GothMoth
It was a good promo :atisfied: There were some details preventing it from being great. From my point of view:1. The Banzai bounties were unsuccessful tryout even after @Stubbe-Unibet somehow managed to reduce the almost fliplike gameplay by increasing the 1st level to 30 min. The 10bb starting stacks practically turned them into a luckboxing donkfest.2. The option for reentry esp. in the banzai ones isn't compatible with the bounty format.Making a rebuy is a amost always a disadvantage in such MTTs . The 90% bounty prizepools made it even a greater one. If it wasn't for the leaderboard top prizes everyone making rebuys is bad. Voluntarily turning yourself into a prey with 2-3 times smaller stack than most of the players in the tourney and on the table is a sign of strategy and mental issues.3.The starting times of the events shouldn't be more than 2-3 hours apart and preferably in the evening.4. It's better the buy-ins for the low tier to be €1, €2 ,€5 .The lack of €2 tourney and the €5 being a reentry while the early €1 a deep freezeout created disbalance. The battle for leaderboard prizes became almost meaningless except for top 3. Probably have missed something , as my play was only the first 2 and the last day. Hopefully the active players will share their opinion too.
Stubbe-Unibet
@GothMoth, I respectfully disagree, at least with some of it ;) The Banzai tournaments did incredibly well, and the feedback I've gotten is generally good. It's definitely not a format for everyone, but the same can be said for a slow bounty tournament. Again, the tournament offering as part of the series was very much targeted recreationals and people usually betting on sports rather than playing poker. The leaderboard aspect was to make the promo of interest to more serious players as well, and looking at the leaderboard and participation, I think this went ok as well :) I agree with your last point, at least to some extent :) Check the latest poker release notes. That's the main reason for my concerns and suggestions which I still dare to share, even after realising that " By Players For Players" isn't actual nowadays.Regarding the banzai bounties: High number of reentries might actually mean a high number of frustrated players instead of high success rate. Unless getting busted almost every hand and at the end losing €10 for few minutes while playing €1 buy-in tournament isn't their idea for fun :laugh:Maybe casino or bingo players should be your targets for the next poker promo ignoring the actual poker players. Stubbe-Unibet
@GothMoth, have to admit I can't make much sense of your post :) What general direction is it that's a concern to you? I think you're somewhat blinded by a couple - or perhaps even just a single - change you disagree with :) "By player, for players". The poker team has traditionally been made up of former full-time players, and we've still got a couple of those. Andy has probably played more hands on Unibet than 99.99 % of the poker customers we've got. I'm not exactly a former pro but I love the game, play every week and have been playing home games since I was 13 and online since I was 18. Not sure what meaning you put into the phrase "By players, for players", but it can't be what it originally meant - or its literal meaning - cause then it simply doesn't make sense :) I don't agree with the "high re-entries = lots of frustration" comment. You don't quite seem to grasp that there's a huge group of customers who can't get fast enough games and want more action. Do you really think the industry trend of faster games - especially faster JP SNG games - doesn't have anything to do with the customer demands? Not everyone has the same approach to poker, fortunately I'd say, cause that's what still makes the games great :) Not sure if your last line is meant as a joke, but such a promo can be great for everyone, and I would assume you appreciate softer games? :) Check the latest poker release notes. GothMoth
@Stubbe-Unibet sorry that you are the man to which I have to moan about all these things. With great respect to your job I think that there are still several issues(more important than few resilient bugs) which are being neglected for months/years. Players appeals - less here as many grinders simply quited lately and more on the official 2+2 thread with more than1000 pages, aren't taken into consideration or given false hopes or low priority. It's not only one or two changes(or lack of such) which I'm opposed to as a player. I also have the firm belief that the changes aren't good for the game in long-term. I've played non-stop from 2008 on more than 50 different poker-sites on various networks - seen many rise and fall.1. Payout situation and the debates/promises/considerations, percentages and so on, which deserve yet another thread, but not in the private UAT section this time(as we're no more than 3-4 active MTT players left there , which is more than indicative!2. The Hexapros are another subject- way too broad and but this time controversial. Their introduction produced a massive decline in SNGs High-rake and short-levels make them practically unbeatable, but for the recreational gambler who used to play a SNG or couple of cash hands they are more lucrative thus leaving the true poker tables to mostly to the regs.3. The hyper/turbo/mega/ultra fast formats transition to MTTs... Less and less tourneys providing actual play. On Unibet the things go in the other direction(but to extremes) too - 300-500-1000bb starting stacks to some tournaments which I wonder who register from level1.4. The eternal cash game problem solved everywhere, but not on Unibet : the 50bb players which double up and leave... Hit and runners/reseaters aren't the types most want to see at the same seat taking their win away from the table.5. And for desert - true responsible gaming control which(implemented years or even a decade ago by the leading poker platform). The option to exclude/include oneself from some formats or even to reduce/increase limits/stakes. Why this is benifactory for the pokersite as well @Brocky explained very well in one of his posts... I will try to summarize: the sites should want active and playing. not broke poker players...
