  1. Yeah in a tournament like the Magnus open for under 100 bigs I think some players would even shove AT offsuit or 55 here
  2. Thanks @Brocky, I guess I was overthinking that spot then! Do you still play much on Unibet? I always enjoy reading your blog posts whenever there are any. Bankroll is 1589.04€. Seems like my bankroll really likes staying as close as possible to 1600€ 🤣 . I guess that's better than losing a bunch of money. Today I played some Hexapros and broke even on those. Then I played a bunch of 25€ HU SnG (probably about 65 of them). I felt like a lot of my opponenets were quite weak and then there were a few pretty good regs. I lost small in the end and felt like I was running badly but not horribly, could have been a lot worse I guess. I think I still have some leaks that I need to correct like bluffing too much when I take certain lines. I got quite tilted from some of the run bad and made a few mistakes because of that but overall I think I played fine. Maybe the 25€ level would require me to two table the HU SnGs more initially instead of three tabling to really focus on my opponents and my game. I don't think I would find the hands anymore, but here are two of the hands that I remeber that tilted me: In one hand I went for two biggish barrels (flop and turn) against a loose opponent with something like K7 offsuit for top pair of kings. I was out of position and I had reraised my hand preflop against a limp and villain called. I had no clubs and the flop had 3 clubs (flop texture was similar to something like K 8 3). Turn and river was not a club. On the river an A came. I checked to my opponent who bet small (about one third of the pot). I called only to see A5 offsuit with the 5 of clubs. In another hand against a different villain I had the king high flush on the turn with four clubs (I had Kx offsuit). My opponent had bet large on the flop and large on the turn (I was out of position in a single raised pot and I had check called both bets), so I imagined on the turn that he probably has a flush. On the river the board paired. My opponent goes for a big bet and I call only to be shown a full house with a flopped set of 66. I mean I guess a gto bot would bet small with a set or two pair a very small frequency of the time on the turn, so that they could show up with full houses on the river when they take that line, but really? It's hands like these where your opponents have hands that they should not really have much or at all, and they end up winning the hand somehow anyway, that tilt me the most :P
  3. Yeah maybe you are right and I am being too results oriented on the first hand, especially somewhat readless. The instant turn overbet jam when I block most of his two pairs and unblock his straights and flushes just was a pretty terrible seeming spot. There are just so many possible flush combos too. You are right K2 makes sense, and some bluffs make sense as well (I'm not sure if QJ would raise the flop but maybe some players would), maybe J9 with a heart would bluff like this, or some Ax with a heart that plays this way preflop or some completely random air like T6 with the ten of hearts. I have seen some players that never bluff or only ever semibluff bet big when they have it (like overbet) and a lot of bluffs that haven't gotten there by the turn require some creativity. Completely agree with your comments on the second hand. Don't know how I misread that board regarding the gutshot 😏 Thanks for the opinions @Dennis_
  4. Ok sounds like a pretty good study routine for sure :D I guess if you mostly study preflop then the major leaks that you have, if any, are probably going to be postflop.
  5. For bankroll management: - If you like to gambol and dream of the epic upswings and don't feel too bad about losing big (or even going broke if you are not careful), the first option might be for you. - If you strongly dislike going broke/losing and enjoy the comfort of not getting destroyed by variance the second option might be better The first option suits me better but I am also a filthy irrational human, so take precautions before downloading my advice protocols.
  6. Shame :/. But I think it's certainly a good decision to move down in that case, I don't think it is possible to play well if you are not confident. Hopefully you are able to figure out what things you are doing wrong when playing (if anything). You seem to do a lot of studying. How do you study, could you improve that in some way? Do you study enough of both preflop and postflop? Do you pay enough attention to opponents? Do you adjust shoving ranges enough against fish who don't care about ICM? How many tables do you play? I guess these are all some things that could affect play. For postflop I have recently been watching some of Pluribuses play (a poker artificial intelligence) and some of the solver analysis videos on Youtube mostly for inspiration on new things that I could try and to see what kinds of things I'm possibly doing wrong. But anyway, you could still be a good player on a downswing, especially with the amount of bad beats you post. With your sample you are still within a 95% confidence interval of having about 4% or 5% ROI. You don't seem like an awful player by any strech and you are playing in a seemingly tough field. And in the end I don't play 5 man SnG and am not really a pro either so what do I know :D GL and enjoy your days off!
