Unibet Tournament Challenge 2022 - trying to 20 X my Bankroll in 11 Months

Hello guys. I made Blog here in March or something, but unfortunately didn't really follow through mostly to the german regulations that were put in place during 2021.

Anyway, I moved to Malta in January and have now been uncuffed from any regulations whatsoever. Since I had to find an apartment first this challenge starts a bit later than I had planned. But makes it all the more exciting to finally start. Rules are simple: This Challenge is exclusively played on Unibet and only counting the Tournaments Format. To make sure there is nothing mixing up the Results I wont play any others games for the next 11 months. (Not sure if I get some sort of tickets, I just hope I won't). Rakeback counts though and will be included in the results and bankroll.

Start February 1st : 1.500,00€

Goal December 31st: 30.000,00€

Naturally I will play on other sites when I play Tournaments but this here is supposed to be my Unibet Diary only. Maybe it's entertaining and/or inspiring for some. Since I did not have the chance to play Unibet for some time  don't really know how ambitious this is. Due to my other Poker activities I will only play 2-3 days of Tournament Poker. This will eventually result in no more than 150 sessions in the end. I think this is quite tough to accomplish. Let me know what you think. See you at the Final Tables 🙂

But to be honest, technically  this would be very hard to realize regarding your volume

I play poker tournament pro for 12 years, 80 percent online , 20 percent live tournaments withh 100+ buyins

Unibet is my favorite network , somehow i like the software and no HUDs, mostly play under "soupplease" nickname

150 sessions, and regarding buy ins on Unibet are not that high on average, technically is almost impossible to make 30k by this volume

To have a some chance , u need to play UOS big tournaments tho and hit some, and hit multiple supornova too

I think u need to play at least 250 sessions to have a shot for this result, talking from experience

But good luck anyway i like that kind of blogs, keep it updated

The Bankroll is now deposited and I am finally able to start the Challenge. By the end of every month you get another screenshot showing the current state of the roll.

Mathew, thanks a lot for your input. I made some calculations regarding possible ROIs myself by now and I am pretty sure its gonna be super tough to achieve. I would need lots of run good to make it happen. I am however thinking if I don't fail in the progress by far and it is possible I would be putting in more days in the end and just play less Cash Game or do other things. Depends on how this goes and also how profitable my other endeavours turn out this year. I thought about reducing this goal a bit but I think I am gonna try it as intended. And afterall the profit to complete the challenge is only 28.5k and as mentioned before Rakeback and Bonus Offers count as well 😉

However I strongly agree this has a high likeliness to fail. I would be happy making it to a roll over 20k or so as well of course.

Probably not going to update every single Session, but this this was the first one I thought I let you know how it went. Made a few final tables, played a few hands with Mathew apparently, gg 😉

Scores:

• 5th 25€ Deepstack the earlier one for 160€ ish
• 3rd 25€ Rebuy Neptune for 420€

There been a few other cashes and deeper runs. Like Deep Impact where I loose AA to AKs for CL w 14 left. To be fair it went in on flop after me 4betting and him calling. Sadly he makes his flush on the river though.

Current bankroll before todays session: 1.791€

Small fields are much fun but as expected you see a lot of the same names on most tables 25-50€ BI. It was fun and I think I played well for the most part, after over a year of abstinence from Online-MTTs. In the end I got a little tired, also I noticed while multitabling hard that the tables did not pop up. Had to change that in settings but folded some strong hands bc of it. Anyway it was the first day and it wont happen again. Result is fine for starters, hoping to win a few Tourneys soon 🙂

We had our first ship today in the second session. It was a small one, but still I was gonna post all Ships since 1st place is, well, First Place 😉

Other Scores:

• 25€ Deepspace from 5pm: 2nd today (yday 5th) for 430€
• 50€ Comet 4th for ~190€
• 25€ Abyss (and ofc the Ship on of the smaller 25 Reentry ones

I am obviously very happy with the start so far. Running good despite some unfortunate beats when it matters, but we all have that on a daily basis... I am 99% sure I wont be playing this weekend. First visit here in Malta arriving tomorrow, so I gotta skip the first weekend and will be back Monday or Tuesday for the next Tournament Session 🙂

25 deep impact and 25 R/s neptune are defo best tournaments that run on daily basis on unibet

After 150 days, if u keep playing your best game, stay focused and motivated , doesnt matters if u make 30k or not..just keep this and condiser yourself a winner already!

