  1. I'm sat here laughing at how pathetic today has been.  Literally the most ridiculous card distribution against the worst reggy type players you've ever seen, just insane how they'd ISO 70% but every time I'm limping a strong hand they would check and vice versa, every time I made a c/r bluff it would get called, every time I did it with value I'd get ❤️♥️❤️ed in some other way.  Limp/calling ISO's with 87s and the flop is AJJ without fail, do the same with KJ and it's A84.  Should easily have been up 5-10bi today.

Final hand of the day sums it up nicely, bad reg puts in 18bb with minimal equity and just gets the dream.

I played a mixture of really well and really badly in places today, super frustrating as it's probably the worst I've played for ages but whatever, try again later.

  2. Just a mini update on the bankroll challenge - Ran horrid at the 25s when I moved up and lost a bunch more at the Hexas but I've clawed a load back over the past week and a half.  I hit the 1k mark after being down to around €200 and decided to shot take the 25s again but I played so so so so badly earlier I cut it short after losing 2.5bi, will have some food and try again.

Volume has been fairly low, found myself playing games online, PS4, watching netflix, basically anything but grinding.  Must re-focus!  Was up around 2-3bi earlier where I 3b QQ, guy snap clicks it back and I mis-click call when I meant to jam.  Flop comes AAK and I win the minimum vs 42s.  Very next hand at 1500 vs 500 I get coolered and ended up losing the game before losing the next 4-5 running bad but playing worse.  If only I'd jammed...

  3. That was a €10 game @joebanan

Decided to go back to HU tonight and stop chasing that Hexa jackpot.  Really weird session, played 48 games with maybe 30 vs one guy who was just so so so so bad.  He likely would've had more luck just shoving every hand because he was so transparent post-flop it was almost boring to play because it was so easy to just exploit the hell out of him.  Ended up winning 36 of the 48 for 21.8bi profit (€218 ) and I would even have the audacity to say I ran pretty bad in the games vs other opponents than him but I'm obviously not complaining.

I want to get back streaming tomorrow with the bankroll challenge but my sleeping pattern is all over the place at the moment.

The lovely Hexa session where I only win 1.5x and not many at that:

    The comeback, heads up:

  4. There is something about Unibet where I seem to either win big or can't win a game when I log in, far more often than would seem logical, but what can you do?  Had ridiculous beats in the first few games which led to this:

4 hours later I log in to try and start the grind before playing maybe 25-30 Hexas without winning a single game above 1.5x.  Dropped a bunch today with my favourite hand being the button opening 2nd hand to 40, me 3b jamming 500 from the SB and him snap calling.  Well played sir.

    I knew I should've just stayed away 🤣

Another early quit for the same reasons as yesterday. Pretty much everything that could go wrong went wrong. All my Bluff 3-bets got 4bet, all my postflop bluffs got called down. I lost every significant Allin. When I was down to 1 BB I won the next 8 Allins and still bubbled. I busted several times going into the bubble as the bigstack...

I am overexaggerating a little bit of course. I thought my mindset was strong but it is in fact rather horrible. Definitely something I have to work on. I think the main problem is that I have no data from the past confirming that I am a winning player on the 25€s, leaving me with the theoretical possibility of beeing a losing player. Given the fact that I have spottet some leaks in even some of the reg´s game I don´t really think that but I have been wrong about this sort of thing in the past.

They're literally the worst sessions because you feel so helpless.  How many €25 5 mans do you reckon run per evening that have at least 1 rec in?  I've played a fair few of them before but I always get bored waiting for 9 tables to fill up so always just move my action elsewhere.

    Analysis by a Rec.

    1. It's the first hand and the button raises, I'm out of position, I fold.......100%...........

    2. ...... BUT, if it was 97s I might have called or.......

    3. .....  if I'd seen villain play before and knew he was loose, I might have called...........

    4. .......or I might just call because I feel like it.............

    5. .......or I might think "They're all trying it on at this level" and called..........

    6. ......or I might just fold. I'm out of position and going to have to act first on the flop, basically not having a single clue about my opponent or what he's likely to have or do.

    7.       I don't play Hexas.😃

    8.      Which brings me to the point @GamesDean made earlier, if you'd folded you wouldn't know wether you'd been lucky or not. You were lucky to hit the flop so hard but unlucky villain hit it slightly harder. On balance I'd say you were 0lucky. When he raises you've really no idea what he's got, an overpair, AK, 44, a flush draw, overcards, absolutely nothing, anything, whatever. You can't really fold so just have to go with it. Definitely 0lucky.

    9.     You certainly look busy and very involved in the maths etc, good luck in your efforts.👍

Easy defend imo Gr1z, getting 3.5/1 on a call for just 4% more of our stack.  The lower stakes you play and more likely the opponents are to overvalue their hands the wider we should be defending.

In a €1 game not a single rec is not going broke with AA on a 994cc but in a €100 a reg will only look to get 2 streets of value to protect against 9x.

  7. Grind has been pretty quiet the last few days hence the lack of updates.  I've managed to put together a graph of my all time 25s results for heads up though.

    :cash:

There was a report support sent me that broke results down by individual game so I've requested it for the other stakes and will see post when I've got.  Really motivating to look at when things aren't going too well.

@Brockywell, table looks nice. But what about 'guy' like me with WR 15-20% ? What is my ROI (-40% or just close to -60%) :scared:

My advice to you is to win the jackpot in the first 10 games then never play again 🤣

  9. I won 4 out of 5 Hexas today and profited 1bi as they were all 1.5x.  After your 35% win ratio and losing 12bi it made me wonder what our WR needs to be in these games to be profitable so I did a quick calculation:

    image.png.990cb89263c6ac71dc10d8f3f1e036ab.png

Pretty crazy to think that 36% is effectively break-even with a shed load of variance to go with it.  Anything less than 37% WR would make these completely unattractive to grind and how many players are going to be winning at 37-38%+ at the 10s/25s+?

maybe it's time for a netflix or chill day or study day instead of a poker day and come back after 1 or 2 days?

Yeh I'm taking a break at the moment.  Contemplating streaming tonight and having a 10bi shot at the 25s with the profit from the challenge so far then dropping down to the 10s should I lose that.

While I do think it's good to take breaks, I hate doing it because ultimately it's just wasted time, especially when I'm still playing well.
