New Update 04.07.2022:

The amendments to the Fiscal Code are to be made into decision-making transparency by Monday and to be adopted next week, according to government sources. Compared to the option initially discussed in the coalition, political leaders have decided on several changes, including three thresholds for taxing gambling profits.

Measures include changing gambling taxes. Thus, earnings of up to 3,000 ron / 600 eu would be taxed at 10%, those between 3,000 ron and 10,000 ron / 600 eu and 2k eu - at 20%, and those over 10,000 ron / 2k eu - at 40%. For companies in the field, however, all taxes will increase by 40%.

Don't make up your mind to watch or don't watch something from those BS Companies. They are being paid to rate some higher than others. That's how they survive, and the same happens in games where you will see one shit game rated 9+ by the companies, and the people who play give it a five at most. If you want to know if something is worth your time, watch the trailer on Youtube/Gameplay, and you will know since nowadays, the trailers/gameplays kind of show you most of it already. 

In the gambling chapter: 40% of the gain will be taxed (any gain), but an analysis will be made on how to tax at EU level to apply a model.

I know a lot can change in one day or until 1st of January 2023, but at the moment, things don't look good.

Tomorrow it should be the meeting and I assume as you said on the 1st of July they will come out with the final decision. I still think that if the Sites won't intervene it will be bad for Poker Players.

Answer to the Question: It's Not Possible! 

Honestly I can't see any REG Poker Player that will be active from Germany/Romania or any other Country that will implement such an outrageous tax, I also assume a small number of Sports Bettors will quit, for everything else like casino i don't think it will have much impact.

@Stubbe-Unibet @Jami-Unibet @Andy-Unibet It seems they will actually go ahead with the 40% Tax, now we will know how it will look in a couple of days but if i understood it correctly it will go live from 1st January 2023. So i have some questions, of for example if the tax will be on every withdrawal and i decide to not withdraw until i have 100k or more in my account and then i go and move to another country where Unibet has a license and i get a Job a House and a New Bank Account from that Country will I be able to withdraw those funds in the new account without paying the 40% outrageous tax for no benefits at all?

I don't know the details of this one, but I doubt a 40% winnings tax will ever happen - primarily due to the extent you'd be pushing players to sites that aren't regulated and how you'd hurt the betting duties income. 

I like that you are optimistic about this. However, we are talking about highly incompetent and irrational individuals that have proven time and time again they can mess things up for no apparent reason. So yeah, I hope they don't do something stupid, but I expect it.

Addicts will destroy their lives either way, they don't play to win, they play for the high so if you take away gambling they will find some other way to fill that void and sadly the only people that will lose will be the Poker Players because we are thrown in the same category as slots. #FeelsBadMan

Probably not, funny/sad Romania is in the process of killing gambling for the second time if they put an absurd tax of 40% on every win. I hope Unibet and other operators will fight this, we will know for sure on the 1st next month and probably until it hits the streets it will be 1st January 2023 so in the worst case there are 6 more months of enjoying poker from Romania.

Banning Cheaters from Events or Sites isn't enough as a Consequence in my opinion it's a White-Collar Crime and they need to get punished appropriately with some Prison Time. 

Just imagine taking away so much money from the ecosystem in any other field and getting banned, essentially a slap on the wrist, are you kidding me, it's outrageous.
