  1. Just quick passing by, still grinding away but eventhough I've been off for the past 2 weeks I've not really put more volume in compared to last month lol, bit dissapointing I guess but I do have played more on RIO so that's maybe a reason. Haven't been running the best either lately with a few dissapointing sessions, both runbad and play bad from my part. Few more days to go for the month and then I'll request the stats again for July.

Have finished the From The Ground Up course again on RIO so happy I got that done before going back to work this week. My work hours have been reduced from 37 to 32 meaning I only work 4 days, Mon-Thur, instead of 5 and normally I just work 5h on a Friday. Happy enough for it now as long as I don't end up losing the job in the long run of course but for now it gives me 3 weekend days where I can focus a bit more on poker.

Played a session today, happy with how I played even with the few weird or bad spots I encountered. But hands like these make up for it: Villain is some kind of aggro regfish not sure but kept 3 betting me, called his flop cbet, turn got checked and then he shoved this and I overshoved for his remaining 66p and HE FOLDED :wow: and also insta disappeared from the table, ragequit? Hope I'm not getting flagged up for chip dumping 🤣

All the best of luck for the remainder of July everyone 👍

  2. The mental game is something I understand and also experience in good and bad ways but it isn't something I have actually read up on or watched videos about. We all know poker has variance and the main thing you can do is accept that there will be good days and definitely there will be bad days. You kinda have to switch your emotions off when playing and keep thinking about making good decisions. Something I've noticed when watching training videos of pro's playing live (as in real time online) is that they barely blink when villains suck out etc. Play like a robot as they say lol.

If you really struggle there are books and probably videos online about this subject if you want to improve your mental game. Your post shows very common mental game issues most people struggle with I guess. Chasing losses is known enough in the poker world (and gambling) but sometimes it's best to just quit and even take a day off or more. Thats what I sometimes do, if I don't feel like it I don't play and if I have been losing 'too much' I sometimes just take a day or 2 off playing poker just to kinda reset the mind. I still watch poker videos in the meantime to keep the poker brain going but keep away from playing myself as it would just add 'stress' and that's what I was trying to avoid.

I remember like 10 years ago or w/e I was playing NL100 on stars like a fish I was back then and I won 10 buy-ins in one day and I felt amazing.

Then I lost 10/12 buy-ins the next day so back with both my feet on the ground 🤣 hated the game haha

  3. Decided to give up on the rake race, had some connection issues with the RIO poker client on Thursday evening and didn't play much on Friday either so Im now in 4th and 60 points behind 3rd which would take me 4-6h depending on how many tables are going but thats also without 3rd one gaining points so not worth my time and effort for only €100 extra. I'll play some more to get the next pay jump in weekly rewards which is a personal rakeback thing and standing at €30 now but I just need a few more points to get €45 so I'll just play for that and thats it. Also not gained anything in the last week so bankroll on RIO has been a bit the same, battling regs is not worth it and yesterday I was down €50 after being up but then losing like 3-4 flips in a row.

Played like an hour - hour and half on Unibet on my Ipad last night too, 2 to 4 tables at NL50 and was up €264, lots of recs playing! Shows you what a waste RIO is to me as even with the €50 loss on RIO I was up a decent amount for the day.

Today will be a bit more theory as I also did yesterday and then more play as gf is at work all afternoon. Hope to get in some decent volume tonight. Good luck everyone and have a nice weekend.

  4. Going to start this topic of with a quote of @Andy-Unibet on 2+2:

    @Andy-Unibet wrote:

I'd personal love to see time delayed and anonymous downloadable hand histories so players could work on their own game but can also see the pitfalls of adding the feature.

I just wonder what other people think of this who currently play on Unibet. Personally I'm not sure if I really like the idea of having full hand histories even if they are delayed and anonymous. Obviously the pitfall is that data can be input in any tracker / software and you end up with some kind of ability to track pool tendencies or possible work out how some people play if you maybe compare hand histories with previously recorded footage. I guess higher stakes / buy-ins might be more prone to this? Also remember some people barely ever or never change their alias so this would make em more vulnerable imo.

But I also don't want to discard the whole idea of hand histories, at the moment there is a history tab in our poker client profile which is pretty useless. You can look up a limited amout of hands I think but you only get an annoying text format which you can't copy for obvious reasons. But you can't order all hands by date, nor pot size etc which should be working? but it doesn't so looking up a hand is pretty annoying. A hand replayer there would be nice too.

One idea I like is where you could select lets say 10 - 20 (more?) hands per day whilst playing and you would get these send to you or they would be available in the hand history tab in a way you can copy them maybe? Having a hand replayer on this forum would be nice too but I know all these things need developed and can't just be done in a short pediod of time. The way of doing it now where I need to take a screenshot whilst playing if I want to share a hand is all pretty clumsy.

A possibility of sharing Unibet Poker hands would also advertise the Poker business side of Unibet I guess.

  5. Time for an update, been playing more on RIO than on Unibet because of a rakerace but not too sure if Im going to keep going for it. Top 3 gets paid (€500/€250/€100) and we have 4 people going for it me included. All the rest is far behind in points. First is a bit ahead of the rest so its a bit of a race for the 2nd and 3rd price and currently Im 4th after being 2nd etc. It requires a lot of playing for little return and the games are laggy as hell as the pool is so small we kinda just play against each other. Starting to doubt it is worth my time. Was hoping one would give up lol.

