Edin bringing the team back from the dead. I always believed in him! #EdinForever

Edin's in weird position right now. If he wins is cause of Sahin/Bender if not he needs to go :classic_biggrin: Whatever happen he will lose and Sahin will succeed him. Maybe if he win Buli or CL things would change...I would be pissed if i were him but maybe he dont care eyeing job in managment and will do what club needs him to do. The moment they throw him Sahin on the back he should resign and im 100% certain BVB would not win those two games. There is really something how BVB under Terzic is grinding results despite the unconvincing play. I think its just good coaching setup.

However @jerry was right, it seems like Stuttgart is having problems now without Guirassy.

Seem like Undav is not that good. Seen game against BMG and he was terrible, killing many promising attacks with Stuttgart like 65:35 in posession. He is probably counter merchant.

Leverkusen with a late second win again, this time against Red Bull.

They cant doing that every week. Cracks are visible, Bayern is winning easily, playing with 50% intensity. I dont see it. Now the EL will come and  they will bottle everything, including DFB cup. One chance in the million and they didnt buy one player in the winter? The chance is but IMO very small.

  2. Doing analysis on yesterdays matches and this caught my eye :classic_biggrin:

    Przechwytywanieppp.PNG.296c8eddcc1f43165f593bf5238627dd.PNG

Is there buy option on Maatsen cause internet says no? I mean even if this is pure loan this could be still ok deal assuming BVB didnt pay more than 3mln. Bensebaini in Africa so you need the body there however 6mln [Chelsea would not probably go lower than Sancho] for two chaps with no buy option?

    spacer.png

Anyway Maatsen was killing in Championship. I would say he was in top three most important players in Burnley side that steamrolled the league [101pts] , maybe even best player in the league. Him not agreeing for going there permanently is why they struggle so much now. Much better offensively than defensively. Poch doesnt rate him at all cause of defending, but Poch seem like a real fraud nowadays so this doesnt really matter. If used right this is probably very good player. No one likes to defend in Buli anyway...

Scouted for Schalke from 2017-2018. Wasn't that the time when Schalke GM Heidel had the glorious idea to eliminate all stadium scouting and rely on 20 or so sport students to "scout" via TV/video material? Well, well, well...

Watching matches in tv should be/and i think mostly is first step in judging the player. Not from the greatest hits on youtube where everyone looks like Messi regen. Tvs are so big now thats not hard watching the game and focusing on one player. Its not live view for sure but its possible. On top of that during last world cup on our tv provider there was streams with vertical view [up and down, this mostly usable for patterns of play, formations, team coaching] and static horizontal camera with a view of whole pitch. This way you can easily focus on one player. Second step of course sending someone at the place to see some games live and making some background check on guy's character, family, cause you know, maybe there are some clues that he will burn his home later :classic_biggrin:

Players scouted in these two years: Bentaleb, Harit, Konoplyanka, Pablo Insua, Hamza Mendyl and Rabbi Matondo! :classic_laugh: The Polski way of HR management!

See, all pretty talented guys but with horrible characters, easy to weed out...Harit especially is a shame how he turned up. Contract is short, what i gather he convince them by having a pull to some young players from Belgium/Ger. Will see, i dont think this will end up too great. Rakow already have too many volksdeutches foreigners. What they need is more polish players and i dont think mexicano know any...

    Watzke strikes again:

So youre now goin for unproven coaches from Super Lig. Got it :classic_laugh:

He had good period last season but in this one its not too good. They create very little but are solid at the back [isnt it like Terzic?] Would be much better if he proved himself in some high pressure job in Galata/Fener/Besiktas. Also Turkey isnt exactly known for renown coaches. There is reason national team was contant carousel between Senol Gunes and Fatih Terim...

Sahin probably emailed Watzke himself to run from this guy :classic_ninja:

Of course he's not going to Polska at 20 years old. :classic_biggrin: If so, it would really surprise me. Probably a loan to a club in Austria, Holland or Switzerland.