Thanks man. I was able to play Sunday evening. Even though I was a bit exhausted from the weekend. Lots of sightseeing and drinking in the evening/night. I ran pretty bad but at least we met at our first bigger finaltable and it was fun, gg. I was down 250€ yday. Now I have to take the week of to grind the rest of my Stars challenge. I be back next week for the next bigger tournament session. The Unibet Shedule is pretty good for a small site there is lots of games. Maybe I can fit some Series Events into my Challenge Grind during the week as well. If there is like super good events I don't want to miss them but usually I don't like to mix Tournaments w Cash Games but I will see what is in the shedule and maybe still play some events in between 🙂

I agree that the Unibet schedule is top notch, lots of tournaments, fields not too big and fast paced..  UOS series is the cherry on top as it adds a lot of ev in

even non-Uos events! 

Also u helped me track @mathew1982"soupplease" who seem to be in all my mtt's and keeping me from a lot of final tables 😬😄 STOP COOLERING ME SIR! 😅

I am sure we will. For 50s from the regular shedule its not unusual to start w 6-9 players so we gonna play lots of hands. Anyway, I changed my plans. I decided to play BB Series and Unibet Series everyday instead of chasing the Challenge for the second time this month. Its exhausting and the EV is probably higher as well. 65% RB is awesome but obv Stars gives u a challenge where u have to put in tons of hours and I think cash game is much more stressful than playing Tourneys for 8-9h a day. So I hope we all meet on a few FTs during the next few days and weeks 😉

So the plan is to grind Tourneys until 31.March. Depends a little on what Challenge they give me next month. Def only gonna do it 1 time only. Alright good luck everyone!

I think chase something for any cost is always contraproductive

MY biggest lossses was when i was chasing rakeback heavy and so, A game wasnt there

Unibet series defo has a good value tho, i really like the concept

Added value at leaderboards prize is very nice bonus

Yeah thats true. From now on forward I am only gonna do the challenge once. Its enough. And I can do that easily.

Yday Session I fired way to much rebuys and reentries. Especially in the 50s. Was in for almost 1k at some point. Then I made Final Table of the 25€ Deep Impact and later the 25€ 1k Gtd PKO. 4th and 5th. Both times I got 3 outered for huge stack and ladder step. Then I got to HU in the 10€ PKO Rebuy Add On one. Only to get 3 outered twice for Ship. Always hurts in a PKO but at least I made some money back. Still couple of setbacks. Now back to 1.6k. I will lower my Buy Ins and only put in 1 Bullet + Add On in the 50s for now. Without the challenge I could fire like crazy but the point was to do it w the 1.5k so gonna stick to the plan and be more careful. Still every session is a lot of fun. Feels so great to be back playing Onlinepoker w no stupid 4 table only restrictions or shit like that 🙂

Nice to see this is becoming a thread where the regs meet 😄 GL in the series and on the daily grind!

As promised end of every month the Screenshot from the challenge. Several good runs, but in the end not really good cashes. Also I play a a bit more tables than I should which sometimes results in a missclick or bad play. But once the Series is over it should fit a bit better into my shedule. Made on day 2 from sunday 25€ rebuy or sth but 2nd day started of bad. Lost KK to AQ for a large pot and the rest of the game didn't go much better. In the end busted on 20th place A4 vs T9 BvB pre. What can you do. So far I had 2 or 3 ships but in the smaller ones. 25€ Abyss and 25€ PKO Dwarf Star I think is the name. Not really happy with my results. Got a cg ticket 4€ up to 25€ atm and also 20€ in Bonus money. Plus 140€ from FDB incoming soon. Even if you count that in its like 250 more than what I started with. Lets see how March turns out.