Have played a bit on Unibet and bankroll is about €2200 now, steadily winning on RIO as well and doubled my bankroll since start of the month almost up €400 now and combined bankroll almost at 3k. Rakerace is quite daft and distracted me a bit of the theory side of poker I was meant to do but being off I thought I give it a shot. See what happens for next few days.

Here a couple of random hands of 'rungood' on Unibet, we all like them right? 😏

  6. Funny playing these double trouble tourneys as saw a few regs who also play NL50 tables so good to know they are losing money 🤣

And binked both of them lol +€440, just about got there for the super double trouble but in the money is in the money! Was down a bit at cashgames again today :dissatisfied: but now bankroll is sitting just under €2000 again, woop.

  7. @Legend_Kileer  @GamesDean  @conmebol99  thanks for the visit and the comments all 😃

I agree that mental game is a special part of a poker players arsenal and it can affect you in all kind of different ways. So far I feel pretty impartial about the downswing and the bad shot I had at NL100 probably because I still have enough money sitting in my bankroll and I'm pretty confident I can grind my way out of this. My game has evolved a lot since I started again almost 6 months ago now and I think I can see myself as a winning player now (even if its marginal) but that doesn't mean there isn't space for improvement as I still make bad plays and also recognise that I can still improve in a lot of spots vs decent players.

I still enjoy playing and if I could improve my game let's say by the end of the year so I could play NL100 on a more regular base and with a solid game then I'd be happy with that. As long we don't go broke it's all good 😏

  8. Not too much happening on Unibet, was up for the month but then lost 6 buy-ins again on Saturday lol which I have so far recovered 3 of, have played a bit more on RIO as seem to be running a bit better there on NL20, up €330 for the month there and they have a rakerace going on this week so depending on traffic I might play a bit more there when possible.

Wasn't going to bother with part 5 of the July Mission as need to end up in the money during 2 consecutive days in a MTT but kinda managed to reach the final table of the Sirius Banzai Bounty twice so I'll finish up that mission now for the 500 bonus points and €5 banzai CG ticket. Been buying €5 hexapro tickets with my bonus points but haven't had much success with winning lots of them so think I'm going to switch back to the €2 hexapro ones and hopefully get a better return there.

Also have the double trouble and super double trouble freeroll to play so fingers crossed I bink em both for a potential €440 bankroll boost  but I'm keeping my expectations low haha. Bit of a weird month so far, think with losing a bit at NL100 it feels like I haven't got anywhere this month as it screws the overall balance but don't think NL50 has been that bad overall, 2 weeks to go and we will find out when I request the results of the month. So for the meantime, keeping on grinding!

  9. Can not seem to get away from this runbad stretch which kinda started when I took a shot at NL100 😞  ended the day yesterday with almost 6 buyins down at NL50, very frustrating period of time, every pot I enter with some value hand always ends in disaster, rivers in particular have been very brutal lately where villains hit there 4 or 2 outers.

This is the last hand I played last night when I finally had enough of it, not the best example and it is what it is.
UTG opened and I overcalled with whale in the BB, BB checked, UTG cbets I call, BB raises UTG folds and I just chip it as nothing else to do with SPR.
Happy to see the turn, river not so much.

    Unibet this has to stop!

    Now please!

  10. So haven't played as much as I thought I would being a holiday but can't really be an antisocial *beep* all day long when gf is home as well 😛

Battled a break even stretch for most of the week since last update not making much progress, not winning flips and facing lots of regs there top ranges... not much to be said. Friday was a better day and just been playing on my phone for most part but managed to get up over 4 buy-ins at NL50 and now bankroll is back at €1820, back in the profit as started the month with €1800 lol.

2 hands vs a whale at the same table

Hope we can start building up the bankroll again from here on and I have a decent weekend, still got another week of holiday to go and Im still working my way through From The Ground Up and watching other videos so eventhough volume has been a bit low I've not given up lol.

  11. Not much luck either today, barely started a session and lost 2 buy-ins vs the same reg 😞
    luckbox1.png.69f705dec6a6926167c97f624bc677d2.png
Then lost AK vs his QQ, no screenshot as standard.
Then the same reg went AIPF vs another person, all these hands happened like within 5min of each other lol, when is my turn again Unibet?
luckbox2.png.a69a806ea8afd6d6524780a682423680.pngAnd not all bad, ran better at end of session for some damage limitation, this one was a nice one:
StrFlush.png.920820bb36235834d54a6fb16149143b.pngMight play some more hands later so will see, Unibet runbad continues, €80 up at RIO at NL20 in last few days so it's not all doom & gloom 😀

  12. @Merenitsu  I hate it when others are on a massive heater. I often see some regs at my cash tables and they double up and then triple up in no time and I look at the hands they played and they just hit the best hand over and over in a short time whilst I'm just folding my way to crap hands 🤣
Hard to deal with at times as all you can do is just let it pass by and wait for your moment and just keep playing solid. But I would be raging if I lost 4/4 big multipliers 😀
