UK Tour Manchester

Well it started off with April aka Miss Bunny Boiler getting an interview in Manchester on the Friday that the UK Tour was on. This mean't that we could make an excuse to go and see all the Regs at the Unibet Tour. Unfortunately we were missing quite a few of the regs and the ambassadors. @balticblonde, who is in Australia spending xmas over there with her family and then going on to the Aussie Millions, where Unibets fellow ambassador Dara O'kearney aka slowdoke will be playing as well, taking the almost as famous or if not more so, the no nonsence straight talking Mrs Doke. Cant wait for the tweets and updates on that one. We missed you Daiva. Also @DaVitsche who was not only ill at home but waiting am sure egerly for the arrival of his daughter. Hope you are getting better and Satu is doing well too. @the_conv aka Marc Convey was greatly missed too. As for the Regs, @MathrimC and @hensiepensie missed this tour too. 

I managed to book 2 rooms at The Manchester Airport Hotel, about 6 miles away from the Casino. One for me and Bunny Boiler, and the other one for @Psycho79 and @maestro1980, who after months and months finally won a UK Tour package. The leading few weeks up to the UK Tour was fairly stressful, as trying to get all the arrangements sorted and arrival times etc. But with a bit of improptu and flexible working managed to get it sorted. 

Picked Psycho and Maestro up from the airport. I already knew how tall Mike was but didn't realise how tall Maestro was. What the hell happens over there for them to grow that tall? Do you stick them in a grow bag when they are little and add water and plant feed! Got back to the hotel and then went straight to the casino. Unfortunately this time I didn't get a package, as the rat bags kept on knocking me out! lol But I decided to go anyway to be the chaperone for those two and to make sure that they got the best out of the Unibet UK tour experience, especially as it was a first for Maestro. 

Fingers are getting tired now and I'm a bit exhausted so will continue the blog tomorrow.

Daiva you were missed, am trying to get my head around what to write next as such a lot went off and it was lots of fun. Think will have to do it in word and then copy and paste it over here. Just stopped laughing tbh and the twitch chat on EsonianJesus aka Ben and Ian's stream the next time they were streaming was shall we say not all about poker, but the mischief and mayhem and in jokes that happened in Manchester.

We eventually got to the Casino, and April was outside as she’d just finished her job interview. I look over into the middle of the road and all I could see was a camera lens with no head and a body taking pictures. It only had to be one man. The one the only Tambet said a quick hi and then went inside. As it being his first time at a casino in the UK Maestro had to register and couldn’t go in as a guest as he is under 21. So that all out of the way we enter the Casino. First person I see Is Espen! Great big smile on his face at seeing us all then Dara and Lappin said a quick introduction and hi and gl and then went on to introduce Maestro to everyone else. Walking in to the casino doesn’t bother me anymore. It used to do, but now not so much. The amount of warmth from everyone saying hi and how are you and hugs and stuff is amazing, it is really just like one big multicultural family. I finally spotted @MetalWolf with his better half. Have been waiting a long time to see him as he still hasn’t made an appearance on the Twitch stream with the twitch family. He told his g.f that I would shout at him for not coming on. I didn’t exactly shout but I did tell him off. So by that time it was time for everyone to check their seats and table no’s and sit down and wait for Doug, the TD to say the magic words, “Shuffle up and deal”.

As @metalwolf’s g.f didn’t play poker and looked bored we invited her to come and hang round with me and April. I know how boring and lonely it can be if you don’t understand what’s going on and not really knowing anyone. So we kidnapped her. Ended up walking round Manchester looking for the Chinese quarter. We ended up having a Chinese meal in a restraint, where all the diners were actually Chinese. So that boded well for our choice of venue. I don’t usually drink but we did end up ordering a bottle of wine to share between the 3 of us. After a few hours, we wobbled our way back to the Casino, only to find Iany was on his second bullet of the tourney. Maestro, Psycho and the rest was still in. It was getting late and when I asked what time they would be finishing Day 1A, I was told it would be around 4.30! Mike already asked me before hand if we would be getting a taxi all together back to the hotel. April was getting tired and it was 1 am so said to Mike we were going back and see him when he got there. Back at the hotel I woke up at around 5 seeing if I could hear the boys coming back, as their rooms were next to ours. Didn’t hear anything so went back to sleep. Apparently they didn’t get back to the hotel till 5.30 so they made it to Day 2!

It’s been nearly a month since I’ve played online @Darkangel7. Let myself down on the amount of points I have and decided to take a winter break instead lol but let’s make 2018 my twitch year 😉

My resolution will be to be a lot more visible as a reg and helpful and welcoming to new players joining the game.

wonderful, you'd better teach her, as she seemed really intrested in learning. Even though you didn't think she was. :P
