  1. Great job on the new schedule, the RA's where indeed bad news for recreationals since the abi went up drastically with pretty low payouts.

I only have 2 things I would like to discuss:

    1) the payout structure seems  super topheavy, first takes a huge chunck and since the target are recreationals, can't this be topped off? I mean, especially since there is no option for dealmaking. I have played in the past on another site that had dealmaking options inbedded in the client, people would vote and see the icm chop before accepting or not..

    2) the satties were redesigned with no RA's which is good  and benefit the recs but now they take way too long and feel more like a mtt before the mtt, I mean 1h30 with 40 players for 3 tickets... and only other option is hypers pfff.

I understand that but what is 88 getting called by that's worse if you are not up against a calling station like me? It feels like if you shove with them you are turning those hands into a bluff. But maybe some players would do it regardless.

yes its turning into a bluff in a spot where villain would feel like they have tons of FE

    Good point.

Though I like to take into account reads, especially when you are just playing 4 tables (max of the browser version), it's impossible not to get reads even if you try 😄

But yeah multiway it's not so relevant.

yeah u will lvl urself otherwise in these spots, trust me, learned the hard way

Yeah just wanted to give something more specific than "I play aggro" which doesn't mean that much, but yeah I play quite aggro overall, probably too aggro 😛

aggro is good, I think I play way more aggressive than the field which is necessary to build stacks to ship mtt's

    15 hours ago, CuteRaven said:

I don't really like to play 3bets purely to steal. I think if I give up on flop or turn almost always whenever I'm bluffing I'm going to be losing many pots when I get called preflop (which is pretty often I think) and I'm going to be losing big pots too often.

I actually float and checkraise flop cbets vs some regs quite loose as an exploit if I notice they cbet flops and then give up turns too much (not specific to 3bet pots though). But I guess most players I would face wouldn't think about stuff like this.

But anyway, it's a matter of preference and a bit nitpicky I guess, probably most important that the frequencies are good.

yeah we are discussing the 10% where I would consider a squeeze pre so doesn't really matter that much but I would suggest to try this with semibluff hands that flop well are not dominated. U will be surprised how many times u pick up  ez chips as most only would only squeeze oop with top of their range and they perceive that move as very strong

I noticed that you have a blog and looks like you are crushing the MTTs, so probably I should listen to your advice (and I appreciate the thoughts 😀 ). Hopefully the poker has been going good lately (if you've been playing)!

yeah I should update my blog more but am still playing under Uaintgotit and doing pretty well in all sub 25eur's, didn't play a few months this year due to real life stuff but Im guessing im up well over 5k ytd.... but am still a fish lol

when the 25eur+ crushers join the games, I sit down 😉

    @ladyluckpls Thanks for the opinions!

Yeah, BB defense ranges is something I need to do some work on. It gets a bit complicated with antes, differing stack sizes and ICM stuff. On the one hand you can probably defend wider at low stack sizes because you realize more of your equity. But yeah, probably too loose with 53o.

==> I get what u mean but 53o is just garbage vs his stack, when het cbets flop, u have almost 0 fold equity vs his stack

    2 hours ago, CuteRaven said:

You think that players would show up with something like 88 when they take this line postflop? I don't think most players would do that, but maybe you are right that I'm underestimating how often it happens still.

that turn K doesn't help your range so most middling pockets are shoving imo, and they have way more kx in their range

    2 hours ago, CuteRaven said:

That was the plan initially but when the turn checked through I thought I had an opportunity 😂. In the end, if it folds through 70% of the time it's very profitable, only 50% and I'm burning money. It only takes one calling station to ruin  things.

I thought at the time that all players seemed quite "normal". SB was playing another table, BU name seemed familiar but no reads beyond that and MP seemed solid (also that 2.3x raise size seems reg-like).

So does it fold through enough of the time? I still don't know, but moves like this have worked out a lot in the past so that's probably part of the reason I still make them sometimes. 😅

But especially with 86s probably being more of a possibility than I thought at the time (and me not blocking it when blockers are especially important multi-way), probably check fold is the smart option 😛

forget about people's image when your are multiway oop,  recs on ub hate folding,u will get looked up by a lot of hands.

Keep this same move for value next time, thats how u exploit their calling  tendencies.