  7. Bankroll is 1605.04€ right now. Today I played a few Hexapros, HU SnG and the community poker league. Results were pretty breakeven in everything mostly. I busted quite early in the community poker league, pretty standard spots IMO so nothing much to say about that. The 25€ HU SnGs were the most interesting games I played today. I got to play against some decent regs and a few fish, and I was mostly pretty happy with how I played. Here is an interesting HU hand that I cannot get to work in an external replayer. Villain was quite a new opponent so I was pretty readless: *** Seated players *** Seat 1: Villain (940) Seat 2: Hero (1060) *** Blinds and button *** Hero has the button Hero posts small blind 15 Villain posts big blind 30 *** Hole cards *** Dealt to Villain [4h 5h] Dealt to Hero [Qc Ks] *** Preflop *** Hero raises 45 to 60 Villain calls 30 *** Flop *** [Kh Qh 2s] Villain checks Hero bets 45 Villain raises 150 to 150 Hero calls 105 *** Turn *** [Kh Qh 2s] [Jh] Villain bets 730, and is all-in Hero calls 730 *** Showdown *** *** River *** [Kh Qh 2s] [Jh] [Jc] Villain shows [4h 5h], A Flush Hero shows [Qc Ks], Two pairs, Kings up Villain wins 1880 I remember on the flop when villain raised I literally said to myself "Oh, he has a flush draw", I decided to call in position to keep bluffs in. On the turn I was pretty frustrated by what probably is the worst turn card in the deck and villain went all in immediately for about 1.5x the pot. I tanked until almost the end of my timebank and called this hand, only to indeed be shown the flush. I think I need to get better at playing these sorts of rare spots and make this fold. It's a pretty hard/disciplined fold to make but I would guess against most opponents at these stakes (that don't bluff enough in a spot like this) a fold is probably better especially with my timing tells. Something like KT or AK especially with a heart is a much better call than this. Or am I just being results oriented? Soon after this hand I played the following hand against a tight reg on a different table: http://www.pokerhandreplays.com/view.php/id/9908374 Preflop and flop are standard. On the turn I checked planning to check raise. On the turn against a tight reg who can still call some worse hands, with a vulnerable flush like this my check is pretty bad probably and I should just bet it. Anyway I check and immediately regret it, luckily however my opponent bets and I am able to spring the trap and check raise my hand. Then villain 3bets all in (and does the classic "I'm pretending to actually have a decision" tank) and I'm suddenly hating my life, but I can't fold this I think. I have to keep in mind that villain checked the flop with a gutter and flush draw. It's probably not bad to check it sometimes but most players would just bet such a hand so it just makes it even more likely that my opponent is quite tight.
  8. Thanks for the opionion @Dennis_ ! I was thinking after the hand that the turn fold might have been a bit too tight, since against AQ or AT I have about 30% equity and even against KQ or QQ I have 20% equity. I block some straights like KJ. Disregarding ICM I need to win a bit under 30% of the time to be able to call this. If villain is bluffing enough you could maybe justify the call. However with ICM considerations and the fact that villain didn't seem that loose maybe it's a fold after all. I have little experience playing an ICM format so I'm not sure, felt like a pretty close spot anyway :D
  9. Maybe if you had a strong read that villain raised all/most Ax and Kx pre or that villain valuebets worse then you could justify the calldown. Otherwise I don't really like the calldown. You block 78 too. Interesting bets by villain there. Does he think that you are a calling station, or maybe he thinks you would raise most Ax and Kx pre against a limp preflop and he might get value from worse? Or maybe they are just a fish that overvalued their hand? For some reason I find those minbet triple barrel leads with bottom pair are extra tilting even though I should be happy when my opponents use a strategy like that 🤣
  10. Can someone explain to me when you are allowed to replay your poker hands in the browser client? I don't remember when the last time was that I was actually able to replay even any of the most recent hands that I played. Seems like randomly very very rarely it's possible to replay hands (only very rarely is there that circular replay arrow when I'm looking through my hands).
  11. Ok @GR1ZZL3R. I'll try to keep posting the worst ones when they happen! I feel like with playing Hexapros most of bad beats get lost somewhere in the haze of the session, unless they happen in the bigger games (like 10x). Or maybe I just have just been running well recently compared to some others at least :P @MadAdoI don't really understand what you are trying to say? :) Today I was playing the community poker league, and some Hexas at the same time. The Hexa session started off pretty badly, I probably had to play almost 20 Hexapros before I got any multiplier above 3x. In the end I luckily won most of the few big ones that I did spin so I made a minor profit. Bankroll is now 1611.04€. I also came in 8th place in the community poker league. Mostly it was just fun to play against familiar characters and practice my probably pretty rusty tournament strategy (because I haven't studied the effects of ICM much). Rather than share hands where I think I played well, here is an interesting hand from the community poker league a after the money bubble (right before final table) that I think I possibly played quite badly: http://www.pokerhandreplays.com/view.php/id/9906768 Villain didn't seem too loose so far (at least as far as I had been following) and I tank folded the turn. I have my thoughts about the hand but I won't spoil you with them if you feel like commenting your thoughts on it.
