good session today despite a terrible start. I forget exactly where I started but I think I won 40€ again. bankroll: 322€ bonuspoints: 1140 cashgameticket: 8.51€ with 125 flops to go hand of the day: Villain limps and I check back. He then overbets every street and I call him down

thanks everyone for the advice @WuDu I would say that I expect my ROI to be higher than 5%, firstly because I have been doing a lot better than that on similar stakes in the past and secondly because there are enough crazy people overbet jamming with bottom pair and things like that. @P0kerM0nk To be honest I have bearly been studying at all recently. I have marked a few hands for review with ICMIZER though. As for long term plans, I have developed a great interest in languages and could see myself doing something in that direction. Maybe as an interpreter? Or maybe in the tourism industry? Just some ideas I had.

I do realize that it is very tough to make enough money on these low stakes. That is why I should probably move back up eventually but without better results at 4s that could potentially be even worse. I have worked in normal jobs for 5 years. All I can say is that I would rather not exist that work fulltime in a job I hate. In my opinion it's a way to waste one's life. Don't know about parttime but I guess the work still has to be somewhat enjoyable to make it worthwhile.

@WuDu it's possible that I am not good enough, but these results seem worse than I would rate myself. I guess time will tell. With the playing for a living thing, I don't really like playing poker for a living that much but I hate working a random job only because of the money even more. I am constantly revising my options, but until I find something sensible that actually suits me I will stick with poker.

Sigh. Another day and again a few euros gone. I made a quick calculation and since starting with the 4€ games here I have made <4€ per hour, which should be around 5% ROI. Pretty bad for such low stakes. I hope this is bad run and not my real expectation. Anyway, moving up would be pointless with such a bad winrate at micros. Won't be thinking about anyway before the court hearing. Still hoping for a proper winning session.

Unusual session today, the first two games that finished were both 1st places, very unusual. I ran quite well for a while, being about 50€ or so up at some point but things worsened a bit and when I decided to finish my session my luck turned completely against me. Got one 1st and one 2nd place and busted everything else, that's a 30€ drop. At the end of the day I made 2€ and 500 bonus points. Not satisfied at all.

I made some comments under the screenshots but it's not showing them for some reason. Is this a bug?

thanks @P0kerM0nk really miserable session today. Started with KK<AA, then another pair<pair, then I get TT in vs 33 (where villain shouldn't have stacked off) and the flop shows a 3. Almost quit there immediately. 18€ loss. Many suckouts, especially annoying as the neckbreak usually happened on the river. Some hands:

A new system? Must have missed that. Mind explaining, @P0kerM0nk ?

@P0kerM0nk Never had that problem with single sessions, but certainly with weeks/months of doing worse than I would like to. The main fear that I have is that I am either not good enough to make more money at 4s or that the stakes are simply too low to make more and I should move up again, but would then obviously face stronger opposition again and face worse swings.

miserable session today. -20€. That's the reason why +40€ isn't really good enough on the good days, at least if you want to make a living from this. Maybe the stakes are simply too low?! Hard to say what it is.
-
Edit: don't know why it isn't showing the comment for the screenshots. The first was an allin pre and in the second one I raised pre, bet flop and turn and played bet/fold on the river.

40€ profit at the tables, thereby bringing the roll slightly above 300€. I can live with that. The cashgameticket has dropped to 10.57€ unfortunately, mainly through folding but also through losing some medium sized pots. Anyway it's still higher than it's original value. Some hands:
-
11€ win tonight. Not great, not terrible.
-
Won almost 40€ tonight. Can't complain

@Groggy I have adjusted to the playerpool, but probably not enough. Interesting thought about limping the Q8s, didn't even cross my mind. Thanks

Much better session today after the day off. Here are the overall standings: bankroll: 217.44€ Bonuspoints: 640 Cashgameticket: 15.78€ with 194 flops to go

thanks for your advice @FreedoM and @P0kerM0nk I know that it is supposed to turn around eventually but it is incredibly difficult for me to remain cool after a losing months on stakes this low. I guess a proper crushing day could do wonders, I hope it's not too far away.

Not much better today. This time I did fairly well up to the headsup but there I lost something like 8 times in a row. Decided for an early quit again as the anger was building up. I ended up exactly breakeven at the tables and received 5€ rakeback. That is 5€ for 90 minutes of playing, not very good at all. I am considering taking a few days off altogether as I am getting really annoyed after the first few losing flips. I simply can't put in any sensible volume like this. The hand of the day:

what a sick joke this is. I had the lower pair in 100% of pair vs pair situations, lost 6/7 headsups and couldn't even do well against the people who overbet jam the flop with bottom pair. I am not making this stuff up. 20€ down in just an hour. No way I can play a full session with this nonsense. 1 month of getting destroyed at micros. ❤️♥️❤️ this.

Very frustrating session today. I lost 25€. Felt like I couldn't win any flips, what do I know. The thing is, if I want to make this work and not waste my time playing a game for 3€/hour I need the odd +100€ day every now and again, something that hasn't been anything more than a fantasy now for quite a while. I have lost about 200€ these past 30 days post rakeback when including party poker. Very very frustrating. I can't really believe that I should be doing this badly on 4s. Here's the hand of the day. Villain was a "reg" A real fear I have is that I only beat this game for something like a 5% ROI. That wouldn't even add up to 50% of minimum wage. It is a bit difficult to imagine that I am really that bad, as the play at the 4s is indeed rather atrocious, but I guess time will tell.

I realized today that Wales is under lockdown again and travel is prohibited, so I had to cancel the trip to the mountains. A simple walk along the seaside had to suffice. Today's session took unusually long to fire off, usually that means a lack of regs and softer games, which seems to be what happened. I saw a whole bunch of people who stacked off with absolutely nothing. The final outcome: 14.77€ with 221 Flops to go on my Cashgameticket 233.67€ in the bankroll 640 Bonuspoints

I personally haven't experienced any pandemic burnout. However, taken a break is definitely a good idea in your situation
