  1. @Toums Thats a really good return without any 3 figure sums! If you are confident in your ability I would defo take a few shots at €5 with that bankroll. If you play a few and things don't go your way you can just step back down safe in the knowledge you can beat the level below. But just having the experience and getting used to the higher stakes and better plays will be helpful. If you have a positive ROI in sats you could play the €1 sats to €5 or even €2 to €10 and get your shots in that way to reduce the overall risk. Be on the lookout for overlaying sats for extra value!
  2. Not much to update. No cashes. No leaderboard points and not been in the mood for playing at all last couple days which reflected in my attitude at the tables. Must try and get motivated for tonight.
  3. @Toums Urghhh thats really rough! Congrats on getting that far, though!
  4. @Toums AH yes I kind of remember the hand. It was pretty sick and those kind of set ups always seem to happen around the bubble! Unlucky man hope luck swings the other way for you next time! As for the rest of the session I took 3rd in that nano event but the lows were a complete bust. Think I spent 3 hours in the one and never saw an Ace. Had a really dire run of cards and meekly went out both on flips. The dream of winning the leaderboard seem a long way off as I'm 15th and 44th overall but still some way to go and hopefully some more good results to come. I'd have probably been top of the nano leaderboard if there was one. Think I've had 4 final tables, including a 2nd and 3rd, and numerous other cashes in that where my luck seems to be really good. I swear I tend to mess around lots in them but seem to keep winning.
  5. A well needed rest day today. I can't say upon reflection that the first half of UOS has been bad because im nearly €800 in profit since day 1. I don't think I've bought my 'A' game to the table very much and made some really daft mistakes that have cost me guareteed money but what can you do but chalk it off and learn from it. I'm pleased given the amount of time I've spent away from the tables recently. I hope there is a big finish to come in the second half of the series! 6. Tonight was a reversal on last night. 2nd in the PLO mid, cashed a low, nano final table and 15th in the low 2 day means winnings of over €500 tonight. Absolute horror struck in the 2 day at the end allin in a really nice pot for me AA vs QQ. Alas a Q hit the river much like in the PLO when I gambled on a double gutter which came in on the turn but the river filled up to give the other person the win. No matter.... I can't complain about luck now. I had my fair share today.
  7. Last night was easily the heaviest losses I have had since the series began. I used a lot of tickets but also the most raw money losses so far too. The bad luck in the rebuys was pretty relentless and the super sats to the UK final bore no fruit. I made day 2 of both the nano (20BB's) and the low (69BB's) so fingers crossed there is a recovery on the way... 8. Out both lows already again 😞 Same in both AK to 10 10 then AK to 10 10 again and threw the resrt of the chips away half because of the beers from the Wolves match and half because no way am I sitting on short stacks for hours on end having flipped so bad this week. Music to my leaderboard rivals ears im sure.
  9. @nightshopper thanks mate. I usually come back to this blog a few hours later and wonder why I made the rant post but it's nice to have a place to get it all out in words even though I know everyone has heard it all before and rolls their eyes at it haha!
  10. Ffffffffsssssss earliest night yet. AK vs QQ in the first low. Missed. AK vs QQ in the second low. Hit the A. Q hit the turn. K hit the river just for lolz. I will crumble down the leaderboard after that and I just feel like I'm really not getting the rub of the green now in anything except nanos where my luck continues to be great. :wonder:
  11. I came 2nd in an event! Unfortunately it was a nano and the lows were a complete bust. All for big stacks I went out 66 to 55 (50e mid) and AA to 88 and KK to AQ in the lows. But in the nano despite often trying to be eliminated to go to bed early I had all the luck in the world. Typical ay... I've dropped to 7th on the low and 51st on the overall. Reflecting on a week of UOS I am not particually happy. I've made a lot of mistakes. I feel overall I'm probably running below EV but the big cash I had at the start of the series is making everything look rosier than it is. If I was going to grade my play I think it would overall get a B-- . I guess money is what it's all about at the end of the day, though. Profit is all that will matter when the series is over.
