Sounds like standard spots and setups in which there is not much to do in those cases. So don’t be to hard on your self or over analyze your play if it feels good in overall. As long as you play according to standard and not donking around (with funky plays and crappy holdings) I think you should be happy with your game. And if you don’t feel motivated to play the best thing is to not play and do something else that you find fun and relaxing:happy: There are many days left on this year mate😉

I was out hiking guys, thought that he like never should wake up with AA and KK here if he was a reg. Dont think you over sold the hand. It only shows potential lines and outcomes that take place in the micros. Seen this line taken as well and most of the times opponents can’t let go of their overpairs. You took him on a trip to valuetown.

Would estimate following as a potential calling range pre flop against your 3bet QQ-99, ATs+, QJs, JTs, T9s, AJ+. KK-AA should be 4-Bet pre, these combos are less in his calling range. And you holding a K is reducing the combos of KK to be less likely (3). And when a K hits the flop there is only 1 combo left. You holding a K reduces the potential AK combos (preflop 12 and postflop 8) and if he is competent he might 3Bet some of them pre.AK is less likely weighted. Kind of like the check on the flop with the argument of that you can’t get three streets of value, can also see betting as a +EV play. First guess: JJ Second guess: AJ Third guess: ATs (hearts) or JTs (hearts)

Interesting @Brocky. I am not totally against the limp and maybe that is the standard play here, I’m not so updated in the MTT starts these days. What do you think about balancing the range there with the lumps? Do we ever appear with AA/KK/QQ/AK/JJ/AQ at the flop after a limp in that spot or do we just give an f in balance and play exploitative with limps (I.e mid strength hands and low strength hands that are two week to play OOP) at the given stack sizes? Like the discussion and exchange of thoughts mate!

@Brocky Interesting thoughts! The A7s I think we can raise and expect that BB will fold out a larger portion of his range if we do 2.8-3xBB. I don’t think that the majority of the players defend the BB in this situation wide enough to theory and therefor we can exploit this. But we do take a larger risk to reward and we can also take in discussion how well A7s will do on a flop but I think I will go for a raise here the majority of the time but might mix in a limp here and there dependent on the opponents stack size.

@Brocky I think A7s in SB 20BB vs BB is a open raise. We often lead with this hand and don’t want to give the opponent possiblikity to realize equity with his hand in that spot. We are glad to pick up the dead money in the pot (ante and blinds). If he jams we fold. We can still have a raise/fold range in that spot. 9JJ - I like the line. Can see a check there as well, maybe a bit passive but don’t want to get the X/R ja on river. If we bet we need to call. If he bets out on river, for a small amount, I call. A lead on the river from the opponent with a larg size is not that often a bluff so if that happens it will be a fold if I don’t have any reads or seen the guy come to showdown before with some random sh#t he turns into a bluff.