  12. I ran my bankroll back up to 1533.04€ by four tabling 10€ Hexapros this evening. Strangely I made this profit by winning a lot of small and medium sized Hexas mostly but I didn't win that many 10x. I had to fight hard not to tilt in some of the 100€ prize pool games. In one of them I lost the Hexa after losing around 4 or 5 consecutive all ins heads up. I also lost another 100€ prizepool in the heads up phase where I initially had most of the chips. My desk definitely got a beating from trying to burn off some of that frustration :P Anyway, can't complain at all about a session this profitable.
  13. One possible tip for you to improve in poker: From the past hands/comments that you posted (and especially one hand where you bet big with a top set of pocket AA on a dry flop) I have gotten the impression that you are the sort of player who plays pretty tight and does not bluff much. I was thinking about commenting on that hand earlier but I didn't have the energy at the time. Personally I think it is quite easy to play against such a strategy. It's does not take long to identify a player who is using such a strategy with reasonable confidence from observing their betting frequencies and seeing one or two showdowns. After that you can expolit them by: Step 1: Avoid their bets like the plague, unless you already have immunity from the pandemic known as "value hands" by having a monster hand yourself (if you feel like half the time that you get action you are getting coolered, this might be the reason why). Step 2: Bet relentlessly when they show weakness Step 3: Profit So what I am saying is that if you are this sort of player I would work on incorporating more bluffs into your range. And not just one and done flop cbet bluffs (that only goes so far in masking a strategy where you generally don't bluff imo), but I'm talking about all kinds of bluffs including triple barrels sometimes (don't overdo it of course). Even most of the recs (except some of them) aren't half brained zombies that will pay off your bets no matter what, and often they will start folding more to you eventually. And by bluffing more you will win more pots and be much harder to play against. I think this is especially important if/when moving up in stakes. You can ignore this of course if this does not apply to you :D @Dennis_So true! I have improved the most with my poker everytime I have had downswings because when I'm doing well I don't feel like studying at all I just want to keep playing. My HU preflop ranges for example improved massively after my big downswing earlier at 25€ SnG HU. And I think you are right, most people are naturally overconfident and think they are better at things that they really are. In some ways it is generally probably a good thing because overconfidence is a great motivator, but it can have pretty bad sides too.
  14. Depends how loose the player is postflop imo. Do they seem like the sort of player who would bet a queen on the river? If they do bet a queen for value a call is probably good. You have pretty terrible blockers though. You unblock clubs, J9, stuff like JT and you block hands like AQ (if AQ plays this way pre which might be unlikely idk). If they would not bet a queen I guess this is just fine to fold because of the terrible blockers. Unless the opponent is quite loose postflop and bluffs a ton. I don't know if folding could be right even if villain bets a few of their best queens in some cases because of the terrible blockers. Also the bet is conveniently "small" with the bet that barely covers your stack. If they tank bet like that (meaning they put thought into their bet sizing) I would be very scared XD. You need to win 25% of the time so not the worst to call though I guess. Nice that you are finally running ok!
  15. Bankroll is now 1221.04€. I played some of the 25€ Hexapros on Sunday and quickly decided to end the shot after losing about 200€ playing those (seems also more reggy than the 10€ Hexapros but that was probably because you need to play 25€ for the daily mid Hexapro races). I also lost about 100€ in 50 NL a about 100€ in 10€ Hexapro. Overall I'm still pretty happy with how I have played despite the recent dip. I think that I will stick to 10€ Hexapros and 25€ HU SnG for now and move down if necessary to 5€ Hexapros and 10€ HU SnG. I think I will wait for the rake changes to happen before playing 50 NL again, and maybe I will try some 10€ PLO at some point. People seem to like reading bad beat stories given the popularity of that content here (or maybe people just like posting them?). Here's a funny hand that I lost against pocket 99 in a 100€ prize pool (10€ buy in) Hexapro. http://www.pokerhandreplays.com/view.php/id/9903013 . Not such a bad beat in terms of absolute hand strength but still a pretty ridiculous situation :P
  16. Bankroll is now at 1659.78 €. I played mostly 10€ Hexapros today. Lets see for how long I can keep this up before the inevitable downswing happens. I also played three 25€ HU SnG games and won two of them. I'm probably done for today pokerwise. Playing 4 tables of Hexa is exhausting 😏. You start to feel your mind melt if you go on for long enough.