  12. Well.... I'm a complete Kn@b. Comfortably crusing into the money in the PLO last night and I let my emotions get the better of me against a player who was annoying me and stone cold bubbled. Ok, I got unlucky. I flopped big and got rivered. But I should never have been in the hand in the first place. I cost myself €41 and leaderboard points from again not keeping my emotion in check.... We try again! I cashed the other low and have moved up to 4th on the low leaderboard but I am kicking myself for not having more points than I have. I'm 41st on the overall which is pretty good considering I've only played low events so far. I am entering the 50e mid event tonight though so hopefully I can propel myself up that too!
  13. So hard to play heads up with 6 other tables to look at! Haha but gg @SkilfulPoker whatever happens thank you and @Stubbe-Unibet for the tournament - awesome gesture. And I hope you put your tickets towards winning loads of €€€€€€!
  14. I managed to move back up the low leaderboard to 8th with a final 2 table finish last night but the less said about the idiot move I made to go out the better... Anyway.... Here's an updated list of the events I've played (minus the nano's) and a profit update underneath. 15. Took a real hit profit wise last night and a lot of it was avoidable so I'm super annoyed with myself but it is what it is. No cashes in the low events and the reason for that was mainly due to a pre flop allin call with 99 I completely chickened out on. In loads of scenarios I would of been crushed but I genuinely felt here I was good and completely went against instinct and chickened out. As it was I would of had the overpair, took out 2 players and had a top 5 stack with about 30 to go before the money. This caused a tilt snowball effect and it seems that after all these years the mental side of the game is still the part that lets me down the most. Low leaderboard - 20th Overall leaderboard - 77th The only shining light really was winning a couple of 25e tix which I am going to put into the mid main event at the end of the series. Hopefully get a few more and play some other mids along the way. But for now got to pick the pieces up and refocus.
  16. Personally I loved the epic 2 day events that started Friday BUTTTT they were a bit too long. I went out in 4th at 3.30am on Day 2 after being in around 13 hours total (and I max late regged). I feel like if a few very early levels were removed and Day 1 had run a bit longer it would of been a real winning formula. I don't like the limbo levels between rebuy and addon and think the starting chips of 2500 last night was a bit stingy. I would add more PLO 😏
  17. I know we are only a couple days in but it's a big series so I think it's a good time to get some thoughts! Leave your feedback on the latest UOS series here. What have you liked? What didn't you like? What would you change to make it better?
  18. An early night tonight :teardrop: Had some real stupid plays against me that got lucky early on and unfortunatley I couldn't shake the feeling of annoyance. This had a big impact on gambling hands and luck was definitley not on my side tonight. And for the second night in a row I went out 3 from the money in one of the events in a set up this time KK to AA. I need to sleep well and come back refreshed and make sure this doesn't happen again.
  19. Not much time to reflect on the mistakes I made but tiredness was a massive part. About to start the grind again and currently sitting 7th on the low leaderboard and 32nd on the overall. LET'S DO THIS! E1 Nano - Out E2 Low - 4th €577.66 E4 Nano - Out E5 Low - Out E7 Nano - Out E8 Low - Out E10 Nano - Out E11 Low - 32nd €7.81
  20. Gutted at the mistakes I made and the missed oppurtunity. Soooooo tired now. We go again tomorrow.
  21. @Sparrow473 was about 11.30 UK time last night i think. It's bubble time in the 2 day low. i have 35ish BB's and pretty card dead. Went out the nano 2 day in a massive pot AK to AA with 4 to go. Said to myself regardless of stage of the tournament if I'm folding AK in a nano there is something wrong with me...
  22. Good job I logged on. Assumed Day 2 would start in a couple hours and not in half hour. Full update after the days events.
  23. Will do a full update tomorrow. Headlines are - Day 1 disaster: Probably 60-70e down. - Ran QQ/AK into AA far too many times. - Things started to get a bit better. - Made Day 2 of the nano with just under average stack - Made Day 2 of the low with about 100 BB's 1.5x average stack.
  24. Stat update before todays grind. Don't like the day one offering for the low leaderboard. Two 10e rebuys with the only real difference being one is faster but hopefully lady luck is with us and we can get through with some profit. 25. Ridiculous run out in the final hand of the night below in an otherwise decent day. Won a small tournament, got a few tickets and most importantly playing pretty well I think.
