6.Do not play if you are stressed or preoccupied with other issues

7.Ask your self was that the best way to play that hand.

8.Have fun and enjoy your poker games.

9.Try to vary your playing style.

10.Don't go on tilt if you get a bad beat just leave table and come back later.

Just some observations please add your thoughts:smileyvery-happy:

What if I said:

1. Play more hands, learn to play them, figure out what hands you can and cannot play, preferably at stakes you can aford losing some money until you get better.

2. Focus on one game and master it.

3. Try to formulate strategies that work on the entire playerpool and deviate when necessary.

4. Take notes.

5. Ask people/friends/coaches to analize some of your plays, you will never be honest with yourself.

6. Don't make excuses to slack off, if other problems affect your game fix those problems.

7. Ask other people how they would have played the hand and their reasoning. Try to figure out the advantages and disadvantages your and their play.

8. Treat poker seriously, put in the work.

9. Be consistent with your playing style. Don't start doing fancy stuff because you feel like doing it.

10. Y U HEF to be mad, it's only a game. Control yourself and keep playing u pansy.

IMO there is no set of tips that will help everyone, people need to work on different things, they react differently, approach the game in different ways, have different goals,  enjoy different things. Each person needs to find what works for them. Seeing what worked for other people is a good starting point though.

Apparently what works for me is making sure I get it in bad against you :P

No more playing good hands, 9 high flips are the future :)

Seriously I agree. What works for one person wont work for another and it would be a very boring game if we all played exactly the same game.

You can exchange UO tickets again all is unicorns and rainbows in Unibet land.

For some people it's even better if they never read a strategy book/watch stream but instead learn from trial & error. Everyone learns differently, but the beautiful thing is we all have access to unlimited resources, thanks to the internet. Find what works best for you & focus on that method.

I debate
Should I smile like everything's good and pretend that life is great
Or should I let the world see the real me and not hide this pain
I tried to be like the rest of y'all, sorry I just can't
I'ma probably die this way

For people that think internet poker is rigged just don't play its oxymoronic.

Have fun, if you don't like it why play it?

If you don't play for a living doesn't matter if you lose or win :) you are here to have a good time.

If you do play for a living, stay away from casino games and sports betting, will do miracles for your bankroll.

For strategy just play the gam, analyze it, if you have no clue what you're doing post in the forum, talk with poker friends and take a coach or subscribe to a poker school online.

If you want books or a website to refine your skill send me a pm and i will point you in the direction i think is the best.

In reply to TTABKAT       .Why would anybody play at any poker site if they truly believe play is rigged.

We all remember bulldog poker but that was more an exception than a rule.

I believe that all the major poker sites try to ensure that play is as random as possible.

Also makes me laugh when people rant when playing a freeroll that it is rigged.:smileywink:
