Final update before kicking off at Milton Keynes tomorrow and I couldn't feel more unprepared to be honest. Ive hardly played because everytime I load up a table I get beat off it within minutes. My motivation has been seriously dented recently and I am feeling down about poker. I flew off to Spain for a few days with the family for a break and I'm back now to hopefully get into some good form for Milton Keynes. Great idea @triceraatopp lets do it! 😀 I think you do yourself a disservice. Lots of people are interested in how you're getting on and you had loads of love for your win in Dublin! I get why you think that about better players and blogs etc (and I really don't class myself as that good, above average at best) but for me it's just about inspiring people to give it a go, play poker, and have a laugh. I don't really try to compete with the best that Unibet has to offer and never feel I have anything to prove. I think the majority of unibet players, and those on this forum would class themselves as nano / low players and I like to prove it is possible to do this kind of thing from those stakes. Poker gives me opportunity to do things I can't do on my working wage, and go places I would never think of going otherwise. I made 2 UK Tour final tables from €4 sats and had a UO cash from a free seat in a last longer comp. This time I'm in for a bit more spending €20 in the 10 rebuy on a Monday but overall it's amazing really and I love sharing my adventures with the community that helps me keep focused on becoming a better player. Not just stories from the table but the other shenenigans I get up to, as well. I do my best to meet new people but I like to think i come across as just a regular guy who loves the game and loves a laugh. I am very much looking forward to MK and will be giving updates where I can!

Seem to have an increased amount of bubbles this week as the poker Gods mock me. I can blame luck one way or another for most of them but there has to be something I can do better. Interestingly Dara's book on Satelite/bubble play comes out this week and I'll pick up a copy. It is the priority area for me to improve upon. The UK tour has turned to disappointment for me. Milton Keynes is fine - that's all sorted. But if you've read the threads Newcastle looks like a disaster for anyone looking to travel. I have a few UK tour final tickets and now have to weigh up my options. Newcastle looks out the question. The hotels are devastatingly expensive due to a number of high profile events in the city and travel for me won't be cheap either. My tickets will run out before Newcastle is over so what I really need is an updated terms and conditions for which I've been asking for a couple weeks now. Sad to say I have lost faith in that tour team. It was bad last year but this year is a mess. Elsewhere I haven't played very much. Work has been hectic and with me being out the podium running and the bounty challenge finshing I've had little motivation to play. I completely agree with @psrquack and @Brocky. I remember qualifying for my first UK tour not long after joining Unibet. Nottingham 2017. I final tabled the event and all weekend there were constant updates and pictures of how people were doing. We had to pose for final table pics which were posted in the thread etc. At the time the updates were 90% to do with the amabassadors and I complained that they needed to get out there and find the chip and chair stories or the guy that qualified through a sat for €1 and has never played live. To be fair they listened and started to do this. These updates continued throughout 2017 at all events as far as I can remember. Then, I went to the first stop of 2018 in Brighton and this no longer happened. Think one of the guys may have gone to PokerNews which is where I followed Sinaia from. It is a shame that I should have to go to an external site to follow a Unibet tournament when the means to big up how the community members are doing is right here. It's all part of inspiring players to get in the sat tree and be there. Decent week despite bubbling some live event packages... Now Milton Keynes has been announced as the first UK stop I have booked it up without a package. I'm not rolled to buy into such an event so if I don't win a package (and won't be playing the final tonight) I will just go along anyway and say hello and maybe play a side event or two. I am pleased to see the UK final so popular now but sadly still isn't ideal for me being on a Saturday and I'd much rather that £10 rebuy on a Monday be a 25 freezeout. Of the other legs I'll plan to be at Manchester and would love to do Newcastle as I've never been but it'll be quite expensive to get there for me. Brighton might be off the cards also depending on expense. Podium is going well for me and despite probably not being able to finish in the top 5 let alone the top 3 I'm pleased with my results. I can't compete with those that play all day every day but from the volume I've put in I think I'm doing well. I had 4 final tables last night and two wins but sadly only 2 podiums. 3 wins overall this week. All small but had a few bigger second places to build the profit up. Bouty Badlands is coming along ok. Havent had the time to put in what I wanted yet but I will do before the promotion ends. @PompeyPoker The casino is right in an entertainment complex so prices are quite high in and around it. Can get much cheaper if willing to go a couple mile out but depends how you are travelling down and what’s right for you.
