generally these bots get busted by other players more so than the anti-bot team of the poker site. But since Unibet does not provide hand histories and players can change their alias it is virtually impossible for players to bust anyone who is smart about botting. So everything is left purely for the Unibet bot team that is very hard to trust to in technical pursuits like this. I would not trust the anti-bot team of any poker site for that matter.
