  1. Much beer was consumed this evening, so its possible my Friday launch will be aborted lol But thanks for the follow!
  2. Nice BR graph ... you know I'm a man who likes a sexy BR graph :)
  3. I've been sitting on this news for a bit as the details were all worked out, but I'm thrilled to announce that Unibet has been kind enough to offer partnership to the #MotherShip. As you can imagine, I snap-called! Its been a wild ride so far on the #MotherShip. We are closing in on a year of streaming the #FreerollChallenge, and in that year we set a BR max of €370.71, and we went from playing freerolls for 2c bounties all the way up to playing €5 and €10 buy-ins. And its all still a freeroll. I'm thrilled to have the support of Unibet now, and eternally grateful for the support of @IanSimpson, @DaVitsche and everyone who has ever taken a ride with me. I'll be playing bigger games on a more regular basis in 2020, and looking to build my bankroll even more. I'm also very much motivated to get to a Unibet live sometime in 2020, so look for me to play more Unibet Open and UK Tour Qualifiers as well. If you haven't joined us for a flight yet, head over to MotherShip Poker on Twitch and click follow to be notified of our next liftoff! We'll be flying as deep as we can into the Unibet Poker Universe, so "Cya out there" ...
  4. @AntManBhas started to stream at https://www.twitch.tv/antman_b/ Its a lot of fun
  5. So, we have "reagular tournaments" and we have "Nanos" ... but there's less in between. The €1 and €2 Singularities are great, as are the €1 and €5 Falling Star Bounties, but there's a "gap" in the main tournament series on Unibet, IMO. The Nano series is literally the reason I am playing on Unibet (shoutout to @IanSimpson for the whole idea of Nanos), but I've moved into "no-man's land" bankroll wise now ... I played a lot of Titan Nano games, and put in a lot of rebuys and add-ons ... and I had my share of success with 2 wins and close to 100% ROI rate (yes @DaVitsche that's working it out right 🤣). But with €200 in my BR, the €10 Titan is way out of my BR. I played a lot of Dwarf Star Bounty Nano games, and I had some good success, with 1 win and more than 70% ROI. But at €25, the Dwarf Star is WAY out of my range now.. I played a ton of Dark Matter Nano games, and had good success at all the buy-in levels, with 5 wins and a truly absurd ROI. But at €10, the Dark Matter is a super high-roller for me. I loved the Comet Nano, and crushed it at both buy-in levels. But at €50, the Comet is but a dream for the moment. I'm not whining ... I'm suggesting there should be versions of the "named" tournaments between Nano and the "big games" for bankroll growth. As I said above, I love the singularities and the falling stars, and I do well enoigh in them - I have +ROI in €1 and €2 Sings and €1 and €5 Falling Stars - but I feel like there's a lack of tournaments in the €1-€5 range, especially with structures like the Titan, Dark Matter, Comet, and Dwarf Star. The good news is, they all have very reasonable "medium" levels. To start, I propose "AU" as the name for the "medium" size, since 1 Astronomical Unit is the a very "medium" kind of measurement in our universe. So the Titan AU, at €1 rebuy/add-on is super attractive to my BR. At €2.50, the Dwarf Star AU is a lovely sized bounty event with an awesome structure. And at €1 and €5, the Dark Matter and Comet AU's are freezeouts I can drool over. There's not really a lack of "good tournaments" in the medium levels at Unibet, but there's a real gap between the Nano and "full" versions of the "marquee" tournaments, and I think its a gap that's easy to fill. I'll keep playiing Singularities and Falling Stars, but I long for the day I can play a Comet AU for €5 or a Dark Matter AU for €1, or play for some Dwarf Star Bounties at €2.50. What does everyone else thing? Do we need medium sized versions of the Titan, the Dark Matter, or the Dwarf Star? I think we do ...
