  1. Still need that haircut... I honestly thought I could fiercely compete in this podium challenge but WOW the competeition is tough. I don't think I could put in the volume needed for the Malta but I do have believe in my abilities to win it if I could. Nethertheless had two wins in the last 2 days to boost the bankroll and gove me a confidence boost going into Sunday. I will continue to compete for the podium and hope I can get on a rush of good finishes throughout the week when not at work. . Aside from that €5 Hexapro ruined my profit margins. Devils poker. 2. How I'm up for the last couple days is anyones guess. I've played like a complete donk as some of you have witnessed first hand lol My mental mood seems to have been contantly switched to 'F**K it, let's go for it' and despite some desperate luck at times in and around bubbles I have overall played terrible. But I'm up, and I'll take it. I was feeling pretty weird after the community games last night. My mindset was just not right and I kept swinging from one extreme of play style to the other. I think I naturally feel like all community members are decent at poker and I overthought lots of scenarios only to be surprised when I saw the actual hand. It's been a long time since we had regular community games and I think I just need to treat it as any other tournament and not as a reason to overthink things. Made one final table but was typically the €1 buyin. On the Hexapro front I was frantically trying to hit the 5 jackpot earlier. I noticed it when the counter was on 800 games left and rapidly spinning down. I opened as many tables as I could as it raced down to about 200 games left and finally hit on some other table, unfortunately. Interesting that the podium challenge is going to get under way from Friday. I want to be challenging top of the leaderboard and it will all depend on what volume I can put in. I am really interested to see which community members, and how many, will be posting top 3 finishes every day but with a Malta package up for grabs my guess is quite a few! 3. @TTABKATA You too mate run golden!
  4. Right. No more moping. Who want's the be the person I beat HU on the final table of these community games tonight
  5. Sigh.... 2nd in deep crazy moon too after again starting HU a huge underdog. Elsewhere I just can't win a big allin. Give me AA vs A6 for a top 5 stack and i have no chance. Give me 7 2 vs 77 next hand when I've lost all my chips and I win that everytime. Bubbled a €50 ticket, too. Thats me done for today I've had enough... Can't believe I'm actually in profit for the day to how fed up I feel.
  6. @PompeyPokerSIck run man :( Yeah mate it's carrying on into today too. Losing most of my 70/30's and flips. Lost 72%, 44% (AJ to 99), 69% allins in the space of around 5 hands to go from top 5 stack to out 4 from the money in a €700 GTD. Bubbled a sat KK to AJ. Just came 2nd in a singularity JJ to A2 but was about a 15/1 chip underdog to begin with. More frustration when it happens on multiple tables at once than moaning about my luck I guess. I'll ride it and hopefully not tilt too much... I find it hard to grind SNG's. I tried it 2 years ago and got a good sample size but didn't enjoy it. Was actually a loser at €10 level which suprised me but I have worked on that part of my game since then. I would defo do it again but the problem I have is my roll isn't enough to play at €10 now and I wouldn't be happy playing lower than that. Hopefully grow my roll and perhaps one for the next quarter but I find it hard to let go of the excitement of running deep!
  7. Update before I start the Sunday grind. Pretty bad week. Took some shots. Not cashed much and been chasing Hexapro jackpots too and the swings are emotionally hard to deal with. Shouldn't really be playing the €5 level my bankroll defo cant deal with those swings. 4 jackpots hit while I was playing tables but I am still yet to hit anything other than a 25x. 8. I’m not sure about the UO tour because I don’t spend that much in the sat tree but I think credit has to be given for changes to the UK tour. I’ve made it clear a few times I don’t like the 4->50 step and they often overlay, but there are other sat trees to pick up a 50 ticket. The weekly final is a success in my opinion now, though. 40-50 players each week whereas before it would struggle to reach the 3 seat guarantee. Now it comfortably gives away 5+ as far as I can see. Monday night game could do with some tweaking I think. Would rather see 25 freezeout to seat only rather than 10 rebuy. I think that currently overlays most weeks.
  9. Three more final tables tonight and my theory about Hexpro ruining my game looks legit. I kept off it again and got 9th, 8th and this Winner of the Dark Matter and the confidence to play at a higher average stake with the bankroll I have. Tournaments played: 243 (152 sats) ITM: 73 / 30.04% Total buyin: €794.45 Total Cashes: €1031.95 Tournament Profit: +€237.50 ROI: 29.89% Tournament wins: 2 1x Galaxy Nano - 90 Runners 1x Dark Matter - 103 Runners Hexapro 1: Played 84 won 41 = +€70 2: Played 232 won 77 = -€7 5: Played 31 won 17 = +€62.50 Hexapro Profit: +€125.50 Cash 4NLH: 10 buyins 6.55 profit 4PLO: 9 buyins -0.10 profit 10PLO: 3 Buyin -9.19 profit Cash Profit: -€2.47 Total Games Played: 612 Total Yearly Profit: +360.26 Note - Hexapro 2's profit margins went horrendous as I was chasing a jackpot and loading up as many as I could and moving straight allin on anything that was 1.5x... But anyway. It's been a good night!