    2 hours ago, CuteRaven said:

Pretty aggro, gamelab told me in the past that I have a VPIP/PFR/3BET of something like 30/23/12 at 4 NL, probably that's close to what it is in the early stages of 6max tournaments too (tighter if the field is tough).

not sure how low stakes 4nl cashgame stats relate here but I mean if u have an aggro overall strat.

    2 hours ago, CuteRaven said:

This is the advice that surprised me the most, usually I like to play more playable hands as 3bets (e.g 65s or A4s), and the great price incentivizes calls over 3bets in general I think. I thinks it's quite awkward to play something like J7o out of position against their calling range (especially when J7o is dominated quite often bu AJ, KJs, QJs, JTs...). But maybe since calling is so good here with many hands, it would be a "waste" to 3bet fold stuff like 65s?

I also thought that calling J7o would be relatively standard here.

I guess it's something I need to think about more.

squeezing in this spot is a pure steal move and its ok to give up on flop when called or cbet/fold flop if HU. the fact J7o is absolute bottom of range makes it a good candidate to go pure bluff vs players who will interpret your squeeze as very strong

You inspired me to research BB defense ranges for MTTs a bit more 😄.

yeah always good to hit the study road 🙂

I found some videos and articles on it:

    https://upswingpoker.com/big-blind-defend-strategy-mtt-vs-cash/

Overall, from a quick glance, looks like I'm too loose in some spots and too tight in other spots, though these ranges don't factor in ICM. A bit surprising how much it differs from cash games.

yeah mtt and cash bb def is very different and icm makes it a different sport entirely

  4. hmm logging in after a while to catch up on the ub blogs.

PLS FOLD 53o, vs opponents stack, u are setting chips on fire sir, especially close to itm. U have many better spots to defend your bb. I also think u will be surprised how many time villains will show up with pocket pairs in that exact spot.

The J7 hand, I guess u don't like winning mtt's? IF u decide to defend J7o because of implied odds, on such a flop and board texture, u just go for your showdown value and pray to jebus that your 7 is good and not start punting oop multiway versus casuals.

I don't know how aggro u play in general, but  I would have either folded pf ( 90% of the time) or squeezed pre ( 10%) to 8.4 with that hand as u put a lot of pressure and take the initiative.

I tend to be very tight in these unibet multiway pots with funplayers.

  5. Hey ub team,

was wondering if there is a way that satties for mtt tickets become Tdollars or Tmonies as is the case for some other sites?

or maybe allow tickets to be exchanged as it is the case for UO tickets?

This would allow people to choose how they use tickst, like 5x50eur ticket for a 250eur entry into supermoon or so

Not sure if this has been discussed before..

  7. glgl on the grind, Im getting back into the 25s and 50s so hope we might battle soon 😄

I agree that the Unibet schedule is top notch, lots of tournaments, fields not too big and fast paced..  UOS series is the cherry on top as it adds a lot of ev in

    even non-Uos events!

Also u helped me track @mathew1982"soupplease" who seem to be in all my mtt's and keeping me from a lot of final tables 😬😄 STOP COOLERING ME SIR! 😅

  8. Can't edit or delete previous post that got messed up.. so here it goes..

    €500,000 Unibet Online Series XV

So running good and playing fairly well got me excited about the UOS series and I'm planning on keeping track with this blog.

I started the ticket grind early and it went pretty well, binked a fee 25s en 50s tickets that should ocme in handy.

    image.png

    DAY 1 of UOS:

Played a busy Sunday grind schedule and added all non rebuy UOS events and managed to get into day 2 of the 2.500eur UOS Rebuy Low 2-Days!

But first, let me talk to you about an illusive bastard mtt that has singlehandedly managed to put me on lifetilt several times during 2021 as I have suffered the most disgusting coolers in many important ev situations... THE ICE GIANT BOUNTY

After managing a 7th place finish 1 week prior to UOS start..

    image.png

I finally caught some goodrun and even managed to get some hands that held lategame, resulting in a long overdue BINK!

The monetary amount is nice off course but I feel like some kind of curse have been lifted and I may now grind Unibet at ease 😆

    image.png

    DAY 2 of UOS:

I started the session pretty tired after a long Sunday session and pretty demanding Monday office day, but had to play as I had made day 2 of the 2.500 UOS Rebuy low..

I can't recollect many memorable hands and didn't save key moments but stared the day 2 with a below average stack and somehow managed to grind my way into the Final table.. where I managed to run into AA twice 😬

    image.png

    image.png

2 spots where we are never getting away and nothing more to do than accepting the variance I guess. Not the ending hero deserved but another UOS final table to add to our resumé and sure many will follow.. good start of UOS!