  17. I have noticed that for me in some ways I probably play worse if I play fewer tables. It's harder to stay as focused/disciplined when you make less hands and get bored. Also "bad events" like getting coolered feel more significant (and tilt me more) if I have just one or two tables open, but if I have more they don't feel that bad because often I am up on another table and I am "still doing well on most tables". It's funny how that works psychologically XD. It used to be hard for me to play many tables but now for cash games playing 4 tables feels very easy actually (now that I'm used to playing 4 tables of Hexa or 3 tables of HU). I always tile my tables though so in that way I can make a lot of my decisions even before it is my turn to act. Good luck at the tables!
  18. Thanks @Dennis_ ! Yeah, you are def correct about the tiltshots.
  19. Here@ReCorpH https://fi.unibet.com/promotions/poker-promotions/hexapro-daily-races :)
  20. Lol. Pretty funny that they bet a flush. If they were a multitabler it's possible that they misread the board. Otherwise pretty overvaluey play. Unless they had some sort of sick soulread that they could still get value because they think you would have raised/lead any 4 on the turn and folded a three on the turn. I understand the call as well because it is true that you should have more fullhouses in your range at least based on preflop ranges. Beautiful scenery you have nearby :D. I went walking in my local city woods today but it felt really crowded, probably because of the Corona. And yes, I think going outside is still moral :P
  21. I had the same issue (and possibly other related or unrelated ones) Edit: In the browser verison for me however
  22. My bankroll is now at 1228.78€ I had a pretty good session today. At first I played a bit of 10€ Hexapros, which went well enough (about 120€ profit). However I did experience some technical issues including one where Unibet logged me out during 4 tables of Hexapro and I couldn't log back in until I restarted my computer (I definitely lost some value there, one of the tables was a 100€ Hexa and when I came back there were only two tables left). I guess I will write up a bug report tomorrow when I have more energy (there are too many screenshots :P). I tilted a bit because of the technical issues and played three 50€ Heads up SnGs against some rock and roll avatar reg. I won two of the three luckily, but it's not a good way to handle tilt. Later I played some 25€ HU SnG which is a more appropriate stake. I played 8 and won 6 of them. I think I was pretty lucky, there were no obvious fish there even though I felt like I had some edge against some of the players at least. I ended the session earlier because I strted feeling quite tired. Regarding the suspicions of getting sick that I had yesterday, I feel fine right now, with maybe a mild cough at most. I might have something mild that was then compounded yesterday by being very tired at one point or because of sitting down for quite long. I'm not sure.
  23. My bankroll is now 958.96€. I started off todays session by losing a solid 100€ after 29 games of HU SnG. After that I briefly played 5€ Banzai and broke even. Then I realized that the daily Hexapro race is a thing and I decided that there is no better time than now to grind Hexapros. So I 4 tabled mostly 5€ Hexapros for about 4 and a half hours and that was good for third place in the low leaderboard (and the 10€ prize that comes with it :D). Hexapros are pretty similar to HU SnGs in my opinion in terms of strategy. There is no ICM and there is only one more player who taggs along for the first two or three hands (before they punt it off with Q4 offsuit by going all in preflop). I felt like I had a pretty big edge on the field. However I don't know how much credit I can really take for the winnings today. I ran pretty good obviously and winning the bigger spins (especially the 50€ ones) can be hundreds of euros difference in profit :D The variance of this gametype is definitely big, though I do appreciate Unibets lower variance prize poor distribution compared to some other sites. I have started feeling a bit I'll during the past few hours. Hopefully it is lack of sleep and not Corona (unless it's the Corona beer I drank yesterday) but I guess I'll see where this develops. Hard to know if I have a slight fever since I don't own a thermometer. I really should get one I guess :P
  24. Depends a lot on the type of player. I'm going to assume the bet sizes were all half pot. Likely handtypes in range imo: -Villain could have something like A4s/54s or A3s sometimes (or more similar hands if they are loose) -Quads and 77 are a thing of course -Villain could have a flush a sometimes. Some players would also check back river with a flush because they feel like they would not be called much by worse. -Villain could have a bluff like a missed straight draw with a club blocker or the ace of clubs. Unlikelier handtypes: -Villain could have an overpair but probably not because it seems a bit ambitious to go for 3 streets -I don't think most players would bet a 7 on the river -56 is a thing but most players would check back river It's hard to know how much of each hand category villain has here because different players play their ranges so differently. Depends a lot on playing style reads imo. I think I would fold it against a tighter opponent. You have no club and you have basically a bluffcatcher. Or maybe since you have no club and you block pocket 77 and also QQ and block no draws you could target flushes with a bluffjam sometimes :P. I think raising the flop sometimes with this hand is also fine against players who range cbet since you have a good hand that blocks no draws. IDK thats basically how I would approach the spot (at least if I had time to think it through) :P
