Adding Bounty to freerolls - opinions!

I think the addition of bounties as it now stands for Omaha freerolls - be it as little as 1 cent - is a good idea!

How about adding some bounties to NLHE freerolls too - even some of them? Any opinions on this one guys?

I reckon bounties may steady the playing and reduce the recklesness of some players, although it might do just the opposite to some. Well, this was a great argument 😂!

You're probably too young 🤪 but in ancient times we had bounties on every freeroll and it was a whooping 0,02. Not to mention sweet generic 1eMTT tickets ☺️ I think bounties in Omaha freeroll made the game little less crazy cause players actually try to play. More of a problem are IMO annoying sitouts. Now im playing one, we're ITM 43 left out of 360 and there are still few sitout players 😁.

Thanks @jerry for the feedback and insight into the ”golden” ancient times! Those ”whooping 0,02 bounties” sound (and generic MTTticket prizes evenmore) amazing 🙃!

And yes, the sitouts can be annoying!!

But to reiterate my previous point, I would advocate for more bounties on various freerolls to make the playing more focused and ”professional-like”! I think this would also contribute to better playing experience in terms of advancing one’s poker skills if playing truly become more concentrated and rational.

Thank you for the feedback. We're spending around €250,000 a year on freerolls at the moment and we're not looking to increase this figure 🙂 

I personally pushed for the current bounty to be added but I don't see any need to add further. Only alternative could be to remove the regular prizes and do bounty only

I don’t think removing the regular prizes would be a good option. And I guess there is no ”middle ground” either where i.e., some last prize position(s) in a given freeroll could be reasonably exhanged to 1-2 cent bounties? Just thinking here aloud…

We have freeroll today every hour at the evening. I just registered to second Omaha freeroll today [one was at 17cet and second 18cet] 😁. Is it bug or timezone change mess?

I hope the regular prizes dont go down anymore than what they are at the moment, As they have went down recently already.

I agree @Jimbob1972. And I’m not suggesting - maybe stating the obvious here - any decrease in the prize pools of the freeroll tournaments (if bounties are included in those). Rather, if there was some reasonable way to redistribute the total prize pool between ”prizes” and ”bounties”. 
 

I don’t know. Just my (only) two working brain cells trying to figure something innovative 🤓🙃