  10. Played 4 multi table tournaments tonight and made the final table of 3 of them. 1k deep space 5th 400 shooting star 5th 300 omaha deep space 4th I had no Hexapro influence during this time. Coincidence? :wonder: Broke a slight profit for the year in tournaments finally and €108 up across all games. Feel a bit better about things after tonight although disappointed to make 3 finals and not close one out. Onwards we go...
  11. @deanspleen09 Like I said I should just become a HexaproPRO
  12. I’m going to have to take a day off today... Stone cold bubbled one of the sputniks yesterday JJ to 66. Went out in the money of one of the daily mains A10 to KJ board A x x J J. Tournament profit is again decimated largely due to the €130 I’ve spent trying to get onto the UK tour so far and I’m not even rolled for those qualifiers It is made more frustrating because of having to grind lower stakes than usual for little reward currently until I can get back to my usual bankroll. Will just take one nice cash in a Sunday main but until then just got to keep my head together. Maybe I should become a HexaproPRO as that profit continues to rise at €1 and €2 level. I have a theory about Hexapro And my results. There is no doubt I am not playing nearly as well as I can and I attribute that to almost constantly having at least one Hexapro open along side my tournaments. Tournament = patience is a virtue Hexapro = ain’t nobody got time for patience I think the constant influence of Hexapro is costing me games because I am finding it hard to keep each mindset separate and more likely to play almost any two cards. This theory is consistant with me reviewing my games where I am calling spots and saying to myself post-game ‘what was I doing there that isn’t me’. i will continue as usual this week as the Hexapro promo is on and then I will ban it for a a week and see if it has an impact on results.
  13. Haha I bet it wasn't The seat only sat tonight has Manchester written on it. Not sure if thats been there since the December leg or it is actually the next leg. Either way I need a seat especially if it is Manchester!
  14. Pretty gutted tonight. Would of finally broke tournament profit for the year so far if I didn't have to rebuy in the UK tour final on Saturday (KK to A10, before losing that buyin KK to A7...). Tonight had some real bad luck around the bubble of the Exoplanet and then even worse luck when I got into the money losing fist 10 10 allin to A9 then next hand 99 allin to 66. Also busted the Neblua right outside the money AA to 86 so allin in all but a pretty draining night... but got to think of the positives. I won my first tournament of the year so at least I have that pressure off my back. The Galaxy nano and final tabled omaha Sputnik (another sick exit in 6th) but I'm on the right track. Hexapro also going in the right direction and I look forward to hitting a jackpot tomorrow Great to see so many new blogs up too! Tournaments played: 200 (131 sats) ITM: 58 / 29.00% Total buyin: €625.90 Total Cashes: €585.73 Tournament Profit: -€40.17 ROI: -6.42% Tournament wins: 1 1x Galaxy Nano - 90 runners Hexapro 1: Played 23 won 15 = +31 2: Played 107 won 40 = +61 5: Played 20 won 8 = +10 Hexapro Profit: €102 Cash 4NLH: 10 buyins 6.55 profit 4PLO: 7 buyins 3.87 profit 10PLO: 3 Buyin -9.19 profit Cash Profit: +1.23 Total Games Played: 370 Total Yearly Profit: +63.06
  15. Luck is still not on our side and the tournament profit margins are getting worse. Im not playing great but being sucked out on a lot kinda causes you to be a bit silly... A surge of profit at Hexapro is keeping the overall yearly profit afloat but another weekend like last and the numbers are going to look pretty bad by Monday! Nearly won the first tournament of the year today. Came 2nd in the Nano Omaha Calypso... hey, they all count! 16. The main positive from last night was Wolves beating Liverpool. Other than that it was ok at the tables. As mentioned in another blog I seem to be running pretty good at sats but terrible in tournaments. It'll come... Tournaments played: 122 (78 sats) ((Sats counted wrong on last update)) :dissatisfied: ITM: 36 / 29.51% Total buyin: €355.85 Total Cashes: €348.81 Tournament Profit: -€7.04 ROI: -1.98% Tournament wins: 0 Hexapro 1: Played 8 won 4 = +1 2: Played 17 won 10 = +22 5: Played 2 = -10 Hexapro Profit: €13 Cash 4NLH: 9 buyins 5.10 profit 4PLO: 4 buyins 2.28 profit 10PLO: 1 Buyin 0.58 profit Cash Profit: €7.96
  17. Don’t worry man you’re still smashing it and everyone here believes in you. At a lot smaller level I am suffering the same but it’s slightly different for me. Satellites I seem to be running really good overall but all the Sunday events / daily events I’ve entered I have been outdrawn silly ways. And don’t get me started on flush draws. If you’ve got one against me you’re completing. No two ways about it you will make your flush. Oh and bounties. If I’m allin in a bounty just call anything. You’ll win a bounty lol. It’ll change man. Just so hard to chill and think that when’s it’s going like that. My biggest problem. Just stay out the casino!