Rakow have new sportdirektor. Samuel Cardenas who is 28 years old :classic_biggrin: Last three years he worked as a scout, then transfer strategist and was also responsible for contract negotiations for AA Ghent [he is apparently behind the transfers of Hyun-Seok Hong and Gift Orban, second was big sensation last year, but this season he is not :classic_sad:]. Before he worked as a scout for Southampton, Schalke, Honved and was also academy direktor and chief of scouting at Stuttgarter Kickers. Uff...so many jobs, genius-alert... I hope they at least try to check this resume by calling somewhere cause this dont look too trustworthy :classic_ninja:

He knows four languages and is mexicano, born and raised in heimat. What can go wrong :classic_laugh: Coach Szwarga is only 5years older and made so many mistakes that defending title will be extremely hard...

So Collins is most likely Cardenas idea.

  5. Just noticed that BVB legend A.Modeste landed...in Egypt :classic_laugh: Even there used only as a mascot. When they played Al Ittihad he went on in 87min and got red in 90th minute :classic_biggrin: Seen this live but somehow didnt notice it was Modeste :classic_blink:

    Przechwytywaniess.PNG.db13e4dbc65810b6a5228e72bb73bc03.PNG

    Hope @WuDu and @Livertool approves :classic_biggrin:

Raków thinking about Nnamdi Collins from Eintracht. He was bought this summer for 1mln from BVB II. Played in every youth under team [minus u21 so its clear he is probably big and not too good:classic_laugh:] but didnt debut in top tier. If they not insist on reinbursing that 1mln and get him cheaply [300-400k] then its probably worth it to gamble thou im not too hot about BVB rejects and on top of that Buli is not famous lately for their good defenders :classic_laugh:

  6. I thought RB is leading the way for Sancho. They all but agreed the fee with ManU and try to only lower/subsidize the wages with the player. They losing Forsberg and he suppose to be replacement. So there's some competition...

Didnt hear about this one :classic_biggrin: It all depends in what shape Sancho is. I wouldnt bother, rarely those transfers work out. Someone could be stuck with lazy unmotivated player on astronomical wages, see Ndombele...

  7. 42 minutes ago, WuDu said:

Such as? Who are these non-selling clubs?

City,Manu,Newcastle,Arsenal,Liverpool,PSG,RealM,Bayern,Chelsea, Barca probably too but here they have very limited [as opposed to other mentioned here teams] aquiring power. Also probably Tottenham, cause i think Kane case you can count as a exceptional circumstance :classic_biggrin: If Villa retain Luiz then i would even count them. Suicide or not Newcastle/ManU/Chelsea [even if he decline the job once] are def after Julien and i like i said before i have this feeling that Klopp may resign when they sell Salah in the summer. Then Liverpool would be a fav, simply for ger-ger switcheroo. BVB hooking up with Julien would be like 20,50 at Unibet :classic_laugh:

Then there's a chance he will have good Euro and stays till the World Cup and BVB end up with Herr Flick :classic_blink:

@jerry 1,5 years ago: Nagelsmann is not performing well, I could see him getting fired from Bayern.

Nagelsmann gets fired in surprising fashion, goes on holiday, takes over the NT with so-so results.

@jerry Now: Nagelsmann will only join the top-top clubs, anything else is beneath him.

I still think he is overrated and overhyped but he still didnt flopped anywhere and market knows it. He is still wanted by not-selling clubs so why would he want to go to BVB where he never knows when you will sell him someone or that you will not buy him no one above 20-30mln? Bayern was this freak thing that will never go against him and he still didnt fail with national team. Some abysmal Euro showing could hurt him, sure, but even after that i think PL clubs will line for him. If he bottle PL job then he is Villas Boas and he needs BVB :classic_biggrin:

  9. 3 hours ago, WuDu said:

Let me think, he could either move to England and coach a team like Newcastle and risk turning into the next Villas-Boas or join the BVB and turn a team around that has been dragged down by Watzlenskyy and Edin. If he wants to continue coaching club teams, Dortmund offers him the best opportunity for success.

There are two types of clubs. Not selling ones and the ones who sells. BVB is a selling one, maybe slightly ambitious but you can have anyone/anytime in your club if the price is right. You can have anyone in Ligue minus PSG, whole serie A is up for grabs now [few years ago Juve was not a selling one but they fooked themselves with CR7]. Also whole LaLiga minus Real and big maybe if Barcelona is not a selling club [we will see if Bayern will pull Araujo out of them]. Atletico is certainly a selling club [with some capabilities of retaining some players, but they will not refuse any 80mln offers].