  6. If you are interested in learning more about the elusive Elron66, I sat for this interview in my RL persona as Editor of PokerNews Canada. I bared my soul a bit about my poker and life journey, so if you've ever been curious what makes me tick, you might find some answers here. Chasing Poker Greatness - Lyle
  7. So close, but still so far. Unfortunately, close doesn't get you anything in poker, so busting two from the tickets in the IPO final was pretty painful. I used to think getting sucked out on was the worst way to go out of one of these. Turns out, the worst way to bust one of these is to play really well down to the final few sopts, then just completely lose your head with AQs in a spot where you have NO NEED to be in the hand at all and bust because of a really questionably timed move. I still have one more €33.00 Qualifier to IPO Seat-Only ticket in the bank, and I plan to keep pounding on the IPO qualifiers and flips to keep on trying. I won't be able to play the final this weekend becuase I'm travelling for work, but I'll be back in the mix on Sun Sep 15th for sure. The #MotherShip will be on the ground for the next week as I head off to Winnipeg to cover the 2019 Fall PlayNow Poker Championship from Club Regent Casino. It's a fun series I've covered for PokerNews Canada for several years now, with two marquee two day events at $600 and $1100 Cdn, with two other smaller side events thrown in for fun. Barring any unforseen technical glitches or stray asteroids while we are away, the MotherShip will be back in flight on Wednesday Sep, 11 for a few hours of Unibet Poker action including more qualifiers for IPO sats. Cya next week, and come fly the friendly Elron!
  8. Ya I was running so well ... absurdly well lol ... I hope you come hang out more as well ... and frankly, that's part of why I'm embarrassed lol ... the KT>AA hand is an example of how great I was running, but maybe also of how "not so great" I was playing lol Thank you for coming to play though ... the turn out eas really humbling for me :)
  9. A lot has happened on the #MotherShip since we last landed here at the Community. I remember how excited we were when we cracked that €150 barrier. Now, the max bankroll is up well over €300, though our current BR is somewhat less than that. The road from €150 to over €200 was a long one with a lot of treading water. But we finally cracked the €200, and next thing we knew it was €225, then €250, and within 48 hours, we'd cracked the €300 mark. Almost ALL of that incredible run from €200 to €300 was thanks to Bounty Badlands. I had a true sun-run for a few days in the €5 buy-in Falling Stars, and not only made some very good BR cash, but also gathered 98 points for 6th (currently) on the Low leaderboard. Our average buy-in now has moved up from the Nano levels into true "low stakes" poker with an average buy-in this past week of over €2. The #MotherShip community has evolved to a degree I couldn't have imagined, and I'm ever grateful to my viewers. The recent #ArmyOfElron developments are truly humbling, and the cherry on top of that wonderful sundae was the freeroll @Stubbe-Unibet arranged for us this past Friday. It was a great turn out with more than 400 people playing, but somehow I actually went and won the damn thing, which was honestly a bit embarrassing lol. Nonetheless, it gives me an extra €10 ticket to vie for Unibet Open Paris seats with. I currently have six in the bank, and I plan to hit them hard in coming weeks. But speaking of tickets, the current obssession is the International Poker Open. We have 4 tickets for the €33 Qualifier to IPO Seat-Only €300 9 TIX, and the first chance to book a seat is Sunday Sep 1st. I have plenty of rebuys and add-ons, so here's hoping I can book a seat on the first on try. If I book a seat, I'm 100% booking plane tickets and hotel the same day. There's really no way I can justify, in pure EV terms, a trans-atlantic flight for a series where the Main is a €300 buy-in. But there's all sorts of "value" in life beyond the monetary, and I have to think the positive "life value" of a week of poker in Dublin is sort of off the charts. I mean, assuming I get a seat at some point, the absolute WORST case scenario is that I have a nice vacation in Dublin and play some poker, but have to pay for the trip myself. When your "worst case scenario" is everyone else's "nice vacation" its almost certainly a "freeroll" with huge equity, even if that equity isn't strictly measured in dollars and cents. I'm getting ahead of myself, of course ... I haven't even won the seat yet, but come by Sunday at #MotherShipPoker to see if I can do it. If its been awhile since you checked us out, or if you've never taken a ride on the #MotherShip at all, this Sunday will be a great time to beam on board and see if we can book a trip to Dublin!