  18. The tilt is indescribable.... Started off ok. Got a UO final ticket, closing in on a small final table and then suddenly BAM! Beat after beat, tournament after tournament until it got to the point where i was moving allin with anything to prove to myself if I could still win a hand. Making stupid calls because I couldn't believe that I had been called down on every street only for villain to hit miracle cards. I just had to see for myself. Many a tournament sacrificied with plenty of big blinds left just because I was cruising with a nice stack and some sick scenario then put me below average and I wanted my stack back as soon as possible.... sigh. When Sundays go bad they really do go bad.... Having said that, there were enough small cashes to keep the profit loss looking ok... but I have to turn this around soon for my own sanity. Tournaments played: 101 (43 sats) ITM: 30 / 29.70% Total buyin: €310 Total Cashes: €285.98 Tournament Profit: -€24.02 ROI: -7.75% Tournament wins: 0 Hexapro 1: Played 8 won 4 = +1 2: Played 16 won 9 = +14 5: Played 2 = -10 Hexapro Profit: €5 Cash 4NLH: 9 buyins 5.10 profit 4PLO: 4 buyins 2.28 profit Cash Profit: €7.38
  19. I'll try and keep this upto date on a more regular basis than last year. Others put the effort in so I will too. Tournaments went even worse today in terms of set ups than previous but pulled back a bit of profit. No sniffs of any final tables but made it through a few sats (hate these UK4's now, very frustrating) Hopefully will look 10x better after tomorrows games. Discipline will be my challenge on the first Sunday of the year. I'm only rolled to buy in to €5 tournaments and whatever tickets I decide to use above that. Tournaments played: 77 ITM: 24 / 31.17% Total buyin: €171.60 Total Cashes: €165.08 Tournament Profit: -€6.52 ROI: -3.80% Tournament wins: 0 Hexapro 1: Played 5 won 2 = -0.5 2: Played 15 won 8 = +13 5: Played 2 = -10 Hexapro Profit: €2.5 Cash 4NLH: 8 buyins -2.02 profit 4PLO: 4 buyins 2.28 profit Cash Profit: €0.26
  20. @Silver1oh there has definitely been some funky plays! I tend to do that though if I see a tournament coming up I want to play but don't want any more tables up. Whatever cheap tournament I am below average in or look doomed in I tend to do something silly to either double up and then play properly or go out and start the new one lol
  21. Thanks @Kliedz_Zivju I'm pretty calm about it. I know it'll come good in the end. I will indeed be dipping in and out of the tables today. The real grind will be tomorrow, though!
  22. Not been a great start to the year poker wise. Grinded pretty long hours already with no reward. Not particually happy with the way I'm playing and have been straying towards always taking the gambolllll flips but feel I've run mostly bad, too. Also played some horrendous heads up for tickets in satelites. But as far as tournaments go it seems In and around the bubble it doesn't seem to matter what my stack is I'm being set up. AK to AA SB and BB. QQ Button to KK BB. That sort of thing. So nothing to shout about yet and 59 tournaments in we are at a loss. No problem. I'll win something this weekend On a side note I stopped playing yesterday because I felt tilt coming on (positive) and started browsing other things. Watched some of @Brocky on Twitch and his impressive feats, and came across @MathrimC stream late at night which I really enjoyed watching. Really chilled and good conversations going on with the community. Also decided to mess about with my spreadsheets and post my stats a bit different this year so here they are so far. Tournaments played: 59 ITM: 19 / 32.20% Total buyin: €133.20 Total Cashes: €117.79 Tournament Profit: -€15.41 ROI: -11.57% Tournament wins: 0 Hexapro 1: Played 1 won 1 = +2 2: Played 9 won 5 = +13 5: Played 2 = -10 Hexapro Profit: €5 Cash 4NLH: 7 buyins -2.54 profit 4PLO: 4 buyins 2.28 profit Cash Profit: -€0.26