Julien is now on the salary/hype level that he will only consider clubs that are not selling, period. There is no way he is even considering BVB now. When his stock go down hard, after i dont know, three big losses at Euro or next big club bottling then maybe. Now yours best bet is Glassner, Adolf, Baumgart, Fischer. I would stick with Terzic...

Not bad pick imo IF Pool wins PL or at least EL. Thou Klopp has lots of contract left, he has also made clear that he has other plans than being club manager for rest of his life so leaving at top wouldn't be surprise. He has also mentioned interest of coaching Germany, switcheroo with Nagel could be viable option.

IMO its 90% sure. Second fav is Leverkusen and they didnt win anything forever so maybe final with Liverpool, nothing more. Then Milan,Brighton,WestHam,Roma, Benfica,Atalanta. So yeah i will be amazed if Liverpool dont win EL. However things can get sticky in the PL title fight and Klopp might try to win EL with Elliott and Gravenberch. Then its diffrent story...That said 3,25 still have some value. I made the bets some time ago with 4 odd.

The BVB starts the year against Darmstadt, Köln, Bochum and Heidenheim. Please guys, if we get out of these matches with 2 wins and 2 draws or so, I don't want to hear any "I told you so" or ...

Four wins, maybe one hiccup at Koeln, and if BVB prevail PSV Edin is staying.

Its maybe mandela effect but i remember you were fan of #LetEdinCook. What gives? When this changed? RedBull was bad luck, without the card youre not losing, Ausgburg away always toughgame with Mainz team have mental block, Eintracht sometimes at home play like City, so a draw is also fine. Results are mostly very good. You have no team to expect 12-3-0 record. As for dire football you just cant control the game with Can in the middle and Hummels at the back.

Didnt he was announced as the savior who will stay for years? At Reddit [maybe not the best source but still one] you can see that majority of fanbase is giving Edin the middle finger. Its a bit too soon, and i really feel this wouldnt happen if not for the losing the title.

Nagelsmann is likely bound to Chelsea/ManU but my pick would be Liverpool after Klopp refusing to work without Salah after this summer :classic_biggrin: Maybe if Germany will lose all games. Read that he is on 7mln at DFB and BVB is paying this to almost everyone bar cleaning stuff so its at least financially viable...

    Whats with that superleague s h i t ?

  12. Shades of FC Hollywood. Well, if Bayern is former so BVB is....Bollywood maybe :classic_biggrin:

Suffice to say im on #teamTerzic. I would kick all the coup leaders to BVB II or even release them. This thing you resolve with the coach not go and cry to the fookin CEO or media [someone gave them this and its not Edin]. Oh and first to cry is Reus, known leistungstraeger at BVB...

    Cant wait what happen next

  13. 7mln budget....Haaland/Bellingham vanished really fast. How much did you get for CL? Isnt it like 30-40? Im guessing if you pay 7mln a season for the kind of Sule,Brands,Reus,Hummels,Can money is going really fast...

This is the budget when you played Odonkor, Smolarek and Koller :classic_rolleyes:

    spacer.png

And Reguilon :classic_ninja: Guy who was everywhere a bust...

  14. Just watching Sporting-Porto and thinking isnt it funny that two next big thing strikers in Europe are buli rejects? One didnt make it in Wolfsburg [Osimhen], second one in St.Pauli [Gjokeres]. Second one looks, run and move so much like Haaland that is no way he was not on BVB radar. He would be so good there. Sporting will sell him for 80-100mln easy.

    Oh and also :classic_biggrin:

    https://sport.sky.de/fussball/artikel/kritik-an-trainer-edin-terzic-wird-lauter/13033677/34130

Sky exclusive: Some of Borussia Dortmund's leading players have even sought dialogue with Hans-Joachim Watzke and informed him that further cooperation with Edin Terzic is not expedient. The players also don’t like the tactical approach (too defensive)

    That escalated quickly...

Guirassy and Undav also didn't have much of a market in the summer.

Didnt realize Stuttgart is like Replacements movie :classic_biggrin: Dont kid ourselves, while Hoeness did amazing job, its mostly flying Guirassy. Either he will not fly that high next round or he will be gone. Dont think he or his agent is that stupid not to capitalize on this shot of form. Remember Piątek in Genoa and first few matches in Milan? Im many times wrong but i dont think Stuttgart is a problem for BVB and they are out of top 4 before april.

