  1. so here's a good one for you @YugoBoss: Without looking it up on ProPokerTools or such like, just the first figure that comes into your head, what's my opponent's equity on this flop? What do you think 10%? 15%?
  2. I was a yes on the assumption that it was also coming to Omaha. At holdem I can't even cope with 100BB stacks. Shove/fold boy!
  3. I'm afraid the PokerIsRigged community worked out a counter to that one years ago. It's not that poker is rigged *against them*, that would be preposterous (although, interestingly, that's what they would claim until someone pointed out to them how preposterous that was), it's that poker is rigged to generate more action flops, turns, rivers, setups, whatever - regardless of who's playing. The counter to that argument is, of course, why would sites bother: isn't poker action enough without investing all that extra time and money and risking being caught and losing your slice of the pie? I guess people may think that about Omaha because the turns and rivers shift equity so much in comparison with Hold Em, and people aren't necessarily used to it. I mean, listen to this guy moaning about having his set of aces cracked:
  4. A whole month, huh? Cor! That's a lot of hands, right? I mean . . . could be as many as 100k hands if you were playing A LOT. So I tell you what. Go to this website: https://www.primedope.com/poker-variance-calculator/ And put in 100k in the no. of hands to simulate box, then pick any win rate you like and look at the graphs. Just to be clear - that simulation: that really is random. I mean there'd be literally no point in setting up a simulator like that unless it was genuinely simulating an RNG. So there's no politicis or commerce or big naughty company trying to pretend it's random when it isn't - paying an independent RNG-checking organisation to accredit its RNG as random when it isn't . . . blah blah blah. Look at those graphs: all the different outcomes there can be for a money-making player over that month. It's crazy. And that, my friend, is what randomness really looks like. Way, way beyond anything we can fathom with the everyday understanding equipment that is our minds.
  5. For some reason when you select the filter tabs "UOS" and "qualifier" the UOS qualifiers don't turn up. Today's Xmas mission is to play UOS or UOS qualifiers so unless people search manually they're not going to find them.
  6. "Points until target"? I've been working this out manually but it's a fiddly extra layer of complexity. And I can tell you from experience of coaching poker players in the past that plenty of them have problems with percentages.
  7. And now die by the sword, live by the sword. Bing Bong Bing Bong. sadly this didn't happen during happy hour for the high hand promotion, so no bonus. But still, you don't often get paid with a royal flush.
  8. Wow - thanks Stubbe. I got up especially early to complete it too! Well, first of all thanks for crediting me anyway, but perhaps some feedback would be to have the bonus expiry in hours/minutes/whatever. I really had no idea it had expired.
  9. @Andy-Unibet Hi Andy, I cleared my rake 350/get 70 bonus step around 10am this morning and don't seem to have received my bonus. I had until 10:20am to clear it. Have checked my "All" tab under transaction history and nothing is there.
  10. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Just lost nut full to straight flush. Needless to say, he also won the high hand promotion
  11. And indeed you did! Thanks again, structures look great
  12. Well, I guess this justifies my dodgy call: though quite why they have to ALWAYS hit their flush draw against trip Aces, I'm not so sure. Still, will be useful practice for the next three nights of community league . . .
  13. I've currently got a rake bonus running which expires on Saturday, and another one on hold. The trouble is I'm going away for five days on Saturday. If my first rake bonus expires, will the second one start up immediately, or can I choose when to start it? If it starts automatically after the other one expires, the chances are I won't be able to get either of them!
  14. @Andy-Unibet OK, got it. Thanks. It doesn't come under the "poker" tab only the "All" tab. Maybe that tab should be called "All/other" or something, given that there's seemingly an exhaustive set of other tabs, except it isn't because this payment didn't come under any of them, only "All".
  15. Have they gone out yet? Can't find them in my poker transaction history
  16. sorry meant to say this is on IPadOS 15.0.2 but as it's never been a problem before I doubt this is a bug specific to that platform
  17. Similar problem for me just now in the Sputnik Omaha 2 rebuy. Felted on the last hand of the buy in period, as we go into the R/A break, I press the rebuy and then the add on buttons, and it didn't accept and said I busted the tournament. Never seen this before.
  18. My forum filter seems to be forgetting its settings in between logins (desktop - windows). Am I missing something or is there no way to make the settings/checkboxes sticky?
  19. @Stubbe-Unibet are you also interested in iPad bugs?
  20. Good stuff. I think multiple re-entries is definitely the way to go with Omaha MTTs (regardless of buy in amount). There's so much variance it makes sense.
  21. Yeah I think you're right. Given that it's a re-entry it should be 8000. I think it needs to be that rather than 6000 because Omaha should be deeper in general, and the blinds are basically fixed at 30/40/50 etc. So it's good to have a level or two where you have 200BB or so. I was also wondering whether 10k was too much because when I played about with the average stack projection on the bubble I was guessing only 25% reentries and I think it would be higher than that. So 8k starting stacks works against that. What d'you reckon @Leo-Unibet?
  22. OMG I love this link. Can we have the tomato with the pitchfork and also the Cockerel please?
  23. The deep space certainly starts well enough, but it's testament to just how important blind level is that even the 8m levels of deep space isn't quite enough towards the bubble. Hence my complaint that for a "blue ribband" series like the UOS, 6m levels are ridiculously short. But I agree that the later 12m levels of the Sputnik tend to drag a bit once you get to 4 or fewer players and the average stack size is back up again. How about this structure blind levels: level 1-7: 12min level 8-14: 10min thereafter: 8m Starting stack 10,000 chips Up to 2 re-entries late reg/re-entry: end of level 7 (i.e. 90mins) [optional] bounty: 50%/50% Even if you late reg, at level 8 you'll still have 65+BB. Bubble should kick in around 3.5-4 hours, which is fine for a 6pm start with a good structure - and equal roughly to the better structured hold em tournaments. From there, things should be done in 6-7 hours total, and the average stack size should remain around 40-50BB all the way down, which is a good amount for an Omaha tournament (i.e. still a decision to make on the flop in a 3-bet pot)
  24. Just seen @GothMothlike this post and it reminded me that I wanted to see if there was any post-UOS analysis. Obv I didn't play in the tournament, but I noticed that the earlier time/longer blinds didn't seem to push much more traffic to it. So do you feel it was a success, @Leo-Unibet? One caveat to this is that I'd make the longer blind/earlier start Omaha tournament a freezeout rather than rebuy, and possibly make it the €25 stakes, not €50. Making it a rebuy makes it very expensive (less traffic), and longer, when the argument against having longer blind levels was that it made the tournament too long. So could that be an option next time? BTW, one option I'd definitely try for the longer blinds structure is re-entry (with or without bounties). Omaha suits this format (as you're far more likely to risk going broke in Omaha), and on certain competitor sites I think the bounty with multiple re-entries is a winner. I'm guessing Unibet has a policy of not allowing more than one re-entry?
  25. It's a screenshot of getting KK three hands out of five, none of which lost. That's neither bad, nor a beat.