If I may, I do feel like something is wrong with the structure of this mtt as it feels pretty gross to have to grind 9 hours and getting FT in a fairly big Unibet field only nets you about 4 times your buyin.. 🤢 Unless u  finish top 3, this feels like there are way better options out there. For example, GG has big fields that take 8 hours but will reward the remaining players with way better prices ( 35x for 6th)..

Oh, and on another note, I binked a ticket for a 14man sng called Mercury Blue Bounty.. and was lucky enough to ship it!

    image.thumb.png.834b017d7f92dfe46f7b3359f8aaee35.png

no complaints here to be noted 😆, just ship it!

    DAY 3 of UOS:

after 2 long sessions, decided to take a break from poker.. and update my blog haha!

    Gl on the tables!

  9. So January & February 2022 prior to UOS.. after a pretty bad month of November 2021 and lack of motivation in December, I got my mojo back on 01/01/2022 as I made it a good resolution

to reconnect with the Unibet mtt recs 😜

I had cashed out my poker roll in December and started January with 123eur on 01/01/2022 on Unibet and 111usd on Gg poker... time to grind!!

It helps to run g00t when in dire need of rebuilding a roll.. 🙂

    image.png.f806c74a81a7263562818fcc4c4fb977.png

nice bink after winning a 10eur satty..and sunrunning the entire field accumulating all the bounties haha

    image.png.63e8265be94b08f6c7cca6021d9bb3c3.png

what can I say, we ran g00t!

    image.png.451bbf40ad71047fcf811aa228e91061.png

Nice almost back-to-back wins in the galaxy!

Suffice to say that we ran pretty good from the beginning of the year as we ran up the poker roll to 2.442eur by half February ! Not bad for a hobby 🙂

  10. HAHA looks like a few days became a full year 😅😆

Too lazy to write a full 2021 review but I had a very decent year considering the fact I only started playing mtt's in 2020.

Too bad the Unibet Dashboard shows everything since it's launch in july 2021, but it gives an idea of my winrate on unibet lowstakes mtt's for the past 8 months:

    image.png.e6a96e919e1f72e048dd90cb56e0b6fa.png

Making 7eur per mtt in return is not bad at all, the plan is to improve these numbers!

Some memorable finishes from the past months:

    supermoon FT bubble finish:

    image.thumb.png.9158d48fc531d710393b290f27d36afd.png

Nice ticket grind, feeling like a highroller :

    image.thumb.png.4b0714a066c0df94c96d0f6074a5adcc.png

    Titan ship:

    image.thumb.png.ffa9ed579c3e06bb4e29804f183cf1e0.png

also some binks on Gg that started operating in Belgium last summer:

    image.png.58714df4ebc48e9e671ab772eec6dc0c.pngimage.png.e314b5df25117d80a41aa3ec207b2819.png

Overall, I feel i have not been running extremely good as I had same though variance heavy months, but pleased with how things went and hopeful for some nice results in 2022. I also believe I have binked each Unibet mtt name in the 2eur to 25eur range at some point, while some mtt's like the galaxy 5eur R/A or baby multiverse have been my bread and butter mtt's where my confidence level is pretty high.

Next to poker, I have been particularly busy since 2020 researching and investing my poker winnings into crypto projects, particularly the Cardano ecosystem, which allows me to this day to be able to invest early in projects with huge potential.

This process is time-consuming, but as I'm closing on a 6 figure crypto folio, it seems like raiding my pokerroll was the good choice.

    image.png.2a7f9cb7ec18b4a15fafdb74fd6aef5a.png

Feel free to check out my twitter as I started recently sharing info about the projects I follow: https://twitter.com/Konekt_WMT

Im also planning on operating a node in the world mobile ecosystem soon 🙂

anyway, back to pokerrrrrr.. in my next post as Im holding a pokerblog during the current UOS series !

  11. hey team,

can u guys solve the situation where when u have regular tickets and UO tickets, the system always choose a non UO ticket as default

choice from the dropdown menu in a UO satty lobby.. I have lost numeral tickets when multitabling and not paying attention, especially when I rebuy in a  UO sat ppfff.

So in short: default choice for UO satties should be UO tickets and not regular same value tickets!!