Stubbe-Unibet
Sorry to say, but you seem to be somewhat blinded by thinking the majority thinks and acts like you :) 1. As you know, we've moved more to discord, and I only post bigger stuff in the community uat section. Feel free to create a public thread dedicated to the payout subject :) 2. I don't know what you're trying to say. HexaPro's is the best thing to happen to Unibet poker for several years. They're pretty much twice the size of MTT's and SNG's combined. You can hate the gametype all you want, but that doesn't change anything - it's still performing amazing and it's obviously what the players want (in general). No one game type is for all players. I think this is a perfect example of us listening to the players, but you feeling the opposite, because you don't personally agree with it, and you really have to distinguish between the two :) 3. We have to adjust the schedule according to what the customers want, and there is a increased demand for faster tournaments. I also don't agree. I don't know the schedule well enough in lower buyin levels, but at least for the higher ones I don't think your feedback is applicable. One you can discuss more in detail with Leo, as I'm really not that much involved in the schedule (I suggest changes and additions once in a while, but that's really it). 4. This is high on the backlog and as mentioned a few times on the public part of the community, on 2+2 and uat group, it's been the plan to do this after the TTA and timebank improvements (and this is still the plan). Don't have an exact ETA, but it could very well be introduced along with the redesign :) we don't have unlimited resources and have to prioritize changes. 5. And as I've said, it's not that we don't want it, but it's not something that falls under the poker team. We're currently looking into adding the loss limit to more markets. Poker is a small part of the total product offering, and providing better tools cross-product will of course be the first priority. There is a chance we could possibly develop something together with Relax, but again, it comes down to prioritization where I feel we've got other more critical things, especially if the loss limit could be introduced on more markets. As you should know by now, I do genuinely appreciate all the feedback and I'm sorry you feel the way you do. It means I've failed. Maybe mostly at settling the expectations, as I do believe we've accomplished a lot the last year and with the redesign and new loyalty system all coming within the next 8 months (along with ratholing prevention and lots of other stuff), I definitely feel we're moving in the right direction. If you check release notes from past years and compare them to the ones for the last 12 months (all mine are here https://www.unibetcommunity.com/t5/forums/filteredbylabelpage/board-id/Poker/label-name/release%20notes), I think it's obvious that things have improved tremendously. You as an MTT player should have noticed it more than most (and will notice it even more when the redesigned MTT lobby is introduced) :) Check the latest poker release notes. GothMoth
@Stubbe-Unibet I just mentioned these 5 things in respond to your notion that was blinded by the single change that affected me most(and the majority for sure) the payouts...I for sure am aware that there are opinions contrary to mine, but also pretty confident that almost all regular tournament players share identical to my view. Unfortunately most of them already have chosen other sites(even 4 former ambassadors and all of them great MTT players). Some of the players stayed loyal for month suggesting few alternative solutions, but finally did the same. So many quited silently before that and show up only during UOS.So I realise again that I'm minority for the reason I played whole year exclusively here. Although my total winnings were cut in half and the brutal swings. Before I had only 1 month on -- in 3 years as MTT player, now every 2nd or 3rd are in the red... Regarding the hexapros and the faster MTTs the opinions differ a bit more. For sure the SNG regs which pay100 more rake than the fans of the jackpot games are not very fond of the change. Here I simply shared the general idea in the posts about this. I did the same about the cash games although to be honest my tactic is the one in question, for the PLO games at least.About the responsible gaming I hardly can imagine any player which will be against such a thing. Again @Stubbe-Unibet you have my admiration and respect for the job of improving Unibet Poker. Considering the great ammount of resolved issues the personal, but professional atiitude and the answers to the numerous posts your dedication is remarkable
Stubbe-Unibet
Sorry if I came across a bit harsh in the previous post. Stressful these days with the ddos attacks. I get your point, and I'm not saying everything is perfect or every prioritization decision has been flawless - no one is perfect, not even the two of us ;) In regards to the MTT payout structure, you know that I personally agree it isn't perfect today, but the numbers (also before Corona) have been looking pretty good and constantly improving (a lot of stuff comes into play here of course, and other game types have been doing better as well). We haven't lost that many high-volume players either to be honest. Anyway, we got threads dedicated to this topic, and I don't think you should give up on it, despite no visible movement on this particular one :) 2 Check the latest poker release notes.
