GR1ZZL3R Posted December 22, 2023 Author Share Posted December 22, 2023 Day 22 Yet another boring mission that can simply be completed by doing nothing different, play a cash session in the normal way and the mission, win ten times from the button, will complete automatically. I suppose most of the missions will do that anyway, a regular Hexa player will automatically play 5 x 1.5 multiplier, a sng regular will automatically play 5 games, a Banzai player will automatically reach a certain level. GR1ZZL3R Posted December 24, 2023 Author Share Posted December 24, 2023 Day 24 I've just checked in for today's mission and to my horror noticed that the daily count, 22/25, is one short. Checking all dates shows that yesterday's date is showing greyed out, not completed. How I've done that I've no idea, the last hand history shows with a yellow belt so I've obviously jumped the gun and stopped too quickly. This has upset me a little but just carelessness on my part and sort of rounds off what hasn't been my best year of poker, (not much different from any other really,) so the missions are over for me. I'm going off later this afternoon for 2-3 days with family, no more poker till the New Year (it would have been a struggle) so best wishes and good luck to everyone still going. 3 "It turns out that 75% of all poker players think they play better than the other 75%." Like you wrote the only explanation is you left the table too fast 😞 Personaly, I always wait I got the notification pop up I completed the mission, because I know Banzai can be tricky. If I remember correctly, you had to get an orange belt, not a yellow one. In any case, I would advise you not to give up and complete all the other missions, who knows, maybe @Santa-Unibet can really do a small miracle, because you really deserve a diploma in 2023. GR1ZZL3R Posted December 28, 2023 Author Share Posted December 28, 2023 Days 24 25 26 27 28 Day24 So having had the stuffing (Xmas ref #1 🎄) knocked out of me and being busy wrapping and packing for a Christmas stay over I really hadn't the time (couldn't be bothered) playing 3 MTT's. Day 25 Having had a very merry 🍾🍺🥃 (#2 🎄) Christmas Eve, a good night's sleep, and an hour or so before any of the family were likely to wake, I played PLO to hit the flushes, fairly quickly and profitably, the 3rd one being the best. That gave me a ticket to a flip tourney and a very pleasant surprise the morning after. 😍 I wish it could be Christmas every day! (#3🎄) Day 26 A bit of run good on the Hexa front for a change, only 6 needed to get into the 10 x (lost that one 😢) but made a nice profit. Day 27 Dealt QQ pretty quickly, 15th hand, actually the third on that particular table. 🙂 Day 28 Expecting another nightmare on the Hexas, and yes it was extremely aggravating and frustrating, 🤬 but if I ever started winning all ins anywhere near the percentage I should I could crush these games. 🤣 To be fair, 40 games played, 1 at a time, 1 hr 45 mins, 323 hands both times dealt AA won, 🙂 (lost twice with KK 😭) 12 games won (almost very nearly just about average) and 1E profit. No 10 x multiplier but 3 wins from 3 was a nice start to the day, so then on to the 0.20c ExScreams. 😱 Twenty five attempts later... the 10 x hit but it wasn't a disaster, in fact it went quite well, €1 profit and 14/25 wins, a nice change of fortune. 😍 Or was it? Although my profit from the promo is slightly lower than EV, I am generally satisfied with the results. I wish future missions like this weren't so monotonous and Santa flips weren't so slow, everything else is pretty good. Sadly didn't get the avatar for completing them all, well done SScherby (said through gritted teeth 😬) and well done (in advance) HG, commiserations to the Machine and either 👍 or 👎 to everyone else. I played out the bronze flips last night (last two and 19 silver later today) and made it to level 6 (400 BP) once. With all the various tickets won, including a €250 SuperMoon (flip) and a €50 Major (free roll) + various bits of cash and other tickets, I think I'm very well ahead of the curve now. The other major takeaway I've realised is that the various forms of poker are not to be frightened of, I've eventually learned to cope with some of the different tactics and nuances concerning Hexas, Banzai and the rest. I presume the missions are designed to get players playing all sorts of variations that they wouldn't normally play, but I do think that most of them are pretty boring and pointless, not providing any opportunity to actually try to play for some target. Sitting for a couple of hours playing Hexas waiting to be dealt AA is never going to be exciting for a newcomer to the game, at least trying to win some hands from the button or doubling a starting stack might tend to keep some players more involved. I'm hoping they could be revamped, especially for the ten year anniversary coming soon, more interaction would be welcome. 🥴 So unless there's anything else, that's it for now and a to everyone. 🥃 5 "It turns out that 75% of all poker players think they play better than the other 75%." I'm looking forward to January and Anniversary promos.