  10. I like TelronJilly and MeowRon myself :) FlyMe is a good one too. The creativity of some of them is really amazing lol
  11. Just wanted to say TY to everyone who came out and made this a HUGE success. I'm a bit embarrassed that I actually went ahead and won the damn thing though. GG to everyone, and I hope this will be a more regular occurrence on the stream. With more than 400 runners I'm more than pleased with the turnout, and it was a blast to stream it. I'll be back again Sunday at twitch.tv/elron66/ for the IPO Seat only final, which I have three tickets for. Thank you again to @Stubbe-Unibet for setting all this up and to everyone at Unibet for making it happen!
  12. Here it is ... show up dressed as your best Elron alias :) Password will be released 30 min before the start of the Elronament on my Twitch channel at twitch.tv/elron66
  13. It's ON! I've just received a private message and the tournament will be called "€50 Elron66 Freeroll". I don't see it there yet, but look tomorrow. and tune in to twitch.tv/elron66 tomorrow at 6PM CET for more action from #MotherShipPoker; I'll do my best to show up dressed as ElronFudd, but in my case, I think TenJilly still qualifies as an "original Elron" ...
  14. This Bounty Badlands has been SO much fun ... I think I'm 5th on the Low leader board with 83 points ...
  15. I'll be streaming Friday Aug 30 starting at around 6PM CET ... an Elronament starting at around 7PM would be awesome ... and I think password is the way to go ... that will "encourage" people to check out the stream as well. My core group of viewers would probably have 10-12 people playing it, so getting extra "random" people would be terrible ... shorty notice on first one might not get much action, but could do more PR for later ones ...
  16. It's a mystery ... but I'm all-in on the Elronament ...
  17. I'm consumed with WSOP editing but I can't wait to do another #StreamLeague after WSOP is over. Oh, and nice to see you catching the tournament bug a bit :)
  18. I do try to be entertaining on my stream. I try to play good poker, but you know, sometimes you just have a brain fart four-handed on the final table and decide to do everything in your power to commit ICM suicide. At least I figure out pretty quickly how dumb it was :). Somehow, I ended up as the chip leader ... Watch What the HELL was I thinking here? Even I don't know ... from elron66 on www.twitch.tv

  20. I started this journey in late November 2018, and the truth is, I started it because it would have been a couple days before I could have made my first deposit, so I just started playing some of the "Bounty Freerolls" Unibet was offering at the time. I binked a few 2c bounties on that first day, and after looking at the rake-free Nano schedule, I realized I MIGHT be able to freeroll a bankroll from nothing. It was a tough slog to start with, and I sat with a <€10 BR for ages with the odd small score in a Nano. My first "big score" came from a min-cash in a UOS event that I won a ticket for, but I struggled with a small BR until things started to go my way in January. Since the beginning of 2019, my BR has grown from <€10 to my current high of about €155. One of the things that got me interested in Unibet was the fun backgrounds they have for tables, and I decided early on to have my table "ramp up" with my bankroll. So I started off playing for pennies on the beat-up crate in the back alley, graduated to the ratty poker table in the rundown saloon when I hit about €20, and once my BR capped €100, I moved to a nice home game in the basement on the pool table. Now that I've cracked €150, I may need to find a new game. I started streaming my journey in early February, and have been overwhelmed by the support I've found from Unibet players. I want to extend special thanks to Ian Simpson and David Vanderheyden for the host/raid support, as well as for the freerolls that have significantly helped me grow my roll. I've been a poker player at low-stakes for a decade or so, and recently was losing interest in online poker. Then I found Unibet, and the last few months have honestly been the most fun I've had playing online poker in a LONG time. In part, that's because I'm doing well and building a roll, no doubt ... but it's also because the poker on Unibet is fun. If you are looking for a new stream to check out, or just wanna make fun of my Canadian pronunciation of David Vanderheyden's name, come check me out. I'm still working out some of the details in terms of graphics, but you can also follow my journey on Twitter at #UnibetFreerollChallenge. I usually stream Mondays, and Wednesdays, as well as Fridays and Saturdays sometimes, starting around 11AM Mountain Time. Check us out, and beam up to the Mothership.
  21. Thanks for the love man ... i will post and intoductory post for the stream shortly ... just working out some "branding" stuff before I announce to the world lol Still new to the Unibet world, and so far I'm enjoying it a lot
