  1. Did a @Brocky last night and ran like my old car. False hope of a good start but ultimately break down every time. Flipped like me actually trying to do a flip - not gonna happen. Lost a number of tickets. 5 UOS and only points in one nano. Tried to scare a big stack with my big stack by shoving over a raise on an AA7 flop with KK (I would have A in range a lot the way it played out pre) but after much deliberation was called by A8. Fair play gg.
  2. Decent first night back. Few sat wins including a supernova ticket which I'll keep for UOS main. Really eyeing up a Newcastle seat despite the massive expense. Also. If anyone has been on a DSO tour what's the easiest place to get to from the UK aside from Paris? Some of these seem in the middle of nowhere. Guessing Lyon is pretty easy. I don't have a seat but I'd love to have a crack at one.
  3. Final profit for last year was +3427.84e just doing this years spreadsheet and I'm going to finally get started! wonder how long this motivation will last...
  4. Why not! 😃 Maybe chances are like Wolverhampton winning Europa League, but there is a chance. 😉 Not seeing you here posting, doesn't mean you are forgotten.Hope outside the table things going well! Any plans to be at some Unibet stop outside UK this year? Haha cheers mate! Yep things are good just been really busy with the baby and not a lot of time for poker. Haven't played this year yet! Yep I am planning on it. Hopefully with a UO. I'm in a position where I am starting to look more at poker again and seeing what I want to do with it, I will play some qualifiers during UOS for sure but I don't fancy Dublin.
  5. Imagine being away from this blog since the 24th November. Quiet, except for the odd tournament here and there. And then suddenly coming back to win a UOS leaderboard... hmmm
  6. It's been a while since I posted and even longer since a profit update so here it is. Back on track with the tournament profit and overall profit at the highest it's been for the year. Even though I am still disappointed in the year overall. 7. Yeah that KK to 99 was a hard one to take seeing as I went on to lose heads up to the same person. I did get back in the game cracking their AK with AQ though so can’t be too down about it. I think I played really well overall. Was really happy with my game which is good because I have really lost some motivation and love for poker recently . Luckily the points didn’t really matter for me because I hardly played any events but the freeroll would of been nice. Sounds like you were really unlucky in your event. I’m sure it won’t be long until you’re in that situation again and luck Will be on your side for a big win! Best Of luck to you too and thanks for the kind words 😃
  8. What little UOS I played ended bitter sweetly. Just spent an hour heads up with the super tough EastBeast to lose out in second in E83 for circa 350e. Took a good lead many times after starting the HU big underdog and even had them in at risk a few times with the best hand. Just not to be. Gutted. Back tomorrow for day 2 of the nano..
  9. Congrats on the win @bergeroo great performance.
  10. I didn’t play but I am in Manchester at the moment and went and spoke to a few players. General feeing was incredibly disappointed with Unibet. No promotion, no news, no structure, no ambassador, no updates, no community feel, no visible staff other than Kasia, who does a great job I must add, but whole thing just felt like a normal weekend event that the casino itself could of put on.
  11. Drinking in a bar about to watch the match. I’ll pop in later and see if anyone’s about. Gl!
  12. 9 bounties for €13.64 😃
  13. Forgot to add evidence of winning a small tournament despite being tilted to **** lol
  14. This week has been full of savage rivers and nonsensical calls from the opposition. I am still hurting over bubbling a UK50 ticket two nights ago due to an ICM sucide call from an opposing player. I missed a great oppurtunity for a big score in one of the UOS Low events last night after leading the tournament for a good amount of time before getting into some good positions allin with less than 25 players left and succumbing to consecutive river cards. I am wondering what sort of reputation I have on this site. I seem to get called EXTREMELY light when I move allin from small on big and far more often than I should be. Im talking 10 8 and below type light and getting called even when on the bubble with a big stack vs another big stack. I think less people have read Dara's book than Twitter suggests! I dont want to be playing late tonight so might give the events a miss. I'll play tomorrows events and then travel to Manchester Saturday morning and see whos about in the casino.
  15. Wanted to do a profit update before I got stuck in today but runing late. My UOS starts here. No leaderboard competing. Just gonna win some comps! GL all!
  16. Been a tough week in poker. I'm going to give it one final grind before UOS. Not that I will be playing a huge deal of UOS due to other commitments but still. I've been reading up more on PLO cash which is positive. I've been watching some strategy videos and trying to keep my head when the bad beats come. I will be in Manchester next weekend if anyone wants to say hi (probably won't be playing unless there is a community game).
  17. @mathew1982 Thanks and good luck to you too. Its a good point about hand analysis. It's very different when you are on a bad run and you are often find ways for justifying a bad play. I am currently on one of those runs so I'm trying to play short sharp sessions to burn out the bad luck but it is so frustrating.
  18. @KrustyTheClown Nice one mate thanks for that. Some really good info there. Looks positive too in terms in being able to win at that level. I'm looking forward to testing this out.
  19. Won two tournaments today and come 2nd in a community game and still minus profit for the day 🤣 Freeroll still counts... lol
  20. @Rushbie That’s what I tell myself about that hand I posted the other day gamboooollllllll 🤣
  21. Cheers @GR1ZZL3R . I shall defo be looking at all advice I can with the mental game. I won’t be diving in too soon I have a lot of reading to do. Also got to set some targets on what I want to achieve. Moving up and down levels etc. I class myself as a fairly competent plo player - certainly above average but depending on what mental state I’m in I will also be the one overvaluing little straights and flushes. I will , of course, be going public with results 😀
  22. Thanks @GR1ZZL3R I think I am going to give it a go when I'm ready. I know how many hands they say in holdem etc and I think I would agree with that at a high level where the more skillful people will play. At the levels I can afford to play I always think people who say that believe they should be beating the game but aren't in profit, and can't admit defeat or go back to study more. There are so many people still around those levels making consistant mistakes over and over. I suspect the overall level of PLO is worse than holdem too. If I played 300,000 hands at 10PLO and was down I would accept I can't beat the game and need to improve. I would accept it long before that. Variance or not there will be 1000's of oppurtunities in that time to be able to pick off a weaker player with the 'right bet' or just squeeze that little bit extra out of someone to counter the times when you will get coolered. Even the odd 10cents here and there improvement is going to help counter overall variance. I want to focus on that side. I'm not sure what a good performer looks like at that level though. ROI? BB per hour rate? It's going to be interesting. I will almost certainly struggle mentally with the swings. Always have always will so thats a big risk.