    5 hours ago, WuDu said:

Do you still think that Edin is cooking with limited ingredients? If he's top-5 in Europe, then what about Hoeness and Xabi Alonso?

Stuttgart dont play midweek eurocups. Leverkusen is resting there best players, with playoffs there will be no such luxury. Lets be realistic, they are now on 12-3-0 record there is no way they will keep it up. Its Loserkusen after all. Also there were no main players injuries there, which i find very lucky. Maybe Edin's few draws could be wins, and one of two less losses. Being down from 13th points to 6-8 would be better, however in both seasons Edin is in BVB team went on winning streak at the end of season [bot times i believe where there no midweek playing] so top 4 its pretty safe most likely and i wouldnt rule out catching RB.

btw just noticed Jessic Nkankam guy. Is Jessic name male version of Jessica :classic_biggrin::classic_laugh:

  16. Im just checking my bets i put durng last week and i noticed i have almost everywhere Liverpool :classic_ohmy: I just dont get how Liverpool didnt win with ManU. I was so sure  they will win so i got this game on almost all my weekend bets. I never do something like that, but well i WAS SO SURE :classic_laugh: In my mind this would be thrashing and ETH will lose the job :classic_rolleyes:...

Edin wanted to play "less sexy, more successful" :classic_wink:, well, the "less sexy" part has been accomplished...What I'm absolutely not seeing is any kind of direction where the team is going. Yes, Edin brought the BVB back twice, winning the cup in 21 and almost winning the league in 23. However a lot of things he did this year simply don't make any sense.

Im with @Livertool Edin is cooking what he can. I dont you can expect much better play from this lot. The pure results are very good. Take the title choke away, Bellingham folding against Chelsea and he is top 5 coach in Europe. With this stain he must again prove himself, but IMO if BVB will let him loose in the wild im pretty sure some PL team will pick him up, maybe even Chelsea when they finally notice Maurizio is a total fraud.

Who if not him? Is there even an idea there? With Schulz with this squad you are now 10th, same with Favre. Maybe Glassner, Adolf H? Here could be interesting, BVB would play nicer, score more but leak a lot of more goals.

So hopefully someone here placed a bet.

Didnt pull the trigger before the game but hit this :classic_biggrin:

    Przechwytywa.PNG.dea74f4c0430e45107af98c2e1952d74.PNG

I mean how even could i pull it harder? Stats after first half were BVB-esque vs Bayer. Frankfurt  8 or 9 shots Aberdeen just 1 and result is 1:0 :classic_ninja: Didnt see the game but betting authorities should see it if Gotze and co didnt try hard NOT to win...

In other news i was watching Legia win against Alkmaar. By all means its 4th or 5th team in Holland and they were absolutely terrible. Threatening factor 0 or -1 :classic_biggrin: 9 out of 10 games Legia is winning and Legia is in terrible state now.

Anyway Legia in september loaned from VFB Stuttgart portuguese gentleman named Gil Dias [paid for him 300k]. Guy is absolute epitome of headless chicken. Legia plays with 10men anytime this guy is on the pitch. He have massive problems even against bottom teams in Ekstraklasa. I just dont even understand how he is professional footballer at this time.

His career is really interesting and shows how market works. First he was loaned from Braga B to Monaco u19. He must be really awesome that year cause Monaco promptly bought him for 5mln. This plus he played in all under national teams for Portugal. Then only after 6months they saw there is something wrong with him :classic_biggrin: Loans to Varzim, Rio Ave, Fiorentina, NottForest, Olympiakos, Granada, Famalicao...

Then somehow Benfica pull the trigger for 1,50mln. Im pretty sure when they saw the offer they partied in Monaco that day:classic_laugh:He made his record there staying 1,5 years mostly as a deep sub. Then again out of f. blue Stuttgart got hooked for 1mln last January. 6 months later he is in Legia :classic_ninja: Stuttgart contract is till 2025. Good luck offloading him. He is f. useless.

  19. Looking at Kane's head at the photo remind me of movie quotes:

    Quote

Look at the size of that boy's head. I’m not kidding. It's like an orange on a toothpick.

    Quote

Heid! Paper! Now! Move that melon of yours and get the paper if you can, hauling that gargantuan cranium about!

    Quote

No kidding. His head's like Sputnik. Spherical, but quite pointy in parts.

One bronze santa flip if you know the quotes without looking for the source :classic_biggrin:
