Crushing HUSNG's mid-high stakes!

Thanks mate.

At the moment I put in no study away from the tables but I will analyse spots as they happen, think to myself "Ok that was good" or "That was a mistake" type thing.  One of the positives to playing HUSNGs is there are a lot less situations that can come up.  In a MTT or cash game you could open UTG, be 3 bet by MP, have the button flat then the BB cold 4 bets, a scenario you almost can't study for.  With HU, there's one opponent, 33bb deep max, there's a finite number of scenarios to prepare for so I don't really have to do much work away from the table as my fundamentals are fairly solid.

I remember who you are now you mentioned you got moved next to me in Dublin. Glad I didn’t get into any big Hu pots with you looking at your results! Very impressive. A side of my game that used to be good in years gone by when hardly anyone knew how to play, but needs a lot of work these days. Best of luck going forward!

I'm a watcher already, just seen you call that shove with 99 on the flush board and win, something I couldn't have done. That's why your a pro, nice call. Will watch more as and when.😃

20/12/18 - The day of ultimate tilt

Running bad in poker extends to more than just whether you're winning your flips or not, in my opinion anyway.  Today was one of those days.  I cannot remember a day I have felt this frustrated with poker, the relentless nature of what was being thrown my way has really taken it's toll today.  Against the aggressive players I was getting dealt absolute tosh, against the passive players I'm getting AA/KK and the smallest pots in history, it was ridiculous.  I feel like I missed more flops than humanly possible, I was getting check raised seemingly every time I was bluffing, the majority of the calls I was making post-flop were wrong and when I was finally getting my money in good I was getting 3 outered for fun.  To top it off, my client crashed towards the end.  When I loaded it back up 1 of the tables didn't appear and I only noticed on the lobby it was showing that flashing table sign, which I clicked on to come back to 70 chips.  I like what Unibet are trying to do as a site but their lack of investment in their software is the reason they will always be behind competitors.  I can deal with the crashes, I have my phone and tablet as back up if needed but ❤️♥️❤️ like that is not fair on the players, especially when we're paying a rake which isn't particularly cheap.

I streamed this morning and really enjoyed it; it definitely made me focus more and put in more volume than I otherwise would have, so I will be streaming again tomorrow.  I can add a microphone in if people would prefer.

Results

100 games at €25s, 54 wins, +€119

4.7% ROI

Hey man some cool updates! Haven't been able to make any of the streams as I've been away the past few days.

Some good results overall and seems like things are going right. The tilt side of things is something that I guess you'll have to keep working on, like you say as a professional it's not what you want, but I'm sure you can stamp it out.

Was just wondering your thoughts on the uniber structure for husng? I used to play a lot on stars before coming to Unibet, but since coming here I really gate the strycstruof the husng, probably mostly to do with it being different, but it's just more like a turbo so takes much longer to conplecogames than hypers elsewgels.

This has meant I've ended up playing 5 man's rather than heads up but I do miss the format.

Keep the updates coming man, Def add a mic to the stream imo, you don't need to give all the strategy away but would make better watching just talking through some basic stuff

Hey, thanks.

In terms of structure it's a bit awkward for me.  The majority of my HU play comes from hypers on Stars/Full tilt where you're 25bb deep max so to transition to 33bb has meant some adjustments of ranges that I'm not entirely comfortable with.  Without going into too much detail hands such as AT and 22 are a lot more difficult to play at the increased stack depth.  I do agree that they take a lot longer than hypers but this is also due to the speed of the software, there is a big pause between hands plus you get 20 seconds per decision which is more than what you get on Stars I believe.  I would personally be happy for the blinds to be brought down to 2 mins, 25bb deep and half the rake, but that'll never happen.

I will add a microphone next time I'm streaming (which will be in 5-10 mins).

In response to 'Anyone' (I don't know how to multi-quote on this forum) I wish it was a snap call!  Unfortunately the replayer just shows it like that but I did use my time bank.  I really felt like there was no need to call a >4x pot bet here but having seen how he'd played in previous games there were absolutely no value hands that made sense since he is always going to bet the flop with JT, T6 or 65.

A quick update on yesterday, I was up almost 1k at one point before finishing down 300 euros.  I moved up and just got crushed by the same players that I was crushing lower down.  I guess when you're playing 100s/200s it doesn't take many coolers or beats to lose the profit.  It's frustrating but I'm going to get grinding again now at the 25/50s.  Onwards and upwards.

A fun spot from a 50 euro game yesterday:

Here's the graph from yesterday's session, puke!

21-12-18.PNG.d8dbb90a1ff3ac4808c040f0f38bb995.PNG

I start each day with around £300 in the account so will generally only move up stakes if I have a good day and the games are soft, not to be this time though!

75 games at €25s, 43 wins, €210.50 profit

46 games at €50s, 25 wins, €125 profit

17 games at €100s, 8 wins, 148 loss

10 games at €200s, 4 wins,  €448 loss

Total loss was €260.50.

Yeh it's definitely frustrating having such swings but if you don't aggressively push run good in poker you will never make anything decent.  On another day I win a couple of flips at the higher stakes and I have a +2k day, it's just annoying I seem to run good at the 25s yet run terrible at the 50s+ on Unibet, which has been happening over 8-10k HUSNGs that I've played on here.  Long term I can print money at the 25s which may be my plan for the new year, just grind out 3k games per month but my biggest issue is I love a gamble so I often move up or spunk money on casino games/sports.

Since going full time I haven't played anywhere near as many games as I would like but I'm super motivated to grind hard in the new year, stream and be as disciplined as I can be.  When I was working I longed for the freedom of being self employed and now that I am, I find myself devoid of routine, sleeping terrible hours and putting in little to no effort with poker.  This are going to have to change because if they don't I will find myself back in normal employment before I know it.

I'm happy with having all of my volume on Unibet for now, the games are better here than on other sites.

Merry Christmas all!

Squeezed in 5 games at the 25s this morning and booked 5 wins.  +€117.50 is not a bad start to Christmas day :cash:

I'm going to be pretty busy over the next few days unfortunately but hopefully a bit of a break will be good for the big push in the new year.  Have a fun day all.

Yo.  I've not played since the last update as I'm refreshing before a big push in the new year.  However, after some inspiration from MetalWolf's Hexapro challenge I've decided I'm going to do a heads up challenge (with stream of course).

I'm thinking €20 to €2k bankroll starting at the €2 games giving me 10 buy ins.  I will be moving up when I reach 10 buy ins for the level above and I will move down if I reach 10 buy ins for the level below.

For example:

€2 level, move up to 4s at €40 or down to 1s at €10

€4 level, move up to 10s at €100 or down to 2s at €20

€10 level, move up to 25s at €250 or down to 4s at €40

€25 level, move up to 50s at €500 or down to 10s at €100

€50 level, move up to €100s at €1k or down to 25s at €250

€100 level, 2k = challenge completed or down to 50s at €500

This bankroll management is really aggressive and risky as it only gives me 5 buy ins to work with when I move up but as it's only a bit of fun it's not going to cause any harm.  I will likely be 2 tabling (maybe 3-4 at lower stakes for more volume) and I'll be go live on the stream in around 20 minutes after I've had a shower.

The aim is to have this completed by new year!

Massive kudos to you if you can achieve that. Will defo be watching some of this. If I am inspiration to you starting a challenge you can be my inspiration to start a stream 🤣 Messed around with it loads yesterday setting it up and ultimately couldn't finish it as life got in the way.

Run golden and good luck!
