  1. switched tuesday 16/07 (no stream) with friday 19/07 (stream).
  2. Of course they are, i'm not questioning that. People just sometimes forget that it's a manual process, and mistakes/oversights happen. Imagine you're forgetting something at work, but instead of reminding you, your colleague sends an email to your boss instead. that's how this feels.
  3. i've streamed 72 hours since the streamleague, all you had to do was tell me in chat to remind me. In those 2 weeks, I travelled, caught up some sleep & bought a house. I'm sorry I forgot, but it's not as if you had no time to remind me about it. You guys need to realize this isn't a Unibet promotion, it's me trying to come up with something fun for us, which Unibet so generously provides, while creating (a lot of) extra value for you guys. The entitlement is becoming a little too much for me and makes me doubt about continuing with the streamleague
  4. I understand the frustration by the players, but Brocky touches an important point. As a player, make sure to inform on what politicians called for these regulatory changes and use that next time you are called to vote. It had a severe impact on my voting behaviour back in Belgium.
  5. Winners sent to Leo! I wanted to do it together with the winners of today, but @Leo-Unibet was: NO! WE GIVE THEM TICKETS TODAY!!!!! Leo is the true viking! Thanks for helping out!!! Claps in chat for Leo
  6. A big thank you to everyone who participated in the Silly League. I had a lot of fun, and hopefully you guys/gals had a lot of fun as well. Make sure to tune in Saturday for a normal "boring" Stream League! The standings of the Silly League will be up any moment now!
  7. Updated with the Silly League (27/06) details! Could still change if I get other ideas I find hilarious. Feel free to suggest things!
  8. It's a known issue, likely related to server performance. If you encounter it, you can fix it by restarting your client during a break. Unfortunatly it doesn't mean it won't come back. I understand it can get tricky, especially while playing satellites or around the bubble.
  9. What if I told you, it's not hard to win against nits. It's not very fun, I agree, but rather easy to beat them.
  10. I agree with the design comments. My money is on a graphical error, since Nano events are rakefree or have minimal rake most of the time. Could be a backend mistake too (which will be corrected asap in that case), but luckily there was overlay in which case it seems noone got affected by it.
  11. Scrap that, we have both the LVSS and the SuperNova!
  12. Hey NewPlayer69, The SuperNova is a weekly Sunday Tournament, so yes, it runs every sunday. However, during some tournament series, like the Unibet Online Series (UOS) or the Las Vegas Summer Series (LVSS) they get replaced by a similar, usually bigger GTD €100 tournament. Any Supernova ticket can be used to buy in those events as well. Good luck!

  14. As a brand ambassador, I obviously try my best to promote the site, but I also stay true to Unibet's motto: "By players for Players". And to make sure you guys have a good site to play on, I have been very vocal about this issue. It is true that the rake on 25NL & 50NL is off balance for people that play a lot of volume. Recreational players don't really care/notice, since their volume will never really be significant to notice the difference. Unibet Poker is only a small part of Kindred, and it's a cog in a really big machine. It's really hard to convince people outside of the poker department that making less money will eventually make them more money. The problem is that so many things are intertwined, for example, the way bonus points are calculated etc. So despite the discussion raging internally, it won't be an easy fix, since it impacts a lot of things we don't really think of. But personally, I hope my internal nagging will eventually push them to a breaking point :D
  15. Schedule for 02/2020! The morning streams have been fun and useful, so I've made sure we have enough of those. Due to gf's work schedule, a lot more Late evening streams. This post will be edited frequently with the latest schedule
  16. Bibich is something cute in French slang iirc, or something similar. Not sure how offensive. A lot of them are often lost in translation, but there are for sure some of them that are just trying to be edgy. This one is from yesterday's stream. I would love Unibet to give them warnings, and when seen ignoring decency multiple times, take away the ability of these players to chose their aliases freely.
  17. Please stop taking my money, I have a daughter to feed! GL on the challenge, and see you at the tables
  18. My best result was winning 4 flips in a row :p How did you guys do? Also @wwaanneess regarding the 200NL players winning 10NL tickets: The higher you play, the less likely you'll be risk averse, that means that as long as the flip is +EV to take, 200NL+ players will probably keep taking it. So they either have packages, or nothing (I would love to see the stats though :D )
  19. I notice some comments about rake and rakeback. some people tend ot forget how good rakeback is at unibet after a certain tier. For most of the players, it's probably some of the best in the industry right now. I'm pretty sure that HexaPro grinders will easily hit the highest tiers rather fast. It's kinda silly, but with a UO package at 1.25M points, this could have a really fun impact on the UO attendance numbers! Growth all around.
  20. The human brain is a master deveiver, always looking patterns that don't exist. To understand the variance at Unibet, there are a few things that are important to understand. 1) Due to the main focus of Casino & Sportsbook, Unibet is one of the softest pokersites on the planet, especially microstakes/smallstakes. 2) Your opponents hand has a lot more equity than you imagine when holding random cards. Preflop allin in tournaments this is very noticable, and I realize this feels "unfair" when their 84o hits vs your AK or something. 3) you instantly forget about all non-showdown hands. example: Your opponent calls you down with 67s on a A6Q K board versus your AK. scenario 1: River X, you jam, opponent folds (this will happen 95.5% of the times) scenario 2: River 6, you jam, opponent calls (this will happen 4.5% of the times) now in your head it feels like 67 beat you and you lost money because of this, but the reality is that you probably won more money over time by your opponent going to the river and folding, even though you instantly forget about it. 4) Add 1, 2 and 3 together, and you understand how high variance is going to be on Unibet. Profitability of your game will be higher, but the swings will also be higher, because that 4.5% can come a few times in a row. It doesn't mean once every 20 times, it means that every time you get to the river, it has 1/20 chance to happen. Which sounds like the same, but is very different.
  21. Because equity denial is part of the math. That's why position is so important. Also in the study you love to quote all the time, it's important to note that they didn't just take any 2 random cards. There was already a preflop selection. Which means Player A raises Range X, player B defends range Z. Those two ranges match up well, otherwise either player A or player B are making big mistakes. So yes, showdown will be really close. The article therefore states that non showdown decisions are more important, hence implying that poker is indeed a game of skill, not chance. Also, this article dates from 2009, nowadays WTSD (Went To ShowDown) is probably closer to 26-28% iirc, haven't played with a HUD in a long time, but the fact that people are defending their blinds in a more correct fashion should have this impact. But bottomline: Trust is the most important commodity an online operator has, why would they risk that with their customers to influence the outcome of a hand, in which, they don't actually don't gain extra money, since the outcome of the hand has no influence over the rake taken. If you really want to discuss this, and you are open for discussion, feel free to drop by my stream (twitch.tv/davitsche) and discuss. But please, don't just randomly refer to that pokernews article all the time, because you clearly don't truly understand what it is about.
