Ian Simpson's swing party...take two.

Ian had a great middle part of the day as he rose to 149k just 45 minutes ago. But his stack has been back in swing mode since then.

After calling in the BB with 2 ♥️♥️ versus two players, Ian hit the flop he was hoping for as the 2 ♦️♦️♦️ were turned over. He managed to get action on the flop by check-raising all-in and getting a call.

However, his opponent had somehow managed to themselves in an even better spot with pocket threes for middle set. The set held and Ian was back down to 88k.

Not long after Ian informed me that he was once again all-in with the nut flush draw. It was the river that came to his rescue as he hit the flush and as near tripled his stack to 120k.

Sadly Daiva Byrne has departed after shoving her last 10bbs from the CO.

The action folded to her fellow Unibet ambassador Rauno Tahvonen who had an easy call to make with JJ.

Daiva's 44 was in bad shape and the board brought no help.

We are now midway through level 14 with 116 players remaining.

Alan "Hotted89" Widmann has just doubled up through former WSOP Main Event Champion, Dan Harrington.

With 19bbs behind him, he moved all-in from MP and was called by Harrington from the Button.

With Q ♦️ 10 ♦️ , Alan was behind, but live, to A ♥️♥️

There was no help for Alan on the 5 2 9 flop but the turn brought a massive lifeline in the shape of a Queen.

The 8 ♣️ river secured Alan's double against the man with $6,618,963 in live tournament earnings.

Ian up but Rauno down

Ian is up to 153k in the final full level of Day 1b.

His pockets 10s held against AK to send the field down past 100 players.

Elsewhere, Rauno was not so lucky in a flip situation as his 99 could not outdraw his opponents AQ all-in preflop.

Rauno moves down to 90k with blinds at 1.2k/2.4k/400 ante.

Ian has slipped back down to 97k after losing a flip.

He opened with A10o and faced a 3bet.  Ian said he decided to use his table reads and 4bet all-in.

His opponent went into the tank before eventually calling with pocket Nines.

Ian bricked the board and is left with just over 40bbs.

The play is set to enter its' final 20 minutes imminently.

After two long days of poker, we have now concluded our starting flights.

Day 1b has produced 75 players who will join the 44 from Day 1a for tomorrow's Noon Day 2.

The event received a massive 673 entries over the course of two flights.

Ambassadors Rauno Tahvonen (79k), Ian Simpson (85,500), David Lappin (184k) and Scott 'Sco' McMillan (29,500) will all return tomorrow.

Unfortunately, we lost Alan 'Hotted89' Widmann on the very last hand of play when he ran pocket Tens into Kings.

We will once again have the full player list, chip counts and Day 2 seat draw prior to play tomorrow.

Thank you for reading and for now it is goodnight from the Wynn Hotel and Casino.
